That is an awesome fort!

Man is there any way to build a ladder? That seems like an oversight if not... would be sweet to make like an actual house on stilts somewhere along the seaboard!
Nope, but hopefully mods will fix some of the oversights.

In the NG building? Where exactly?
It's like right before you head down to lower lvls with the glowing ghoul and legendary. It's on the right side laying on a box.

That's a pimped out pad! How many people are living in the settlement?
Still 5, lol!

Thanks!

Good question. IIRC there are 4 options for stairs. One of them might be a ladder, but I don't have one. I've made it so that the first set of stairs is straight ahead when you enter, and on the top of the stairs the next set is next to the set you just climbed, all the way to the top.

Just watched a stream and realized there's an actual gate you can build.

I spent ages trying to line up a makeshift doorway by the bridge of Sanctuary. smh

Going to get home, build a crafting warehouse, plant more food and rebuild the gate/watch towers.

This game man...

I'm loving the atmosphere, and I'm having so much fun just exploring, doing side quests, and last, but not least, building settlements!

Here's my house in Sanctuary:

goddamn that's nice. great job!

Thanks for the answers guys. Another question: is there a fast way of acquiring lots of wood after you've exhausted everything in your settlement? Wish the game would let me chop all the trees I want down!

There's other settlements you can acquire for wood. Also you can buy shipments of certain materials from traders.

My undeveloped Red Rocket settlement got attacked... Then Cait came out running with a nuke that I've been saving the whole time and launched three nukes at two Muties at half health.

WTF.

I've tried the "very hard" difficulty. Raider 2 shot me :/

Also, do you recommend the Riffle perk (damage bonus for all non auto riffle) ? I want to play sniper but it seems I'm not doing a lot of damage with it...

What's an easy way to find out where your companions went back to, if you want to reteam?

Bout to head home and want to give it one more shot before I abandon this place, so if anyone knows the answer I would love some help (very early side area spoilers, no story):

In the Satellite dish facility near to Tenpines Bluff, there is a terminal in the center that isn't supposed to be hacked, but has a few options that say "Offline" and says only "authorized peronnel" can connect. Anyone know how to solve it? I've explored the whole facility pretty thoroughly...

Sorry this is so late.

I got caught in the middle of a radiation storm close to there. So i decided to go through it again.
Did you listen to the holo tape? This are the same guys that crashed the helicopter on to the historic museum. Also, he mentions that he has a sister in Boston he wants to go check up on to see if she is save. So my guess is that you can go to Boston and track them down there. Its a pretty solid lead. I have yet to go to Diamond City. So can't expand on that.

If you want to play as a sniper, and are using rifles often, then definitely!

The combat rifle is actually really really really damn strong. Goddamn this thing chews through enemies.

I got one of those along with a combat shotgun before calling it quits for the night. Can't wait to get home from work and try them out.

Also can't wait to rank up a few more times to get the next level of gun nut. Some of those mods look awesome.

sounds like we need to keep important ammo in our personal inventories

it'd be good if you could just lock a door, or at least a container in your settlements

This is my laser rifle. There are others like it but this one is mine.

I really hate the appearance of the assault rifle. Was the R91 G3 lookalike really that hard, Bethesda? Thankfully, there'll probably be a dozen Colt AR15 variants on Fallout Nexus in a month.

Is there a list of all weapons armor and commands yet? My boredom of this game can only be solved by the cmd edits

also how do I get Piper out of the god damn power armor?

Quick question that I can't seem to find a google answer for: Is it possible to recruit Codsworth as a companion after the start. I turned him down initially but would like to give him a go now if possible.

I remember reading about an amazing side quest in this thread earlier in the week, but can't recall the name for it. Does anybody know?

That's all the info I have, unfortunately.

Fuck. After finding out you can get the Cryolator in Vault 111 using Dogmeat I'm really not sure whether I should do it or not. Since its a bug/glitch I don't think I should... That's cheating...

Imma work for it...

But damn... It's right there... Grabbable... And I'm only level 2...

Found a .44 pistol, modded it out nicely. But now I do not have any ammo and I'm making my way to Diamond City, how screwed am I?

Dont go to Diamond City without ammo bro. For sure if it is your first time going there. There is a trader at a small diner near the red rocket.

I also cheated a bit by using the money cheat and get some shipments of screws and adhesive.. so good

There is a way to do this.

Find a room with only one entrance. Build a container inside it. Place your precious stuff inside the container. Then, build a wall/some other large item infront of the doorway to block NPC access. When you need to gain access, just move the item you placed blocking the door, just dont forget to put it back again!

Copper and screws man! I've never needed for adhesives, but copper and screws!
word.

Yep. It's great!
If you aren't playing this game on survival, you're playing it wrong.
I wonder how much of a difference I'd feel from Very Hard to Survival. I find it quite challenging so far.

Interesting, I did listen to that but I didn't think about the fact that there might be live NPCs somewhere corresponding to it. I'll give Bethesda a ton of points if there really is some way to come back later and
turn on the dish array.
I found this within my first like 3 hours of gameplay, lol. So that would be quite satisfying.

Wait where is this trader? I know about the farm close to red rocket. I'm not above using the money glitch
