First one was an abominable movie and I'm still miffed that this is following in it's footsteps. But credit where credit is due - Rocksteady and Bebop actually look really good in this, iffy CG aside. Not sure if good enough to actually elevate the movie itself beyond what it is. The Turtles still look terrible and reduced to caricatures, the humor is still pretty poor and the pointless sexual stuff is as dumb now as it was then. But hey, maybe they can get this one somewhat right.
 
Looks like the TMNT I know.

Ever noticed that every car has to do a front flip since The Dark Knight?. Whoever has the technique for that seems to make some business in Hollywood.

Yeah their CG looks worse than the turtles. But that could also be because the movie slated for Summer 2016 and there is probably still a lot of unfinished CG in this trailer.
 
The first one was dogshit of the lowest order and this one looks marginally better. Still not a huge fan of their designs and Bebop and Rocksteady's CGI looks awful. It looks like Michelangelo is still going to be a creepy fuck too and Arrows awful actor is playing Casey Jones. Looks like another trainwreck. Just put bloody Krang on screen.

How did they pull a complete 180 from the first one? First one looked so bad I never watched it.

This trailer looks so good I got goosebumps. What the hell happened? This is what 7 year old me always wanted a ninja turtles movie to be. Bebop and rocksteady look fantastic. The turtle car shooting manhole covers is sublime. What happened? Why is this so much better looking?

Went in expecting the worst, again. Damn. I'll see this in theaters for sure.
 
A few years ago we were talking about Colonel Schrader and Alien Turtles, now we're talking about Bebop & Rocksteady and Manhole cover launching vehicles.

I don't know if all this fan service is due to all the fan outcry from the leaked script from that first movie(and the crappy movie itself), but if it is, good on ya for speaking your minds, Turtle fans. And good on Paramount for actually listening. :)

I was expecting the technodrome to drop from the sky in the beggining of the trailer.

Looks like fun. Silly fun. But i don't expect much from a TMNT movie. I enjoyed the first one.

They know because they're us now. They're no longer trying to pander to us, they are us, and they're pandering to themselves.

I'd say it's definitely due to the outcry, and fan reaction to the first movie. The Foot Soldiers even have swords now instead of fucking assault rifles.

Yeah the CG looks really bad for those two in comparison to the Turtles but there's still time for them to improve it.

Bebop and Rocksteady were created for the 1987 cartoon series and were owned by Fred Wolf Films, while the movie rights were given to New Line Cinema. New Line couldn't use Bebop and Rocksteady, so they had to make two substitute characters. But currently Fred Wolf Films and Nickelodeon are owned by the same parent company, Viacom. So it is all under the same roof now. This is why the Turtles Forever movie got made in 2009 that was when the Nickelodeon buy out happened.

Thanks for explaining this (I always wondered why they never made an appearance in all the remakes/movies until years later).

Watched the first one a couple months ago on Netflix. Are we really supposed to believe all their ninja knowledge came from one book Splinter found? How stupid is that? At least the original movie had a plausible reason (sorta).

Still never saw the first TMNT cuz it just didn't look very fun, just looked like pure action and way too dark for what I care for for TMNT.

This is one movie that I don't mind the cgi looking like a cartoon. As much as I love the older movies with the suits, I don't think that'd get very far today.
 
Now that's much more like a TMNT movie, compared to the last one.

Shredder is no longer a Transformer,
The Foot Clan are ninjas now, not just random guys with guns,
Bebop and Rocksteady + Rocksteady in a Tank !!!!!
New Turtle Van / Truck,
Casey Jones,
Baxter Stockman,
Alien spaceships, strongly teasing Krang.

Pretty much everything a TMNT movie should be really. Looks like they are trying to please fans, fixing the flaws of the last movie, at least to some degree anyway and looks like it should be much more entertaining.
 
Wow, it actually looks a fair bit better than the first. Granted, the CGI is a little rough right now, but that's somewhat expected since the film isn't near release, yet. Plus there's a ton more TMNT elements in the movie (see post above).
