Fallout 4 |OT| Atom Bomb Baby

What SPECIAL spec did you guys start at? I went all 4s to get a taste of everything.. but now I have an idea of what I like and don't like.

Just curious what you ran through as first time.

Went there yesterday and had a very funny situation, in front of the Court 35 Building were some Raiders and the SentryBot came out of his booth and drove straight over the edge of the roof. After that there was just the Assaultron left which I had to take care of.

But to my disappointment there was no X-01 Armor in the Locked Room, only a complete T-60b Armor.

Glowing Sea. The whole time I was there I was constantly checking behind myself and looking everywhere for sometime to totally fuck me over. I just wanted to get the fuck out of there as fast as I could. Something really claustrophobic about that area.

1 point in the ammo perk, the rest is just be looting every body and crate because im a hoarder.

Also I always used the guns I have the most ammo for while I stocked on the other ammo. While leveling I carried 4-5 different types of guns for different types of ammo

...these days I carry like 12 lol
 
Just finished the Cabot family quest.
What do you get if you stick with Jack, because I sided with Lorenzo and having unlimited serum seems pretty great. Cool quest though, and I managed to persuade Edward to turn on Jack. He then called me crazy for siding with Lorenzo afterwards lol
 
I only collect stimpaks, grenades, legendary gear and ammunition from corpses, and then I just warp to Sanctuary (Settlement), Diamond City, Goodneighbor (best one) and sell unneeded legendary gear and ammunition and buy the ammo I need (Shot Gun shells and .308 for a long time, later then .50 and now 2mm on top). Never had ammo or caps struggle and didn't waste a perk on it.

I knew from the Fallout 3 days that the Scrounger perk is a lifesaver in terms of finding enough ammo. There is no need to put more than 1 point into it, though.

I would also recommend on upgrading the pipe rifles so the damage is higher. This makes the first 10-20 hours of Fallout 4 much more survivable because the ammo for those rifles quickly goes into the 1k range.

Later on you will eventually find ammo for the other types of weapons.

You get a shit unique rad gun with a unique type of ammo

Rad as in radiation, not rad as in dope :p

Get the Hazmat suit from a quest in Goodneighbour. You can explore that area to your heart's content.

chances are the patch will first of all go for fixing the vendor glitch.

Then hopefully they god damn fix any game breaking bugs. Also fix settlements losing happiness for glitched out reasons

Damn I didn't even know about that. This was the first time I really used my power suit.

I'm not in a rush to go back but I bet there's some neat stuff I missed

My characters name is Marceline (after adventure time I love that show and name), and my go to gun is a combat shotgun with 76 damage, drum magazine and a host of other mods. Slowly working it's way up. It's called Adventure Time as I can't go on am adventure without it.

Machete Kills = Machete
Face Full of Buckshot = Combat Shotgun
Hitman .308 = Sniper Rifle
Point Five O = Heavy Sniper
Mighty Molester = Combat Rifle
Silent Death = Silenced 10 mm Pistol
Dirty Harry .44 = Revolver
L.A.Z.E.R. = Laser Rifle

I think that's all of them. Can be more but I never have all with me.

The 25% damage boost it does at max level is preeeeeeeeeeetty sweet. +100 carry weight and 33% damage reduction are also included in that package, I did not miss my companions one bit.

Great thing is that you can take dogmeat with you and still get that benefit.
 
Found the Boston Bugle offices and some of the remaining terminals here do some fucking great world building.

This game's universe is so fuuuuuuuucked. It's great in a terribly depressing way.

I have my main three I'll keep the whole game:

Power sledgehammer with energy damage= Mjolnir

Electric serrated chinese officer sword with 50% extra damage to robots= Raiden

Silenced pistol with 25% less cost to VATS = 007
 
The more I play the better it gets! Been playing solid since release. There's always something new happening around the next corner. My personal GOTY.

Goty for me too. and I've been thinking long and hard about it, but it is time:

Fallout 4 is going into my top 10 games of all time. Superb experience.
 
25+ hours not even to diamond city yet. Finally found one legendary enemy which was a raider. Drops a freaking melee weapon which is useless for me.

Playing on very hard too.

Settlers bugged a second set of power armor out of existence. Storing my stuff in uninhabited settlements from now on. This is infuriating.

Damn. I'm starting to believe that it is random, but everyone's seed is generated at the start of their game. It then stays with that same probability throughout the game?

Because I'm at the point where every area I goto has at least one legendary enemy. Hell in the beginning of the game, I ran into a legendary radroach lmao.


On normal BTW.
 
Since im not a "professional" and dont need to judge games by whatever metrics professionals judge games by, I dictate my game of the year as "my favorite game of the year" and not "which game do I think was the best game of the year"

Thus, Fallout 4 is my goty. But I completely understand when it doesnt win that award anyware. Because it probably shouldn't. Its too busted for one, and the narrative completely falls apart halfway through the game (and im not even a "bathesda ate garbage writers" person). But thats why im not a professional :)

Its also easily my favorite Fallout (oh my god burn the heretic...I only played 3 onward anyway lol), and favorite Bathesda game.

Fallout, Witcher, Bloodborne. What a fucking year (for me)

this is why I remove the individual body parts off the power armor and store them in a nearby container. I don't want to risk somebody taking it, the shit disappearing.

Yeah, went in there sneaking the other day and got swarmed a second later by a Legendary Feral Ghoule blabla. Loaded, went to Sanctuary got my Power Armor and cleared the House in T -5 minutes. Was really satisfying!
 
I have no idea how I'm going to do everything. The downtown area where all the towers are at is huge and confusing. I remember thinking Lexington will probably the second biggest town in the game.

I once had the Pipboy tell me Sanctuary hit 18 people up from 9, happiness was dropping rapidly, so I went there and bam - still only 9 people.
