Captain America: Civil War Trailer #1 Debut

I don't really mind them taking certain franchises. They do a good job.

It's not? I thought the 2nd one started where the first left off. Because the ending seems to be the only thing that survived the Ang Lee movie.

nope. Ang Lee's hulk isn't canon. The origins for hulk are even different. "incredible hulk's" origins are tied to the WW2 super soldier program that created captain america. Ang Lee's Hulk wasn't.

The Incredible Hulk retconned Ang Lee's Hulk out of existence in the first 2 minutes of the movie. The opening credits montage shows an entirely different and incompatible origin.

Then later in the movie, the exchange between Gen. Ross and Blonsky about the super soldier program reinforces this.

In Ang Lee's Hulk didn't they lie to Banner and tell him that they were doing some radiation test bullshit or something when in reality they were actually trying to make the super soldier serum and that combined with his dad's weird experiments caused him to become the Hulk? That explanation makes no sense but I think that's what they went with.

from wikipedia:

Scientist David Banner introduces the idea of creating super soldiers by introducing modified DNA sequences extracted from various animals to strengthen the human cellular response, making them effectively impervious to any weaponized agent, but General Thaddeus Ross denies him permission to use human subjects. Banner subsequently conducts the experiments on himself. After the birth of his son Bruce, he finds that his son may have inherited the effects and seeks a cure, but is stopped in the process. Bruce remembers nothing of the incident after a traumatic event, and has been raised by the Krenzlers. Years later, Bruce is a geneticist working with his ex-girlfriend Betty Ross, within the Berkeley Biotechnology Institute on nanomed research. The pair hope to achieve instantenous cell repair by using low level Gamma radiation exposure to activate the nanomeds once they are introduced into a living organism. During routine maintenance of their appropriated Gammaspectrometer, a circuit shorts and triggers the experiment's program sequence. Unable to prevent the machine from firing, Bruce throws himself in front of his colleague to shield him and is exposed to incredibly toxic levels of Gamma.

nope. this is absolutely nothing like the incredible hulk origin.

I guess they're finally getting to put this Zemo look to good use:

I'm definitely worried that Zemo will be getting the Strucker treatment - a generic HYDRA baddie with way too little screentime. They specified multiple times that he doesn't really resemble the comic incarnation.

Seriously, just the logistics of them having so many moving parts to the Marvel Cinematic Universe impresses the hell out of me. The movies are great. The television shows really deepen the universe.

I am loving it.

Awesome trailer. Winter was the biggest surprise of that year, movie wise for me.

Still wish they got Toby back for spiderman, imagine the crowd reactions during that lol.

Bucky's incredibly white teeth are frightening me a bit. Comon guys, at least a chipped tooth, he's supposed to be a damn supersoldier who fought a trillion shadow wars

Tobey is probably older than Downey and SLJ at this point (hyperbole). I love the guy but I think Marvel/Sony made the right call by going with a teenager and not a 20-something.

I would like to point out, that the opening credits montage from Incredible Hulk was not part of the script. It was made by different people:
http://www.artofthetitle.com/title/the-incredible-hulk/

Of course it went on screen, was probably accepted by all important people involved, etc, so it is canon.
But IIRC the last time I saw the movie, I think the montage even contradicted something, that was said in the movie itself, but I can not remember what exactly. Have to watch it again.

If it were not for the montage, could both Hulk movies fit together?

The music in the trailer is excellent. Is Jackman coming back?
Yes, he was confirmed months ago, actually over a year ago: http://filmmusicreporter.com/2014/08/26/henry-jackman-to-return-for-marvels-captain-america-3/

Is this Jackman dude did the music in this part?

Because this was the trailer that convinced me to see TWS on day 1.

No, probably not. He wrote the music, that you hear up to that point in the scenes taken from the movie. Music for trailers is usually composed by different people, or just taken from somewhere else.

Because Hollywood is stupid and for some reason believes we need to see actors faces as much as possible. Pete Travis (Dredd) and Nolan (TDKR with Bane) seem to be the only directors who realize we don't

You realize A: No one watched Dredd and B: Tons of people hated Bane's mask.

Betty needs some attention again. Just so she can bitchslap Widow.

Betty Ross alternates between being a useless skin sack and being a terrible human being.

Still no, because the gamma experiments are completely different.

In Ang Lee's Hulk, Bruce and Betty are doing an experiment involving their research on gamma radiation and cellular repair. Something goes wrong with the machinery and Bruce jumps in front of another scientist to shield him from radiation.

In The Incredible Hulk, even if we remove the opening montage, it's still explained in a later scene that Bruce thought he was working on radiation resistance. Nothing went wrong with any of the machinery. He was just so confident in his work that he tested it on himself.

I would also count it as a contradiction that Bruce only transforms into Hulk in Ang Lee's movie because his DNA is special. In The Incredible Hulk, Bruce's DNA is probably not special since Blonsky also transforms into a monster. The gamma formula used to transform both is just a failed attempt to recreate the super soldier serum.

Also, to remove all doubt, Glenn Talbot died in Hulk, but is alive and well in the MCU.

So long as the films at least offhandedly MENTION Betty, I'll be pleased. My favorite MCU love interest. Slightly annoyed how she seemed to just disappear from the universe.

A: You cant blame the fact that Karl Urban didn't take off the mask as the reason no one saw the movie, that was mainly down to the reputation damage the Stallone film caused and the terrible promotion campaign they did for the new one.

B: I have never heard anyone say they hated the mask, offline or online. The only problem people had was Bane being hard to hear originally but otherwise people seemed to like the mask.

Everything Hans Zimmer has done since The Last Samurai has been a cheap Hans Zimmer ripoff.

Except for Dead Man's Chest, which was an expensive Klaus Badelt ripoff.

It's what stung with me in Age of Ultron; Banner's interest in Black Widow. From what I recall, it's Betty for and Betty after. Hell, seeing Betty get hurt is a trigger for exploding into Hulkrage. What happened with them that he no longer cares?

He saw BW's ass what happened

I also really want Marvel to address what happened with Betty. Really annoying how she just disappeared, and honestly, I also find it annoying how Pepper have also gone to disappear out of the blue.
