I'm reading the art book while I wait for my laptop to finish updating, and there's this bit about the Infinity offering the player a "narrative 'home base'." That didn't really happen in 5, but I wonder if it might end up serving as some kind of hub in Halo 6?

BTW, what's also in the art book is some very pretty art.

Playing battlefront made Me realize what a great game halo is. My level of enjoyment going from supremacy in battlefront to warzone in Halo was night and day.

It has loads of gorgeous images in it but offers little explanation behind each piece and what purpose it was supposed to serve at the time. Would have liked more "making of" descriptions like those in the Art of Star Wars books.

The problem is the title, not the content. It encourages garbage posting and drivebys. there are SO MANY OTHER MORE CONSTRUCTIVE TITLES he could have used.

The titles you posted (except Last of us I guess) compound my rage, not ameliorate it. they are garbage titles too.

Your team has one of the hardest jobs in gaming because of that; it's tough when "the new guy" isn't just a carbon copy of the old. While things might not be perfect, I really respect you guys for trying to keep the franchise fresh by experimenting with new ideas instead of pushing out a bunch of Halo 2 or 3 ".5s" while still keeping in touch with the core fan base. You guys have done a fantastic job with Halo 5 and I'm really excited to see how it grows in the future. Thanks for delivering a Halo that will definitely be one of the better ones in many people's books.

It's easy to pick on Halo 5. The game is different from previous enteries in the series. Halo 1-3 were godlike. MCC had some well documented issues. Add to that that Halo 5 did not sell as well as previous Halo games and GAF not being particularly fond of 343i and it is easy to see why we have so many threads.

That said, FO4/Bethesda is catching lots of flack too about performance issues and story/opening but their sales figures appear to be excellent so far. So that always eases the pain.

All of th pick ups are more powerful and generally easier to use. (Except for the sniper). That's the whole point of picking them up really.

If the did end up nerfing it, they should have it overheat just as soon as you expel enough plasma to kill one Spartan. That way, you'd have to land all your shots to get the kill, or resort to melee.

You've made a fantastic game that's brought me back into the halo fold for the first time since 2, also for the first time in god-knows hoe long I won't be buying a COD this year thanks to the multiplayer.

The quality of discussion here has really dropped over last few years so i wouldn't take it personally, I think you should all be proud of what you shipped.

IMO, Halo 5 is very good and is taking Halo in a good direction, I think Halo 6 will hit a sweat spot as it going to be Halo 5 with done tweeks and offers what everyone think Halo 5 was missing. Halo 6 GOAT, quote me 3 years from now.

Halo 5 MP could easily surpass most of the other games with a dozen or so targeted additions and improvements, and then the rest will be in the hands of the community by way of custom content.

Forge team could use some more guys though. No way 5 will be enough to keep the content rolling out.

Fair enough. I wouldn't be surprised if Halo 5 didn't sell as well as Halo 4 but there are very good reasons for that which have nothing to do with the quality of the game.

Please do not listen to this 343. The storm rifle is perfect. Please don't nerf it. I would say that the shotgun /scattershot range needs a nerf. But it is only a problem when the server is far away. High ping equals 6 maybe 7 frames behind the server.

Everything feels so good. Nothing needs nerfing.

Yep, this is the most important thing to me right now. I didn't like the direction the franchise took with Reach and 4, but the gameplay in Halo 5 is great, and it feels like a much more natural evolution of the Halo formula. The game is not perfect, of course, but for Halo 6 I really hope they keep the core gameplay, refine it, improve the things Halo 5 doesn't do so well, and spend time re-introducing all the features that were cut after Reach (Campaign Scoring, Campaign Theatre, Firefight, etc)
