The more I think about the Lex casting the more facepalms I perform. And I've known this for quite some time. What a colossal mistake. It's quite astonishing that he got the role.

Nah, he's an amazing actor and he's doing it well. What you're not a fan of is the direction WB has taken him in. (which was defined and then Jesse was brought in to do).

More I think about this trailer the more I hate it. Damn you for teasing Bats vs Supes, how they go toe to toe. Then they just throw it all away by releasing this trailer that spoils third act. All anger and fighting between them is gone just like that when Doomsday shows up. Well gotta have that huge showdown with big baddie in every comic book movie.

Amazing? Was he even recognized for the one role people know him from? Adams is the only person that qualifies as amazing in that cast. Two if you count Shannon slumming it as brooding CGi idiot.

Shannon is doing the MoCap for Doomsday?

I thought Doomsday leaked from the fact Shannon mentioned having claws

He's great in my book.

I also like Irons, Hunter, and Affleck.

Oh I think him and the others you mentioned are fine even above average but amazing is pushing it. I like Jesse fine and thinks he's a good match for what they are going for but he's never blown me away in anything.

I'd really dig that.

I can't find a good shot of it but there's a scene in MoS where Lois goes to Clark to tell him how to beat Zod. She got there by riding in a police car. The officer is just standing there next to the vehicle. She yells out "Clark!" while running towards him and he is in costume at the Kent farm standing next to Martha, No fucks given on the secret identity there.

It's kinda interesting how the two big superhero movies next year feature the most popular heroes fighting against each other (Iron Man vs. Captain America, and Batman vs. Superman). The trailers show the same sorta conflict.

The difference is that Iron Man and Captain America's relationship has been established over several movies. Batman vs. Superman has to do a lot of heavy lifting which might create problems in the movie.

But there's a difference.

Iron Man and Cap were friends first then become enemies in CW. Batman and Superman are at each other's throats first and apparently team up later.

Neat that you can see the building that got fucked up in MoS.

...Why did they make a memorial statue dedicated to the guy who was the entire reason aliens killed millions of people there?

Well one, awards don't mean he's not talented and two, yeah he was nominated for an Academy Award which is not a light thing by any means. Irons, Hunter (twice), Affleck have all won Oscars. Diane Lane was nomated for Academy Award and a Golden Globe and Fisburne was also nominated for an Academy Award.

Please try harder.

They don't think like forum peeps who can't see the bigger picture. Without Supes, the entire world would have perished.

The kryptonians were leveling earth to terraform it.

Superman stopped them.
...But without Supes and that archive his dad gave him, aliens wouldn't have been trying to kill the human race in the first place.

And it's not like the people of Earth are ignorant of this. Zod's first contact was asking them to hand him over.

Because the other 7 billion survivors were grateful?

We saw that there are a large amount of protesters against superman. Every human being on the planet with a tv is aware that the Kryptonians were there for that one guy.

Unless this is the last shot, how the fuck was the motion to build and dedicate money and manpower to a giant statue to the guy at ground zero passed?

Batman and Superman has always disliked each other in a lot of their "first meeting" stories.

Frankly, I think it's pretty neat that there's social disparity over whether or not Superman is a good guy or not.

I don't consider it a failure of the upcoming film to incorporate it. It's interesting.

And they know he gave into their demands and STILL decided to eradicate everything on the planet. You think Superman giving himself up was a secret? Of course people were bombarding the government asking what the status on the alien was. Just because they didn't explicitly show it doesn't mean the government was quiet about it. They threatened the whole damn planet. People would have a pretty serious motivation to get an answer.

Zod was going to kill everyone anyway, whether they gave Supes up or not. Still not seeing the problem.

Question is, does Batman have the same problem?

Sure looks like it from the trailers. But I'm thinking he's being manipulated by Lex or going through a mid life crisis. Maybe both.

The entire reason they actually came to Earth was because Superman and that Kryptonian archive thingy were there. Hell, the only reason they actually were terraforming Earth was because the archive could bring back the Kryptonian species.

Superman set off the beacon that brought them to earth

No one knows that. Except Clark because Zod specifically told him but that wasn't public information.

Yea let's not act like Eisenberg is some ass tier actor.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0251986/awards

Have you seen Eisenberg in interviews? He pretty much plays himself in the social network, and it shows here with his interpretation of Lex. By no means is he a shitty actor but his physical limitations prevent him from being an intimidating Lex, but if that's what the studio wanted it's on them. It's gonna be a hit and miss with a ton of people.

Bryan Cranston would of been the ultimate perfection for this role in my humble opinion. Since he has the range to be both intimidating and extremely charming while Eisenberg can only do the latter.

The only reason anybody ever names Cranston because he was an asshole bald guy on a show people liked. Hell most of the time the only fan casting for Lex were actors who were already bald. Billy Zane was a name I saw thrown around a lot. Billy fucking Zane.

Cranston is too old for what they were going for.

No one knows that. Except Clark because Zod specifically told him but that wasn't public information.
Good point.

It's still very odd to have Superman as the memorial statue though. I guess he probably helped in the whole rescue effort after the battle of Metropolis, so that improved his public image.

i'm so glad bryan cranston wasn't lex tbh, despite how strange this iteration of the character ended up being. i was just against him or mark strong for the part. sometimes you can be almost too safe with casting.

and also, have any of y'all even seen social network recently? how in the hell is this guy anything like zuckerberg?

zuckerberg was what I expected actually, this dude is a lot more talkative, confident and goofy.

this trailer reminds me, as much as i dont like most of his other work, i think snyder could make a beautiful Batwoman movie in the colorful, moody, and flashy style of J H Williams III's art on the books

I disagree, I've only seen one season of breaking bad and I didn't enjoy it. I mentioned Cranston because of his incredible talent. I agree with you that Billy fucking Zane would of been amazing. His voice is perfect for the role, but I do have my doubts that he could of had that Lex charm that the studio is looking for.

Naw, man. Cranston would be a good Lex Luthor Snr, but he is too old. Lex should always be around Supes' age, and that's what they're going for.

Besides, Cranston would make a much better Commissioner Gordon. Apparently he's not alive in the DCCU, but I would've loved to see Cranston and Affleck play off of each other.

Well, that's the problem. Cranston can play egotistical, better-than-everyone-else, intimidating to perfection, as well as being the charming businessman that people trust

Even though he was type casted he's a good fit. But that guy said he was "amazing." Like they're gonna be showing clips of Eisenberg in theater.

So? It was Zod's decision to terraform earth. Why do people try to blame Supes for Zod's decision?
How would people even know that? Those military meetings weren't open to the public. First time most people in Metropolis saw him, he was duking it out with Zod. Would they even know what Zod looks like? Would they be able to tell who is who?

Bryan Cranston was perfect because he showed that he could character development similiar to Luthor. From a genius corrupting into criminal, when he actually could use his intellect for good. Of course Luthor would've been a lot more genious thab Walt, but the principle is there.

Also he rocked being bald.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
If we're talking about dream casting a type of Lex Luthor that is obviously not in the movie: Denzel Washington, please.
