Do the quest, after killing the raiders enter the clocktower and make your way through.
Guy at the top with the cowboy hat will want you to get the battery on the bottom floor, armors on the roof.

thank, wish i would have gotten it sooner :/

Damn, I can't recall having been on a gaming binge this intense ever before. I've practically only been playing and sleeping for the past two days. Took a break now.

This game is just too good. It's not perfect, but it just scratches that gaming itch in a way no other game can for me.

I thought all of my outposts were supposed to be connected, but one if them has an unconnected transfer inventory? Isn't that what local leader does? Do I need people in it first?

Local Leader Rank 2 is really disappointing... I need Barter 2 AND Medic 1 as well? Consider that 4 points wasted. :X Thinking using the console to distribute those 4 points into something else. Does that void achievements?

Does Sanctuary have a chemistry station? I can't find it and I'm afraid I might've destroyed it on a salvaging spree. I need Local Leader 2 to craft one and fuck that.

Ran into my first game-changing but 30 hours in. In doing the detective mission, the area I need to enter will not open when activated. In fact, when trying to activate it, it will bug out VATS completely.

Watched a clip, and there is an animation that my character is missing while doing this.

When she hooks up her Pip-Boy to the machine, the plastic cover does not spring off the button to enter Vault 114. She mashes the glass and the door doesn't open. I had to use console commands to lead the detective outside as well.

Edit - Was an ini tweek issue. Noticed I couldn't open doors via terminals and thought something was suspicious.

Do any of the quests teach you about assigning workers to tasks (via the Workshop), or is that just something you're expected to discover on your own? I went through the little tutorial in Sanctuary but found it very lacking. I feel like there are still loads of things about the Workshop that haven't been explained adequately, if at all.

Tenpenny towers is expanding, now in a fantastic location. Scenic view of the greater Boston area from your private penthouse apartment!

The building of settlements is sucking up so much of my time! :)

this looks like a building sraight out of Rust

If you passed the tutorial on food, then you saw it. You have to assign a worker to the food.

All it required me to do was plant food until the number at the top was high enough. I just planted a bunch of melons and carrots (and gourd) and it let me finish the quest. Maybe I missed something?

These faction trophies are pretty confusing, found a guide on youtube that tried to lay out what you have to do and when to create alt saves but I'm still very unsure :/

The house that has the cooking? i have not seen a chem bench in Sanctuary. But i have not looked on the back of some of the houses near the bridge.

There is.

Only bench that needs built in Sanctuary is the Scavenging one.

Hm, that's when I remember seeing it. Basically go into the crafting interface and then just go up to an individual.

"Assign" should pop up at the bottom. Hit the button and then go find what you want to assign him/her to. Click button while object is highlighted.

Holy what. This game lets you shoot from cover in first person. Face a corner the aim down sights and you'll lean out.

How do I get the mission to (not really spoilery but I'll tag it I guess)
Make the diamond city radio guy not talk like a doofus? I can't stand him anymore, haha

do settlement missions ever stop coming? Got tired of them being on my mission list, but it just seems like I am doing the same thing over and over again in different locations

I have noticed that using the Pip Boy's flashlight it makes things look more ugly than they need to, i wish they would have given a proper flashlight or have it act like a proper one. Bit like the one on the Power Armor.

I also encountered my first bug/glitch. In the museum while talking to Sturges the text stopped and the guy kept talking but no text. This lasted for the whole conversation. I hope they will fix this.

Does the Radio DJ talk about happenings and rumours around the wasteland like Three Dog in FO 3?

Yes. there are certain transmissions that point out things happening in the wasteland.

I have not noticed. But does the flashlight cast real time shadows? that is my biggest complain with the game. Some interiors just miss being lit and cast appropriate shadows. It looks weird.

If there isn't (I don't remember) I know there is one just down the road behind the Red Rocket station.

First of all it does it automatically. Then when settlere etc come you have to do it manually.

Yes, coming in the town from the bridge, it's behind the first house on the left, across the street from the cooking station house.

Okay, I'm gonna restart. I made a high intelligence, high strength character with the idea that he was going to be a smart mêlee fighter, but I figured out that the game apparently really wants you to shoot things. All the strongest stuff I found were guns and as a result my character was seriously gimped. I just did that Brotherhood quest with the swarms of synths and I was unable to do a thing. If I tried to melee them they shot me to pieces, if I tried to shoot them I needed ten or more bullets per enemy since my perception was low.

So I'm starting a new character with a guns/agility/luck focus, that should be sufficient. And fuck intelligence, that shit is completely useless now apparently, even the associated perks are shit (except for hacking, I guess).

I am passing no persuasion checks at all.

It would help if they let me know the requirements in the dialogue section like The Witcher 3....

dammit, i SWEAR there was a safe that needed advanced lockpicking skill somewhere around the gift shop or Walden Pond... now that i have the skill i can't find the safe anywhere and Dogmeat ain't helping me find it :(

anyone?

i think it was to the west of Walden Pond, maybe far enough beyond that other bigger body of water so that you almost reach the boundary of the world.. i dunno. i've spent 45min searching now and i'm tired of this area, random feral ghouls scaring me all the time :( the safe was half in the ground, kind of hard to spot.. up a hill somewhere.

just when i think i'm fed up with this game, it give me a beautiful fallout storm and i can't stay mad at it

Go to the hotel in that city and talk to everyone, you'll get a mission that does just that.

Should I bother giving my settlers better guns and armor in Sancturary? Like if it ever does get raided and the Raiders get past my turrets what's the worst they can do? Steal resources? Permanently kill settlers?
