I do, which is partly why I consider NV to be garbage.
Lol

The game was mostly filled with a lot of "why should I care?" moments and ho-hum dialogue and characters.I didn't like how New Vegas just pushed you out of a house and went "ok now go do something". I had no motivation to go anywhere or find out what to do.

How many perks do you have spent in Sneaking?
You have to also kinda crawl forward on the stick. Even when sneaking your footsteps can be heard by enemies that are higher level than you.
Are you moving slowly aswell as sneaking? Also heavier armour can get you detected.
Jesus, the pedestal that NV gets put on, lmao
Mojave was a complete snooze
Well the most obvious motivation at that point is find the guy who shot you in the head and try to find out why if not seek revenge.I didn't like how New Vegas just pushed you out of a house and went "ok now go do something". I had no motivation to go anywhere or find out what to do.
Pretty much this for me as well. The game was mostly filled with a lot of "why should I care?" moments and ho-hum dialogue and characters.
Uhm it really wasnt , also we were talking about this game's horrible dialogue system.
Im curious when people say the dialogue system is fine, have they played any other fallout game?
Madness. Do you not like well-written games?
wait, PS4 framerate goes to absolute unplayable shit when you go to Corvega..? that's my next target.. fuck. i'm not ready for it, had such a terrible time with Fallout 3 on PS3 with it's massive framerate issues, i don't want to relive it again after all these years goddamnit.
i thought the new consoles could handle 25-30fpsthis is fucking bullshit.
Ahh that explains it. I will try to move slower next time then. Also need to look into the sneaking perk. Don't think I have dropped a point in it yet.
Thanks!
You mean like...FO3...and FO4...like...Skyrim?
Your complaint made my head hurt![]()
It's garbage. Mass Effect is fine.
FO3 and FO4 attempt to give the player personal motivation.

What I hated about New Vegas is that it forced you to stay on one path until you got to New Vegas.
Yeah, I don't really get why people think that game is so great. So many reused areas throughout that world, and just an overall boring game. Fallout 3 was much more interesting to me. But hey, opinions. Right now Fallout 4 has stolen my heart so that's all I care about at the moment.

Not sure what obsidian's goal was, but fun had nothing to do with it.It's not hard to understand - some people play games for different reasons. It should be obvious a world that's fun to explore wasn't Obsidian's main goal with NV.
why is the world missing those open empty stretches?
theres a big damn town every 10 steps.
the world reminds me more of the division than fallout.
its starting to get annoying.
wheres my wasteland?

My personal issue with NV was after that point
TheReally like the game but have yet to do a quest that is actually memorable.
Hope Bethesda announces something new soon and everyone goes "Ooohh.. they were busy with that!"
Getting shot in the head is not personal motivation?
You are way too easy going, dude.
Exactly thisExcept the game makes it clear that the playeris not attacked for a personal reason, but due to what he has been paid to transport. Even if we assume that the player character wants revenge, an understandable reaction, there is no (personal) reason to get involved in the politics of the region.

Anyone used the console command for increase carry weight? I know its kind of cheating but i need the parts to craft and I spend an hour dropping stuff. Will I still get STEAM achievements if I put in a console command?
That's not necessarily a bad thing, it allows for the player to come up with his/her own motivations.
Exactly this
This is 200 years later in Boston, of course it's packed with stuff, I like that they didn't use the excuse of Wasteland to make the world boring.why is the world missing those open empty stretches?

ugh, I was exposed to some major spoilers while innocently reading up on some of the companions to see if they had personal quests tied to them.was the only one who seemed to have one before I soured on the whole thing. is that correct?Curie
"My infant son has been kidnapped but I really like building shit: The Game."
It's dumb. Witcher 3 had the exact same problem (also "hey a monster is terrorizing your town? Let me come back in 6 months when I'm level 23").
Does this sense of urgency ever go away during the main quest or am I gonna have to rush through it if I don't like the idea of playing as an asshole who's in no hurry to save his own child?

I'm gonna assume this means yes.The sense of urgency isn't all that urgent
Madness lolDamn. People are actually complaining about too many locations now.
Because life is getting back to normal now. Civilization is returning. In Fo3 everyone livedlike animals, there was nothing in the way of trade, or cities.
