I got the game early!

Add me to the list that found the Xenoblade cast pretty standard. I really didn't like any of the characters. I would rather have a game featuring Allen Ridgeley, Helmer and Juli Mizrahi than anyone from blade.
Does GameStop ever start selling games early? lol

There's a ton of weapon slots you can change that effect how it looks.question not related to reviews (we probably don't need 4 xenoblade threads bumped) -
is there visual mech customization outside of colours and weapons? I know there's other equipment but I'm curious if there's little doodads and such that change when things are equipped.
I believe the POS system prevents anything with a street date from being sold early.
Very positive. I am not into JRPGs but I played some Xenoblade and I loved it.

Plus about half a dozen different mech designs.
And the color choices are pretty deep. You can even change the color of your energy.
There areI know all that already. Just curious if there were ways to add small elements outside of weapons, like for example different-looking boosters or head items. One of the first screenshots I ever saw of this game (with english text) the mech had a "Pile Bunker" and "Heat Horn" equipped. Since then all I can think about is how closely I can approximate Alteisen from Super Robot Wars.

nofunallowed.jpgThis is correct, I used to work there. If you try to sell something before street date a big warning comes up that basically says you're ass is fired if you sell that game.

After about 25 to 30 hours of solid work, Xenoblade Chronicles X finally becomes a video game. Before that point, the game exists not to be enjoyed but to rhythmically clobber you into a biomass able to be sculpted into someone capable of playing the remainder of Xenoblade Chronicles X.
If you're a standard model human being and not the reconstructed homunculus the game's crushing crucible eventually turns its players into, you'll probably forget one or two things along the way
Before you know it, you're delivering frozen pizza to a race of lizard people who sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks.
Is this the part of the review thread where we act like Metacritic is the devil for some weighing that doesn't really move the average much in the first place?

In Italy they break the street date if the company decides to, they did it with Smash Bros for 3DS and other games, don't know if that's the case for other countries. Xenoblade is a niche game so chances are very very small. This is correct, I used to work there. Those are for the physical version. The Digital includes them already.
Only for the Disc Version, you don't need them if you go digital.
The eShop page tells you over and over that this is only for the disc version and entirely useless if you got the eShop version.![]()
There is something oddly satisfying about being destroyed by a high level enemy early in the game, just to go back later and curb stomp it into oblivion.C'mon this is like half the fun.

Oh man, I can't wait to get into some mech customization. We gotta play some multiplayer together, mupod. I'll still get all the good loot, though. ;P
It's kind of limited but with some imagination you can accomplish some weird characters, like that one vid where someone created Beast from X-MenHow is the character creator? Is it possible to make some really freakish characters.

If Marvel's not gonna put the X-Men in anymore games, I guess someone has to.It's kind of limited but with some imagination you can accomplish some weird characters, like that one vid where someone created Beast from X-Men

Lancing your Skell through crowds of aliens to what sounds like an episode of Kill la Kill never gets old.

Why only some and not all the way to the end if you loved it? =(

Meanwhile Amazon is still saying it's expected to ship on the 4th
Why you gotta do me dirty like this Amazon?!
Maaaaan, Thursday night is gonna be great. I'll watch The Game Awards while I download this game, and then I'll just play until the wee hours of the morn since it's work from home Fridays around these parts.
Don't tempt me to buy a Wii U![]()
From a personal financial perspective, I'm glad to see these reviews are above average overall rather than great across the board. This one might have been the tipping point for me to get a Wii U.
Don't tempt me to buy a Wii U![]()
Buy X, buy Tropical Freeze, buy Mario 3DW/ or Maker/ or New U, buy Splatoon, buy Smash
and never go outside again. There's plenty of compelling reasons to have a WiiU by now. There's other good games outside of those, but those ~5 are enough for any one console to make a purchase on.
