That isn't the point. Yes the game can be imported but as far as the other side is concerned the more inconvenient it is for one to obtain these games the better.
Other side of what, exactly

That's the funny thing, people are getting upset at imagined slights and literally manufactured controversy
Very smart play by Play-Asia. Getting a certain group of people who hate "what SJWs are doing to games!" and showing them they aren't afraid of "telling the truth". Gaining tons of pre-orders and sympathy on the way.
More like Koei looked at projected sales here in the West, shrugged, and moved on. Releasing games internationally is expensive so they must have thought it wasn't worth it from a business perspective. At the end of the day, if anyone here really is offended over the game because of the projection of women, they're not really going to stop the game from coming out even if Koei decided to.
They also probably don't realize they're being suckered either since Play-Asia is more expensive than places like AmiAmi.
No. No one is even being "rustled", because there is no movement to squelch the proliferation of this game. Seriously. Like, none. No one is trying to deny this game's right to exist. There is nothing to actually discuss.Lol people so offended thanks to a tweet. ITT everyone gets their jimmies rustled because bikinis are demeaning!!!
Yup. It's 100% fake, but people will roll with it anyway since it fits their narrative of evil random people on the internet trying to take their games away via some underhanded means that no one has ever been able to explain or prove the existence of.That's the funny thing, people are getting upset at imagined slights and literally manufactured controversy

You can't be this dense. You clearly do not understand trigger warnings at all. Of course no one expects you to ask every person you meet if they have triggers and then be forced to act accordingly, but there are certain kinds of situations where you could NOT be a total dickwad in and take into account that not everyone can suppress their traumas so well that they aren't affected by discussions/imagery/etc. that touch the subject. It requires very little effort from someone, say, holding a public presentation to have a disclaimer where it warns about some potentially disturbing subjects being discussed or imagery being shown, yet it can save someone from being "triggered". It takes literally, like, 5 seconds to write a short disclaimer "warning: this disturbing subject will be discussed here" into a power point or something. It doesn't make someone a horrible person if they don't know to give trigger warnings, but if you think that you can take into account some people with traumas with a trigger warning, then I'm not sure why you wouldn't.
You can acknowledge beforehand that subjects like war & rape are traumatic and you should try to handle discussing them with some delicacy, no matter what the situation.
Scumbag devs helping scumbag devs.

Thank you. It's like that Atheist meme hijacked by...SJW was an academic/activist in-group term for the type of annoying, lacking-in-perspective person who flips out about minor stuff and picks fights with everyone else they should be working together with over minor doctrinal differences. It's really only in the last year or so that it's been so thoroughly repurposed to refer to anyone who isn't actively in favor of racism/sexism/etc.
Who are these people that are upset about DOAX3? Be as specific as possible.
Yes it does. I mean, I prefer to call them ignorant jackass fools. They certainly need a name. If only to laugh at their attempts to get mad at marijuana legalization not fiiting exactly their regulations. Haha.No it doesn't.
Fixed for accuracy, IMO...
I'd be very surprised if Tecmo was afraid of bad press. Exept maybe for Marie Rose, there's nothing in that game they haven't done before or that would cause some kind of huge scandal.
The outrage over pure fanservice gmaes isn't even all that strong.
Nope. Honest question/opinion.![]()
Please don't insult the innocence and angelic purity of Nyotengu by calling a game that she is in evil and harmful thank you.
And conservatives, am I right?
I know what it is. And I still disagree. I don't think every person should provide a warning before they say something offensive.
I don't believe you.
But to answer your question: common sense and empathy decide.
I'd just like to point out they got an extra like, 1500 followers from this? They went from below 10K to over 11K in just the few hours.
Anyway, I hope people don't start losing sleep over Twitter.
What a misguided post. Rapelay predates this whole internet tribal warfare and no one is criticising Play-Asia for not carrying DOAX3, because they specifically do have it on sale and have been the primary source for preorders here on NeoGAF. Nor is comparing DOAX3 to Rapelay in any way reasonable seeing as the localisation of the latter for the West would likely violate various obscenity regulations, whereas DOAX3 is just an innocuous fanservice game about girls frolicking about in bikinis.
Eh? Very few if any people in this thread have been like that. A couple of people have maybe said something like "and nothing of importance was lost" to the information about DOAX3 not being brought over, but that's just their sentiment over the game and its fate, not them wanting to prevent everyone from playing the game.End all be all is that people who don't like these games honestly don't want them to come out in the West regardless of the fact that there are other people that do want them.
"I don't like them so I don't want you to have them."
Such a childish attitude to have yet it is present throughout this thread.
So, has there been anything that happened in your life that you'd rather not talk about?
And thus irrelevant to a game that's not. It's all I'm arguing, admittedly through the absurd example of Rapelay, which has the benefit of being unarguably evil and not appropriate for sale.
No one is trying to deny this game's right to exist.
So you don't understand trigger warnings either? So you think there was no common sense back in 1980's when Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor were offending homosexuals and not putting trigger warning for them?
I don't understand why you are acting like trigger warnings are a threat to free speech then. It's a courtesy people use who are sympathetic to other's problems, no one is forcing you to do anything.
And thus irrelevant to a game that's not.
That I'd rather not talk about? Sure. We all do. I, for one, am Jewish and hear Jewish jokes all the time. My grandmother escaped the Holocaust. That doesn't mean no one should make Holocaust jokes. It may offend me sometimes, but that doesn't mean they HAVE to change what they say. I think it's more effective that I just learn to deal with the jokes better. And I have. I roll with them.
A bit more personal, but my dad died a very traumatic death for me. My friends occasionally made jokes about it after it happened. Some of them were very offensive, but I know them and they did to make light of the situation to help me cope with it. And it eventually did just that. Knowing my dad, I think he would've found the jokes funny anyway even if I didn't at the time.
you won't find asia releases on amiami.
lolI would argue it is. DOAX3, if previous games in the series are any indication, is garbage for idiots, bad as games and as cultural items depicting women. They're terrible, and people defending them likely aren't any better.
Well, you're proving the point some of us are making.I would argue it is. DOAX3, if previous games in the series are any indication, is garbage for idiots, bad as games and as cultural items depicting women. They're terrible, and people defending them likely aren't any better.

Also why are their so many different limited editions?!

Asking the real questions here: what's the food in the pic? Looks yummy
Sorry if it was answered during the thread, couldn't find it

So you think this is all just some ruse then?

Which is quite funny, because I know plenty of women that enjoy DOAX. Even more so than guys. Which I have heard reinforced a lot as well.

This makes me sad. It feels like you're just letting people walk all over you and your resolve for that is "free speech and thick skin", despite the fact that it obviously effects you enough to remember it.
You know, we could also live in a world where people don't make Jewish jokes or make jokes about your father's death. Why does it have to go their way?
I'm real tired of people using 'free speech' and 'honesty' to excuse asshat behaviour. Being considerate for other people is not trampling your human rights, it's basic human decency.
Yeah, I wish there was a AAA game in the style of DOOM/Dead space with sexy female lead instead of sexy bulky manmeat. If only to understand Konami.Lol people so offended thanks to a tweet. ITT everyone gets their jimmies rustled because bikinis are demeaning!!!
In the meantime, give me more gore, violence and dismemberment yeahhhhh cause women sexuality has no place in America, thats what we fight the good fight for (dreailed a bit)

As far as games go, it's an art form, and having art that caters to whoever is not a bad thing.
I'm sure you don't go around burning paintings because they feature nips and dicks from the 1800s so why do that with games?
