Fan Favorite PS2 Games Launching on PS4 Tomorrow

No upgrade path, no save states, and no VC like features?

Will wait for sales unless it's a super rare game or my computer can't handle it.

$15 is a total rip-off BUT I DON'T CARE

I bought Katamari Damacy back when it was on sale (remember?) because I thought there would be a day where I will play it on my PS4...damn it...

I didn't see any mention of PS3 owned PS2 classics, seems likely it'll be full repurchase for Twisted Metal Black for those who own it on PS3

Mark of Kri was also previously on PSN, I'm not paying again if they seriously decide to pull that crap.

This will never get a decent library, and I'll be forced to re-buy these games in 4 years. I'm so disappointed with PSN Classics and Nintendo's VC :/

maaaan $15? I'd get a very select few at that price.

I just bought Kri not that long ago on ps3 too.

Prices are too high and no upgrade path for people who've bought the Classics versions on the PS3. Trophies and 1080p are nice, but these are bad, bad decisions.

Agreed, especially in light of what MS is doing with 360 BC, this doesn't seem to be a very wise move by Sony.

Time to get to Twitter and start asking questions, boys.

It's not unwise either.

There's a nice inbetween they could reach, but right now the hardcore and the people who already bought these Classics aren't getting a decent deal.

What they should do is introduce an upgrade path and save states. They need to set themselves apart from the others.

The fact that no upgrade path exists for PS2 Classics on PS3 makes me very wary of purchasing any of these. When PS5 rolls around, am I going to be asked to pay full price again?

I'd be totally fine paying $3-$5 to upgrade but this is pretty ridiculous.

Don't get the outrage about prices... you're not going to find copies of Rogue Galaxy cheaper than that, and the old GTA games are the same price on Steam.

Also would rather have this than just play PS2 games show up as is... a lot of them are rough to look at these days.

Will definitely buy Rogue Galaxy.

Dark Cloud is great but Dark Cloud 2 is so much better. I'll wait for the sequel.

Rogue Galaxy will be mine.

I'll take a Parappa 2 and a KOF 2000, but otherwise that list is utterly meaningless to me.

I've started and not finished Rogue Galaxy twice now [one time I burned out on hunting badges, the other time on crafting]. I don't think I have a third try left in me, even though there is a -ton- I like about the game. Redoing the early missions again will break my head.

No mention of PS3 classics pretty much confirms the news from earlier, fuck sony, I just bought the GTA games on classic too...

That's a pretty meh line up at launch.Wish there was a few more games with a bit more variety. I'm ambivalent about the prices, though I understand why people would find it a little steep. The fact that PS2 classic owners have to repurchase stuff they own just plain sucks.

Persona 3 and Persona 4 not on the list :(

1080p upscale and Trophies remote play/shareplay, etc support seems like they put a bit of effort into these versus the PS2 ROM dumps on the PS3. Price isn't the issue here, but whether there will be quality games coming in the future.

I'll wait for Dark Cloud 2 but I'm getting Kri, Rogue Galaxy and one of the GTA games for sure.

I guess I really don't have a problem with that price. 15 seems like a great price for this set of games. I wouldn't pay it for many ps3 games, but this is fine.

15$/€ for a 10/15 years old games ?

and without a option to play with my original disc ?

If this is the answered to xbox BC... they are gone mad

Sorry am I missing something? Why is everyone complainning about the price? I thought it was a pretty damn reasonable price point. Dropping $60 odd on new games seems fine yet this seems pricy for upscaled versions?

Not what I wanted. I just wanted backwards compatibility with higher resolution support, and for Sony to just vomit games onto PSN.

With this, I'm not sure that smaller gems will ever be supported. Getting publishers to create trophies for older titles will be like pulling teeth. Incredibly disappointing.

Wow, no cross buy and $15? This really sucks. Adding some sort of Backwards Compatibility could have been a real great move for the hardcore fans, but this is just nothing now. It's funny, on the latest Bombcast they were talking about how much PS2 games on PS4 would cost, and they were saying $10 bucks was on the expensive side.

Also surprised they still haven't put PSone games on the PS4, but if those games get the same treatment these have I guess I wouldn't be bothered buying them.
