The Final Bosman Show

I love that this was posted on the same day as all of the reviews for 2 of Nintendo's lowest rated games ever

Yeah, couldn't help thinking the same thing. Momentum's back baby! Then immediately Nintendo runs into a wall of some of their worst reviewed games in a long while both on the same day.

And Cloud is a pretty good Doc Brown Spider Monster. Still feels like an insane dream when I think about how I heard the FF7 music and had no idea what the fuck was happening until the smash logo appeared. Shit was some of the longest 10 something seconds of my life.

A year ago we had a nice red curtain and a weird cruise picture that he drew stick figures on. Now we have an ugly wall. Why is Defy fucking over this great group of people? Especially now that Elyse has left I'm worried for the creative future of GT.

Kyle really glossed over the shortcomings of that Direct. Cloud was a great moment, and Pokémon RBY is nice (but is also emulating extremely old Game Boy games, finally with Link Cable support), but there was a lot missing. If Kyle thinks this is them getting their mojo back, that's a low goalpost.

Sad to see another GT person have to leave.

Two other thoughts on the Brawl/Smash 4 trailer thing: 1. One of my favorite pieces of trivia is that Snake's box can be seen before the initial end of the trailer, in the background of the Battlefield stage. 2. Mega Man was a surprise, because up until that point he was dead. The only life left in him was a terrible mobile game, and Inafune working on the spiritual successor Mighty No. 9. So for him to show up, looking polished and totally faithful in Smash 4 was incredible and heartwarming, especially for a Mega Man fan. Smash 4 had shown more love for Mega Man than Capcom by themselves had in half a decade.

Mario Tennis and Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival.

AC scored worse overall than Mario Tennis as far as I know.

It'll be a good day when we eventually are just recording in a dank basement with a gamecube and a picture of Iwata on the wall.

Kyle Bosman's Nintendo bunker? That would be a huge step up.

That stuff still exists (well I think the rocket was thrown out). The curtain was set up in the room. Kyle is the only one making his backdrops ugly.

What? Elyse is leaving? Damn that's sad :(

Will she join another group?

Had no expectation he could make me understand "Doc Brown Spider Monster", but now I think it needs to be something everyone knows and says. It just works! Can't say anything besides the Cloud part is exciting, but its another good sign for Nintendo (not just because of general Smash hype, but the implication that FF7 remake could come to NX too).

How can Elyse be leaving :(

Anyways I don't think Kyle really got his point across this episode... Nintendo got their mojo back because of DLC, ports and remakes? I don't buy that.

very sad to see elyse go! the turtle doves always rocked the show! i bet ian will follow! those guys are way to creative for defy! GT going through some rough times man!

Not to be a downer, but you're right. Wasn't until I went back to check something that the meaning of this shot hit me:

phuu, tell me about it... :(
i'm following GT since the very beginning, but this really is their face on the floor...
well, lets be positive and hope for the best!

GT FOREVER

Wait...that's their office now? It looks like a mildly large bedroom

Brad said that there's no window in that room. I can't see how anybody working an office job in with that lighting, that space and NO FUCKING WINDOWS, could stick around for long.

I'm sure that Elyse got a better offer and her leaving and the move don't mean anything. Even if Defy is more than happy with their popularity, they should be concerned about making everyone comfortable while are working for them, or they will see them leaving that company one by one...

Also I'm sure Kyle's background is a cry of help.

Yeah, that's not looking so good. I could only assume that Defy Media moved Game Trailers out of their old building to make more room for Screen Junkies. They're going through a lot of expansion right now with Screen Junkies Plus.

Apparently the new building is actually better tho

Does anyone know the story on this? I can't really find anything.

shudder

ˈʃʌdə/

verb

1.

(of a person) tremble convulsively, typically as a result of fear or revulsion.

"she still shuddered at the thought of him"

Maybe I meant to close the shutters on my windows to block out the sun, so I can wallow in despair. Yeah... that's what I meant.

GT really is dying, huh...
Well this is bumming me out.

*Watches E3 reaction videos on repeat.*
It's such a weird situation. I feel like GT/Defy totally failed to capitalise on their E3 boost. That should have been a turning point for them.

I watched the episode this morning and couldn't help thinking that GT ain't going to be around much longer. Apparently everyone else noticed this too :(

I also noticed that Elyse is the only female on the team and... welp

Since they started putting their vids on YouTube same day as their main site, I've been watching almost everything (with ads). I don't want GT to go away.

I'm going to miss Elyse on GT. She's by far my favorite female personality in the gaming industry. Genuine, funny and a great moderator. RIP Mandatory Update.
