More like people are pointing out a mole hill and saying "Oh look a molehill. That molehill probably indicates that we have moles around. Moles are pretty bad to have in our own yard, someone could sprain an ankle. We should probably look at this molehill as a symptom of a larger mole problem and act accordingly."

People are pointing something out and talking about what it is indicative of. Just because a molehill isn't a mountain doesn't mean that it should be ignored. Hell, molehills should be prioritised because unlike mountains, they can be more easily dealt with.

How many fat guys are in the jury? How many asians? Women? Cats? Dogs? Elderly? Gays?

Soon someone will be complaining that the stage is grey and it should be purple because purple is not represented enough in games industry.

I dont mean to offend anyone but people must realize its just a freaking game award, start worrying with some valid stuff, help some people, do some community work and stop counting how many girls are voting for the best puzzle mobile game of the quarter.

Would it be better if it was 16/16 men/women? Maybe yes, maybe not, if someobe thinks the judges are not qualified or dont thrust the organization jusy ignore it and go on, play some fallout and spend your time being less cranky and making a huge fuzz on it.

it's a videogame award show, so of course it has no credibility. it exists as a marketing vehicle for showing trailers with some awards breaking up the advertisements.

Female jurors: 6%

Set up an independent committee that pick the judges or something. Do something else. There are more than one way of setting up a jury, and no one is forcing the GA to chose a method that produces ridiculous results.

It's a pretty proportional response. No matter how small of an issue you think having Breitbart involved, in any way, is; choosing not to watch an online only Video Game awards show has to be smaller.

Bloodborne is like the 2nd highest rated game on that list. Plus its an amazing game , are you saying it is surprising it got in because its relatively niche? Because yea it kind of is. I would be really surprised if it won the award , even though I really want it to win.

Nobody is suggesting this happened due to a conspiracy. It happened because of systemic issues that plague our society but are especially prevalent in the tech sector, and even more-so in gaming.

That this happened is not unexpected, that it was allowed to happen is disappointing.
