I've taught my boy to always reference these new designs as the ugly turtles . But this movie looks a lot better in tone then the first one .

European SNES got these colored buttons too.
Not sure how to feel. Previous one was so bad. No story behind Shredder and Splinter looked like a blind hairless rat. Pretty sure they made the turtles bulletproof as well. Megan Fox was Megan Fox and looks like continues to be Megan Fox in this one too.
Think the first film from the 90s is probably still going to be the best.

Raph is still a little hulkish, but I like the more uniform design teaks for the turtles. They got rid of Leo's awful samurai stick armour, and gave everyone more coloured straps.

It looks better, but the first one was horrible. So it doesn't take much to improve.
Even from the trailer you see the typical Bay's bad cinematography and audio. And also the actors only says their lines. No connection, no flow, just meh. Mostly one-liners as well.
Since I got burned on the first one I will wait until BR release.

I will say what I have said before, the movie looks stupid fun. And I didn't even like the 2014 movie.
At least we know we're getting Bebop and Rocksteady.
For those who watched Secret of the Ooze at the theaters, we were expecting Bebop and Rocksteady but we got this:
Apparently different characters were owned by different studios back in the day. Bebop and Rocksteady were created for the 1987 cartoon series and were owned by Fred Wolf Films, while the movie rights were given to New Line Cinema. New Line couldn't use Bebop and Rocksteady, so they had to make two substitute characters. But currently Fred Wolf Films and Nickelodeon are owned by the same parent company, Viacom. So it is all under the same roof now. This is why the Turtles Forever movie got made in 2009 that was when the Nickelodeon buy out happened.

Looks like fun, but I still cannot get over how weirdly human the turtle faces look. Too uncanny.

The first movie was fine as a turtles movie, and the crybaby fans likely made it worse with the shredder backlash causing reshoots.
I want a replica of those glasses, stat!

I would not go further than to call it a decent popcorn flick. And that's it.
- No good acting
- Horrible lines
- bad timing on humor
- bad pacing
- weak story
- no good or memorable music
- Bay's cinematography is actually going backwards in quality. His first movies was miles better. Tho he had a lot of help from Bruckheimer and Don Simpson.
As a Turtles movie it was awful. This is only better because of Rocksteady and Bebop.
I would understand the massive backlash. It shows even in the modified movie that it was lackluster.

Actually looks alright. May watch in cinema. First one was terrible outside of the bros' scenes (Dislike Megan Fox and the other guy's jokes were just bad).
That would be my guess too. Krang > Thanos.
The parts featuring the turtles were good, but there was nowhere near enough of them. First hour of the movie is mostly just the

I have to say, this one looks better, really. Didn't follow it until now, are those alien ships somehow related to Krang and/or Dimension X?
While their designs are great, i'm bummed that Bebop and Rocksteady look so ... out of place and obviously CGI/cartoony, hope that they work on that until release.

Definitely in the minority... but I enjoyed the first. This looks even better though!
