Batman v Superman - New Official Trailer

Damn. This trailer killed my hype. I don't care about Wonder Woman and I definitely don't care about Doomsday or Zod. I guess I should focus my hype on the standalone Bat flick after this one.

I feel the same but it does have me much more excited for Batman solo. I like everything they are doing with him so far in the DCCU, everything Batman- related in this trailer works pretty good for me.

Which is funny, because the Civil War trailer makes it look like a DC movie :p

This trailer actually has me more interested in the movie than I've been since it's been announced. Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman is a great choice I think.

I wonder how many people will also complain at Civil War when (CHARACTER SPOILER)
Baron Zemo
shows up in a trailer, because its going to be the same thing as here.

Can't get over how generic that CGI monster looks.

Feel like we've seen so many end-of-movie monsters that look exactly like that.

Pretty meh trailer. Honestly didn't expect Doomsday to show up, but it will be interesting to see how he's put down. More hyped for Civil War so far

Man. Now I wish they'd cast Eisenberg as Joker and Leto as Lex. Lex should be charismatic, intelligent, fit - humanity at its full potential- angry at Supes for creating a role model that humans can never possibly hope to match.

Is it weird to say the trailer was cut poorly but still made me more excited for the movie? The character material worked well for me but I agree that it didn't flow super well.

I mean, it's just an ad ultimately but the DC trailers tend to be pretty great.

That trailer wasn't very good. The weird thing is that, regardless of the quality of the movie, Snyder usually has pretty awesome trailers.

I'm also over the 2-3 minute summary of the movie style trailers. Batman and Superman teaming up was a no brainier, but Doomsday was a surprise for me. I guess because I haven't been following the movie. Also, the Wonder Woman reveal, while awesome, confirmed in a way what I feared about her: she isn't going to be in the movie in a significant way prior to the final conflict.

I seriously doubt I'll see this in the theater. Maybe I'll rent it when it hits Amazon. That's not even a knock against the movie. I don't see that many films in the theater because it gets too expensive between me and my wife (we saw SPECTRE last weekend, and it was a $50 affair just from the theater, let alone dinner and drinks afterwards). I didn't get to see the latest Mission Impossible movie in the theaters, and I was pretty interested in that one, so I'll be renting that one as well.

That trailer was all over the place with the editing, and the musical score felt like something you'd find in Microsoft Movie Maker.

Not feeling Eisenberg's Luthor at all.

This trailer is proof that Marvel is a lot smarter when it comes to its film franchises. I essentially just watched the entire movie. Batman VS. Superman? Who cares? The trailer showed me that they overcome their differences to become pals by the end to fight the real enemies Donatello and the Riddler.

The criminals branded with bat symbols is weird, and seems out of character for Batman. Considering we also got that shot of the Robin costume and we know the Joker is out there, what are the odds that they're setting up a Red Hood storyline and it's Jason framing Batman or something along those lines with the brands?

I don't know that the sight of a plainclothes Daniel Bruhl is really the same thing :lol

And you thought it was gonna be different in Civil war?

My guess? Lex is staging fake Batman "attacks" to rile up Superman.

Then people would be complaining even more. Doomsday likely evolves during the fight like he does in the comic. All people seem to remember is the image of him from the end of the fight but he doesn't look like that for the majority of the fight if I'm remembering correctly.
Dunno. Can't remember. I'll have to dig through my comic book collection and see. Been forever since I have.
Looking through my comic, the first time Doomsday's face is revealed, the bones are already there. So yeah, Snyder needs to add that bone beard ASAP, and fix the overall look of the face. Too much Ninja Power in that Turtle.

Decent until Einsberg as Lex came out, what a horrible miscast it's like watching a bad 90s anime dub only live action.

Well, he's technically not miscast. They are going for an annoying psycho supergenius who is socially awkward and talks fast. Jesse is your guy.

The horrible thing is that they imagined Lex that way.

LOL, not true. AVATAR wasn't even the most expensive film ever made when it released. Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides had a production budget north of $370 million.

John Carter cost more than Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Disney has, understandably, never made these numbers known but it's true.

The only other thing I can think of is that they are literal demons from Hades.

Parademons make the most sense I think if this leads us to Justice League. It looks like they're there at the same time desert Batman is there. I think that's less of a dream and more of a vision given to someone. No way should Batman be dreaming about parademons. Maybe showing what will happen and it's a world where it looks an evil Superman has his own army and perhaps an army of parademons at his command. That's something that's happen in the comics and cartoons with Darkseid having Superman under his control (different ways).

Baron Zemo

Because his presence in the movie has been known for months....I think there'll be little complaints.

A more apt comparison would be if
Red Hulk
shows up in the trailer and then cuts to a shot of every Avenger standing at the ready, eating shawarma.

I don't feel the trailer. :(

Also feels like that I am not supposed to see the movie now that I have seen everything. Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman will just do a nice combo and kill Doomsday.

Awh hell... :(

My point is that the Civil War trailer showed enough to make me interested and didn't reveal the entire plot-line.

Civil War has had 1 trailer. This is trailer 3 for Batman v Superman. If you think the 2nd and 3rd trailer for Civil War won't show a LOT more then that's crazy. Look at at the Age of Ultron trailers. Look at the Iron Man 3 trailers. Hell look at the Winter Solider and Guardians of the Galaxy trailers. They show a LOT of those films and also provide the structure of how those films are plotted from all the acts of the film. That didn't ruin those films and there was still a LOT left to enjoy.

Should be created by Bill Finger only as far as I'm concerned.

Bob Kane is a fucking back stabbing con man. His name should be purged from everything considering he contributed absolutely nothing to the batman character aside from the name.

And he was a complete and utter prick.

He should be mentioned however he should not be mentioned first and in much smaller font.

Oh I agree but if you thought cap and ironman weren't gonna be friends again by the end of that movie I don't know what to tell you

There's no guarantee that happens at the end of Civil War.
Steve Rogers could die, Tony Stark becomes more of an egomaniac.
Even if we can get an idea from rumor and speculation, you don't make a damn trailer showing any of that so the masses get spoiled before going to the theater. This shit will be seen on TV, theater previews and the internet. WB fucked up.

I didn't feel like I watched the entire movie after watching the Winter Solider or GoTG trailers. (I don't remember the Iron Man 3 ones) One of the reasons why I tend to like DC movies is because they have strong villains but they look godawful in this. Lex Luthor is.. let's face it, TERRIBLY miscast and Doomsday's design is uninspiring.

Man Suicide Squad looks so much better than whatever this is. Course trailers can be deceiving, but this trailer just drains all the confidence out of me.
