They didn't say full-sized RPG game, did they?
Post the link saying this will be a sub 10 hour game. I'll wait.FF 7 has as much content as a single game, because IT WAS A SINGLE GAME. Stop with this BS "disc 1 is like 3-4 games already". It isn't.
I swear, the industry's marketing is so effective when people are willingly agree with shady corporate tactics. Why do people settle for less for no reason?
This is what "cinematic single player" has brought us. Sub 10 hour full priced games people are willing to defend.
It's modern day Square we're talking about, a company who hasn't released anything good rpg wise in 10 plus years. What happened to "giving benefit of the doubt"...?
How so? I think this approach says the opposite, really.
I don't understand that thinking. What you are finding "okay" now is essential this:The more I hear about this, the more I am okay with it. It sounds like it's going to be similar to the XIII trilogy, with each part being roughly 20-30 hours worth of content, possibly more depending on circumstance.
Imagine a 60$ price tag next to each year.

Strangely enough, 1.So how many full sized games was the original?
so, will it be $180 dollars to play all 3 parts? Well, shit.
I can see them doing that for the ultimate collector's edition lol
Now the question is, how on earth are you splitting a 40 hour story across 2 or more full sized games?
i am absolutely amazed at how many ppl don't really care and is ready to throw money at the game.
I know the games will sell like hotcakes.. but this is how they are making money nowadays.... idiot consumers who don't even realized they are being milked or enjoy being milked..

It's blowing my mind just how many people don't seem to understand what the hell is going on, as if it's that hard to grasp. This thread is a damn gold mine.
Except this is not what they're doing.
$180 for a story we already know. Mass Effect was brand new content. That's not a fair comparison.Did you complain about Mass Effect being $180?
Assuming what they're saying is true, I don't get why people are upset. More FFVII everyone. More of that world. More content, more more more.
If you're just looking for the same game, you have two very viable options at this moment.
A gussied up FFVII with minor changes is boring.
But will each game be independent from one another or will each successive title add to a whole? It'd be nice not to be blocked out of content that was on a previous disc

You don't understand what's going on any better than anyone else, outside of the development team themselves.

I'm in!
Though, I'm really tired of people shitting on the game this early..

They can do it. This is FFXVs map. Midgar alone should be slightly bigger than Fallout 4.
