Kid Buu? Who in the group of Z fighters is anywhere near that level at this point? (that were shown fighting Togama). Gohan was the only one above that and he stopped training.
Hated this episode, hope you guys can clarify some things (maybe the subs were bad):
The fuck Krillin...why is he so scared and why was everyone else so scared? Freeza himself said that pretty much all soldiers were C-tier or something like that. Also, aren't they all able to sense the powerlevels of those scrubs? How much weaker did Krillin get? I understand he is scared of Freeza, but those soldiers were shit and they all know...I really didn't get the 'Krillin must find his courage' part. Wasn't in the movie iirc and it was just a total waste of time. With all the shit Krillin has seen, the enemies he fought up to this point and all his training (even if he stopped fighting)...gtfo. If you aren't sure you're stronger than all those C-level soldiers and need a speech from Roshi....just stfu and stay home cry baby (why the fuck did he cry?). Send your wife next time.
Gohan, Jesus Christ. Just stop it Toriyama, it feels like he is doing it on purpose to hurt us Gohan fans. (unless it was different in the manga). First of all, how could such a blast just go right through him? Shouldn't his body be able just to shrug it off like nothing at this point? Even if he did not train, he should be able to wipe out that entire army in 5 seconds. ''He let his guard down'', what does that even mean? What is this guard and how do you put it up or lower it? And why would it be down at that very moment, with hundreds of enemies around, one of which is hugging you (who is to say he won't blow himself up?). This was just so stupid and annoying. ''I'm not a kid anymore, won't need your help'' *both smile* *gets fucked* ughhh
Not really a problem with this one, but I was just wondering: why don't Goku and Vegeta just fight Beerus together if he is awake? Wouldn't that be a better training?
One thing I don't understand is how Goku thinks he isn't a match for Beerus yet.
They were so close to being on par during their fight and he's been training for months now.

Yep. Just look at when they fire both of their attacks at each other and they combine into a universe-busting ki ball: that was Goku going all out, Beerus matching him, and then still being in control of the whole thing.Beerus wasn't giving it his all
People should stop using old power level scale for this series.
Clearly new power level is garbage and one trick pony but it is what it is.
My memory's foggy on this. How many fights have there been in Dragon Ball where someone overcomes a power level deficit because he's just the better, savvier fighter?
I can't seem to remember many. Piccolo vs. Frieza comes to mind.

Plus Toriyama said if SSG Goku was a 6, Beerus was a 10 and Whis a 15.

Goku pretty much all the time. in fact, almost every big bad final fight.

Gohan I understand that you have a child but use your fucking brain man! If you know that there are threats in the galaxy that can threaten your daughter's peace and well being, why don't you start taking your training seriously and get out the books so when there is an impending threat looming, something more powerful than Frieza, then you can combat it and not have to wait for Goku or Vegeta!? What happens when they're not around? Toriyama get your writing together! You would think Gohan would've learned for the Buu and his overly laxed behavior then... Nope.
Krillin used that move he only used once ever
Piccolo vs Frieza?
Also i guess Vegeta and Goku vs Cell, compared to Trunks
Piccolo seemed to have a clear disadvantage in power level vs Frieza(first transformation) and was still getting the upper hand for the most part by being smarter/slicker. At least that's how I'm remembering it. lol

The oddest thing is that you can see that the script writers know that when you look at Gohan's lines, like how he previously mentioned he'd try to do his part to protect the planet and now his lines about having a family and protecting them, but yet there's a disconnect between those lines and the overall direction of his character (which is tied to Toriyama's guideline).
Really, the root of all this is Toriyama wanting to avoid heavier character stuff in his new work. An hero who dislikes fighting but does it to protect others seems like it goes against the direction that Toriyama wants for the franchise now, where the protagonists all enjoy fighting, with protecting the world as a secondary matter.
so is this the first time piccolo used the healing ability?

Good episode.
Loved that Frieza singled out Krillin of all the fighters. Pretty evil. And, it was really cool to see the old attacks appear. Kamehameha Wave, Special beam cannon, and Tri-Beam. Krillin's attack was pretty cool too. Only thing I didn't like was explanation for Buu not being there. That was kind of stupid.
Haven't read the thread since my last post but is there an explanation for the title of the next episode? I haven't see the movie. Something about Ginyuu?
Are you referring what he did to Gohan? I don't think that was healing in that sense. Gohan's heart stopped and Piccolo restarted it with some kind of blast. Senzu bean healed him.
To me it looked like he just acted as a defribulator.Oh I thought Piccolo was using the same ability Dende used on namek.
I loved this episode. Tagoma getting a boost has been awesome. RoF was bad because there was only one threat and that was Freeza. Once Goku and Vegeta arrived, all tension evaporated. I'm actually feeling the tension right now with Tagoma being a threat.
Gives the Zfighters something to do besides beating up on 1000 lowlevel goons that they could all probably beat by themselves. Makes Tagoma an awesome new character (seriously, best new villian in a long time) and gives some legitimate tension to the whole affair. I'm actually more pissed Ginyu is coming back instead of letting tagoma be the new bad. I like it much more as is.
Ginyu's personality isn't as menacing as a Freeza minion that actually is serious and a legitimate threat. Oh well.
I welcome the power and threat of Tagoma, but I can't exactly say he's particularly awesome or likable. He learned some evil traits from Frieza. Not all that exciting to me.
Finally caught up. I think Gohan just needs to realize his precious baby girl is gonna be in danger if he doesn't shape up. Grandpa can cover her butt only so long. In the opening of Super, we can see Mystic Gohan so maybe something triggers the reaction from Gohan to get his butt back into shape. Anyways strongest Z fighter atm is down, how will the Z fighters come back from this? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Super!
