My VATS stopped working...

This game's been so bug-ridden for me.

At least your character is nor The wanderer in Underwear

Fallout 4 Logic: My son has been kidnapped! Let me go salvage this town, paint my armor, and plant some food.

Seriously though I am addicted to this game.

This is a trope of most open-world RPGs, to be fair. (i.e. urgent quest, but main character decides to do 1,000 sidequests with no repercussion)

its just like building your town.....there really is nothing showing you what to do.....I don't even know what I need to do to light up the damn bulbs in the house I put up lol.

Stick a power pole switch on top of the house. It lights up stuff based on radius s you may have to make more than one.

Someone spoiled the game ending with a random dog gif on Ifunny, *sighs* I saw it for a split second, but it made enough sense. Don't get to play it till Friday so I'm super bummed.

People are fucking idiots. I'm sorry, man. I'd be pissed.

Someone posted a spoiler in here only a few days ago, total pleb.

Dropped the difficulty to easy for shits and giggles, and I think I'm having more fun with the game. The higher difficulties weren't really challenging in a fun way, they were really just annoying.

Whenever FO4 gets its version of the wanderer's edition, I'm downloading that shit in a heartbeat tho. Loved it in FO3, everything was so deadly.

For those looking to heal your radiation easily early game, Doc Anderson can be found just a short distance East of Concord, and directly Southeast of the location T
hicket Excavations
right outside the entrance sitting next to a cooking station with a settler.

I don't want spoilers here, just simple one sentence answers:

Will the game let me know if quests I'm doing for one faction interfere or conflict with interests of another faction I'm in? Or can I just do everything for everybody, Skyrim-style?

I love this about Bethesda games, just random shit going down in the world. A lot of other open world games are very bland/static, they usually don't feel "alive", things don't happen on their own. Now I was wondering through some open area dark at night, very quiet, I've heard no enemies around and then out of nowhere I hear a huge fire fight, tons of bullets, shouting/profanities and then 3 huge explosions and total silence. Went to investigate and it seems a bunch of raiders and gunners got into a fight, someone lit up some sort of explosions by accident or purpose and they all died as a result. Truly only Bethesda games offer this type of open world experience, the only other game that comes close to this sort of thing is the STALKER series. I love it.

Why is there a delay after you load a save? You can't move for like a second after loading which screws you over if you saved during combat

So no point in playing on Survival right? You just take more damage and people are tougher to kill? I don't think my sneaking build is working out too well for Survival :/

One thing I'm confused about is activating Protectrons. I tried setting them to Subway Patrol so they wouldn't turn hostile when I presented them with a Subway Token. They still go aggro.

I'm playing on Survival and mostly enjoying it (though sometimes a random bloodbug just 1 shots me and that's brutal). From what I understand, Survival difficulty increases the chances of running into legendary enemies/getting legendary loot.

One time I thought this happened to me - but in fact I was in the "select menu" interface, so I couldn't VATS until I picked a gun. Perhaps that's the problem?

Nope, I can shoot and everything.

Lost a good hours worth of progress. Game's been too buggy for me. Might just have to drop it for a bit.

so about this settlement building business

It seems you have to open workshop mode, try and figure out/remember who hasn't already got a job, go up to them, then slowly walk over to the resource you want them to work. Why can't you sprint? Why isn't there a list of people in the settlement who don't have work? Did Bethesda test this at all? It's so tedious.

Yeah it kind of sucks. I wish there was a management app or something. That would be amazing.

Wow. The ending can be spoiled in a simple gif? Fuuuuuuck

That Bethesda writing. Massive game spoiled by a 4 second gif. Amazing. Glad I don't play their games for the story.

Apparently if the gif was right, I'm hoping it wasn't but deep down I think it is...

I'm not sure if it was the ending spoiler, but it definitely was a spoiler.

Aw hell no, I'm glad I don't really visit many places in the internet that are not GAF. Probably should quit Twitter for a couple of days

I'm going to cut my losses and not look at anything else, because there is still a whole lot more that could be spoiled that I don't want spoiled.

Level 18 with a focus on sneaking on Survival and sneaking around has saved my ass plenty of times. I'm surprised so many are disliking the Survival difficulty, I'm having a blast with it.
