Was that "fragment" that Robert Cogburn said a reference to Schaefer's line ("... have possessed only a fragment of the ...")????? If so, waht could that mean?????
How do you get in on this? Is there only one way and through the Collection??
Someone said you need PSN+ yesterday but was this confirmed on stream today? It would really suck as I have no need for plus right now.
They didn't say so but in the game's case the card that talks about the MP beta says you need PS+.
And I assume trials don't work if you've already paid for plus at some point? I'm not going to pay for a month just for this, unless a good game is free that month as well.

If COD killstreaks had the same money abstraction being used, I'd consider the killstreaks there an in-game digital store too, and I'd be just as hesitant about what that would portend. But it's not an in game store.. It has as much interaction as calling in a killstreak in a CoD game (pressing the directional buttons)

? You can use a fragment of the cintimani stone as one of the supernatural power ups.
Go to 00:43:41 in this archive of the stream and listen to the way he says the word "fragment":

Yep, pretty much this. Both have different art styles and we have yet to see UC4 MP in good quality, so I'll wait until the game releases to judge which one looks better (not playing on the beta). But for now, I think Battlefront has the upper hand, but UC4 MP is quite close IMO.I don't know which game looks better, BF is really going for a different look, more realistic while U4 is more cartoony, but even if we somehow agree that BF looks better and is more impressive, U4 is the second best looking 60 fps Multi game I've seen so I don't know how can you be disappointed, it looks great!
Just imagine how single player is going to look if multi is looking this good.
You literally answered your own question.
You are looking WAY too deep into this, man.
But does it mean this game will be more like Uncharted 2 than 3????
Not sure why but I've never been big on Uncharted's multiplayer, and this one is no exception. I just can't get excited about it, can't put my finger on why. I am of course really eager to dig into the single player, but I'll probably try this mode once and then never touch it again.
So exactly why is the in-game store an issue? It's not tied to microtransactions. If COD killstreaks had the same money abstraction being used, I'd consider the killstreaks there an in-game digital store too, and I'd be just as hesitant about what that would portend.
What immediately stands out in the stream's gameplay footage is how everything is about money. You acquire money by taking down other players and collecting artifacts and helping your team. You spend the money via a quick in-game menu to acquire upgrades.
Its shopping, with guns, and you'll interact with that store on a very regular basis, as you do in many big games these days. Now that isn't a big problem on its own really, if the game didn't also include microtransactions, which was my initial thought when I saw the dollar signs everywhere.
Uncharted 4 multiplayer will have microtransactions via Naughty Dog bucks, at launch, that will unlock various weapons, tools, and upgrades, (that you can unlock entirely through play as well, to be sure) and the coming beta will provide ND with data to fine tune those grinds while preserving the incentives to buy. ND is being very upfront here and I appreciate that. But I really don't like this idea of getting players used to shopping as part of the core gameplay loop and then attaching real-currency monetization hooks on to that. They'll use their imbalanced PvP competition as the emotional impetus to encourage you to open your wallet to spend more, and use that money to support continued development post-launch.
Don't let me kill your buzz if you enjoy that kind of thing, or could care less one way or the other. Its just not for me, and now I know it for sure.

i'm not digging the sidekick shit.

key word is i'm not digging it. not everyone's gonna agree on everything.Hey, Titanfall has bunch of npcs running around for you to shoot and people don't have any problem with that

Newsflash: Eric Monacelli is totally ignorant when it comes to ND MP gameplay mechanics, so take what he says with a HUGE grain of salt. He doesn't even work at ND anymore.
Because, everything that makes Uncharted good is not there when it's made into a multiplayer mode.
No characters, no amazing graphics, no set pieces, no story.
I even enjoyed Uncharted 2 MP, but I don't understand it's existence.
I just love the way the guns handle and how much more weighty everything looks
Sorry for shit quality gifs, You can't see the reticle in the gifs but I love how it tracks every shot.

The quote I posted above speaks to microtransactions to unlock weapons, tools, and upgrades, though ND has promised that nothing will be strictly locked behind a paywall. That's still more than cosmetics though. But you're not going to be using the microtransactions while in game. If you noticed, the microtransactions are only to buy the specific outfits and customization items you want from the store, which I believe will also include camos for weapons in the full release. The only other way to get this stuff is by getting relic points and buying that chest that gives you random items.
