What does this variant cover mean?
SCWARS2015007-DC41-3e2da.jpg

It means the pheonix can never die! Cyke was right!

Really, it probably means nothing at all.

My biggest problem with #7 was that I didn't see how a single issue could solve cleanly all the shit that's left. Then I realized there are two issues left.

Another great issue with epic moments.
(very light spoilers on books seguing into each other.
Much like with Siege last time, Thors complements this issue. I don't think there's a preferred reading order.

Also, this week's Ultimates kind of spoils the ending to the series.

Secret Wars 7 has my favorite second page of any comic ever.

"It's me, you idiots. MAXIMUS!"

and man it was over so quick! Everything was good, but it was all little bites. I wish I could see an entire issue of the two Reeds talking, or an issue of just Namor and T'Challa walking and talking.

Yea 7 felt super rushed and it was all setup.
Wasn't this the issue that was originally meant to be oversized then split into two? It did feel really short but loved the set up. Nice to see a pay off of the King of the Dead stuff from Hickman's FF run.

Where are you guys getting 7? I checked the app and there's nothing there.
Wasn't showing up in the app either so I just bought it off the Comixology site.

It's finally up on the Marvel app.

I need the next chapter right fucking now. I need to inject it into my veins, I need more. Shit is so fucking real now.

That was the highlight of the issue for me as well. Felt a bit meta.
Of course it's him, it would be awful if it wasn't.

Why the hell didn't they say this was set after Thors? :(

Issue ended really quickly too, enjoyed it like I always do though

Also, the
zombies
scene at the end was weird. Tone changed from serious to jokey.

It does kind of fit with how the
Marvel Zombies
usually are, and it was hilarious.

My question:
Is that really how Maximus goes down in this event? Seemed anticlimactic to me.

I'd be surprised.

Also, Thors has confused the fuck out of me.

End spoiler:

How did the hammer/axe rip through dimensions into Asgard 616?

Haven't read the AoA one, but what happened in SW7 definitely clashed with the events portrayed in Future Imperfect.

There's a time jump. The hammer somehow survived the events of secret wars and makes its way through when the "new" universe is created.

Old man Logan and weird world did the same thing, sorta- accelerating the plot through the unseen series climax.

We're...not getting #9 before Christmas are we? :(

Was hoping to have a collection of Marvel comics to read on a train journey up to my girlfriend's place on Christmas Eve. I've been buying but not reading the new series until I've actually finished Secret Wars.
