oh man... for anyone else tired of chasing people down in the settlements, I just realized you can build a bell under resources that gathers them up
Are you locked to a single group and have to load a save to join and finish another?
So, how do ya romance? Is restricted to certain NPCs?
I had to cheese this one -- over by one of the doors to the inside part of the fort, there are two partially bricked up windows, one of which you can shoot through that will protect you from the queen's annoying spit attack. All you have to worry about is the occasional wandering hatchling.
I'm getting my ass kicked.
I can't kill the Mirelurk Queen. All the NPCs die along with other Mirelurks just chasing me constantly. I cant even seem to get away to leave it for now it just follows me.
Got the perk poster framed for only $22, potato quality picture.

does that come with the game or the strat guide?
I'm not sure what to do regarding storing my stuff - is it the workbench I want to store it at? Do I need to create a container in the settlement I have to store stuff? Im almost at my limit for carrying. Can I put all the items (junk, weapons, armor) into the same container? or do they have to go into different containers? Are there limits to how much can be stored in a given container?

Just dump everything in the workshop. Junk is auto-scrapped and there is a button to transfer all junk (y on xbox). You can use left/right to filter the different categories of items laterI'm not sure what to do regarding storing my stuff - is it the workbench I want to store it at? Also, I have my Power Armor (only 1) stored at Red Rocket garage at the PA rack. However there are no defences in place at Red Rocket - should I move it to a secured settlement? Would I run the risk of loosing it otherwise?
best part though, lv14 and still no sight of a legendary monster. even though i have two legendary weapons and a chestpiece that slows down time if i lose 3/4th of my health.
Keep taking your companion on quests and keep asking about their thoughts.
Anyone know how to make the UI bigger on PC? I'm trying to play on my tv in big picture mode and I can't read anything on the pip boy :/
I need circuitry in the worst way.
Any good spots to get this?
So what's the deal with factions this time around? I joined the Minutemen but then as soon as I was asked to join the BoS the Minutemen companion got pretty antsy. Can I join more than one faction at a time? And is this the same "good" Brotherhood as the one in Fallout 3?
Question for those who have done the quest Diamond City Blues:
During the meetup, I went through with the murder of Nelson Latimer. I also killed Paul after we split the loot because he was being a ponce about things.
Nelson's dad confronted me about killing his son. We ended at an impasse, with him promising retribution. A couple of hired guns have shown up and tried to take me out in Diamond City, presumably on his behalf.
On this page: http://www.nukahub.com/quest/diamond-city-blues/, it says that all of Diamond city will eventually turn hostile toward you if you kill Nelson and cannot resolve things with his father (as happened to me).
Does anyone know if this is correct? I really don't want to lose access to Diamond City. Kind of hoping that if I don't finish the quest (haven't gone to the chem factory yet), the whole city won't turn against me? Or maybe if they do, I can do the "wait for 7 days" trick to get them to forget?
Ran into a legendary deathclaw yesterday at like level 12. Thought I was hosed, luckily I had recently picked up a rocket launcher AND you can cheese pathing by standing on a box. Figured there'd be some huge reward, nope.
Get out of your power armor near a power armor station (it's two yellow bars, there's one in Sanctuary and one in the Red Rocket Gas Station). Then go into the Craft menu (E on PC) and you can see your individual armor parts. You can then press the prompt to repair them (which will cost you resources). How do you repair power armor parts?
This gives you an idea of what the companion likes, but essentially, there are certain actions (both quest and miscellaneous actions) that each NPC is fond of, as well as ones they don't like. It gets pretty obvious who likes what after a bit, though.
edit: Also, question related to the vault suit - if you're not wearing it when you're trying to enter a certain area post-power armor acquiring, does a certain NPCNot call you by a certain callsign?Piper
I actually think the name she givesis kinda cool, but am wondering what'd happen if she didn't see the suit.Blue
So, is there any sort of reputation or karma system whatsoever?

Nice! I need to pick up a frame for mine, so it can go alongisde my framed map of Skyrim.
my exact experience with likely the same encounter
I thought every legendary enemy drops legendary loot.
I absolutely despise the companion system in this game. I finally found my damn dog, and now I want to use Piper for a few missions and she's gone MIA at Red Rocket.
Ugh.

Anyone have any insight on this?

So who are your favorite companions to bring along? Mine is.Strong
Does great power with the melee and by getting in close, distracts some of the harder foes so I can blast them away from a distance.
I like Dogmeat too for the same reasons. Havent got that perk for him yet.
Ya I'm not surprised, was kinda outta left field seeing it at the end of that area. I almost died cause I fell off the damn box when it only had a bit of HP left. Fired a rocket, takes him down a bit more... figured I was dead then the mysterious stranger comes out and finishes him off. LUK build is so damn stupid good lol.
What I assumed too, nope just meats.
Yay another game where the enemies call the female player character "bitch" every 10 seconds.
Well that sucks. Any chance you can reload and take him on again to see if he drops anything?
The same thing's happening to me and I haven't had any repercussions beyond the triggermen showing up to harass me, so I don't think you have anything to worry about. The person writing that guide may have accidentally shot a civilian in the gunfight which would turn the entire city against you. I wish I could kill Lattimer to stop getting harassed, but I haven't seen him anywhere.
holy shit theres a place to hand in those "overdue books"
Bathesdaaaaaaaaaaa
Oh my God. Doing that ASAP. Thank you.check my tip from the last page -- solved this problem for me
Screw that lol. Last legendary dropped a crap item anyways, I'll just move on. A pity though since my character is dumb as a rock so she can't craft crap.
That'sIn terms of how the Brotherhood is displayed in 4:They are much more ruthless than 3's BoS and have a genocidal hatred of synths. I feel like the writing doesn't even acknowledge that the BoS does some seriously messed up stuff to achieve their goals, they are still 'the good guys' in the end despite their problematic worldview and tactics.
It doesn't work for me. When I tell Dogmeat to grab it the book disappears instantly.
