Halo 5: Guardians |OT| The Trials of Osiris

Couldn't connect to the Halo 5 Guardians Lobby Service at all today. Couldn't play multiplayer in any capacity, be it matchmaking or join/invite friends, but I could customize my guy still.

East coast USA for what it's worth, just got the NXOE today (not a preview member).

When will this be rectified?

It's hard to tell now because I've replayed a few missions, but Guardians and Reunion took me the longest, Reunion because I turtled up in a corner with zero weapon ammo waiting for teammates to respawn and target Warden etc.

Things just haven't been the same since MCC...

Well. How about you stop talking and start playing? MCC or not, you not playing H5 is not because of it being bad. This is the best playing Halo in a long time.

This, how does a game launch with Forge maps? The maps in general are nade pinball machines.

I am frustratingly bad compared to the beta and I can't figure it out. Part of it is I am a bumper jumper and the ADS is to slow on the right stick. I have been watching theater at me being wrecked and a lot of those players never switch from the AR. I am getting taken down at longer ranges because historically the AR did not have that range, I switch to magnum and I'm dead.

I am also SHOCKED how many people are playing scoped in with autos and crouched. I get it, in this game it works but since I am used to that in Halo it catches me by surprise.

I think most of the issues people run into playing solo is lack of communication...

If people would wear there mic I really don't think there'd be an issue. I have mine on whenever I play, and I notice that when I start talking, other players end up turning theirs on too.

If not, they at least seem to be listening

They need to bring back the Halo 3 hit X to party up. The default party is still to much work and people dont want to bother with it.

Wait, there is actually a legit aiming issue? I posted before that its almost like you need to aim with your feet. Like the right stick stops working. It goes up and down by side to side gets stiff the closer you get. Its weird. Maybe its the servers?

Anyone else get melee or weapon switch issues. like they are slow to register or dont register at all?

There is an issue and they are patching it shortly as specified in the most recent waypoint update.
However it's only for one aspect of what people are complaining about. For the aim acceleration complaints they're planning on patching in aim customization options in December so that people can adjust it how they like it. I think that's the one you're waiting for. As am I.

I'm amazed theyre giving that to us, it's awesome. I hope they deliver.
 
Just got banned for getting disconnected. Between that and quitters, I'm never going to rank up. This is after I went from wifi to ethernet, opened all the required ports even though my NAT was open already. Still connected to Live.

Managed to rank Onyx in FFA. Was putting off those placement matches and I guess it worked out. I'm a lot better at the game now that I've adjusted to the aiming (with the help of the southpaw trick).

Does Onyx always start at 1500 when it shows your raw CSR?

Oh that is what those are. My mind blanked that out as I've not been running through the core and instead grab an armoury for base capture points.
 
The last two nights have been brutal in Warzone. Kept getting dropped onto the losing team partway into matches. But I finally unlocked the DMR tonight, just as I was finishing up. About damn time. I look forward to BTB next week though.
 
Asking my younger cousins why they didn't buy Halo 5, and instead bought Black Ops 3. 'No one like Halo, it's too boring'. If I was near them I'd have slapped the shit out of them for that. Don't know how 343 can counter this. Even though it's anecdotal. All they play is either Minecraft (not anymore), Destiny, Fifa or now Black Ops.
 
I apologize for the newbie question, I'm new to Xbox One.

I was trying to play with some people tonight from /r/HaloPlayers and joined their Xbox party, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to join their game. On PS4 I just select the player in party and go "Join Game" but that option was greyed out on everyone in the Xbox party. What am I missing?

Damn right. The game is amazing. Even with family and work, I still have logged 1 day 14 hours in just the arena. That is without the campaign and war zone. This is my goat so far.
 
Went on a 39 killing spree in Warzone before dying cause I rushed out desperate to get the last kill before the game ends.

Damn I want that Unfrigginbelievable so bad x(

Edit: I haven't gotten a perfection medal either yet. I want one too D:

I have over two days, without even touching the campaign yet. Only two matches in Warzone, I am not a fan of large maps and vehicles.
