Seeing a lot of posts about teleporting. Only teleporting issue I had was against an Australian player. Most other matches have been fine. Guess it's random.
 
The match I just played had a few teleports early on, but got smoother. Haven't had a super laggy match yet.

tried to find a match for like 10-15 minutes... no luck :( Do you guys know if the region you selected plays a huge factor, like if it only searches within that region? I selected UK and haven't gotten a single match but it's like 7am here so I guess no one is playing T_T
 
AAAAAAND DONE. Fuck this. I switch from training mode to casual so i can dictate the connection level. Set it to 5, get paired up with the sixth ranked player who is from australia, and it's litterally the worst teleport fest of all the matches I've had. Nope nope nope, cya later sf5

Could be me, been matching up with a lot of Americans compare to last beta where I was vsing only Australians.
 
Umm...you all DO realize that this is not the actual beta period yet, right?

This is just a limited stress test before the real beta next week.

Sure, but I'm not gonna waste my time trying to participate in their stress test when it's practially unplayable because of opponents litterally teleporting on screen. Not to mention that the connection filter clearly doesn't work.

Its been working great for me for the past 3 hours. Not sure whats going on but it isn't happening to everyone.
 
Welp, I'm gonna go ahead and call it a night. It's gonna be rough playing this next weekend without a stick, moreso than I anticipated. I think I ended up going 1-14 or something. I lost track, but I remember getting my ass kicked a lot.

I'm guessing a lot of it is location based. I'm in europe, and most people here are/were asleep while i was playing, so I pretty much only got matched with americans and the australian person in game that made me give up.

During the second beta it worked great, and there i pretty much only got matched with europeans or russians.
 
Few things are as satisfying as closing out a match by dropping Nadeshiko on a Ryu who is charging up fireballs from fullscreen.

I hope the final version lets us adjust input delay on a per-match basis.

That match wasn't so bad, but I think I'd be willing to put up with another frame or two of delay in an international match in exchange for less rollbacks.
 
I can't wait to see how butchered the cast got. Dudes literally decided that comboing stand strong into stand forward with necalli was too good. With that philosophy they probably removed half of bipson's buttons.

You can do st.forward into cr.strong at least!
 
Yeah. I mean it doesn't really affect him I just don't get why they felt the need to take away something so trivial. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be pissed in five days.

Man I really liked the Birdy build with the batshit crazy damage and stun. The game as mellowed out so much since then =/

They've taken quite a risk developing and testing as publicly as they have. 'Don't call them nerfs call them changes' is going to be a hard sell to people who are attached to a character who just one build ago could do a bunch of things they now cant.

So basically, an ordinary day when it comes to this beta?

How long has the option to set the training dummy to human controls been in the beta? I remember wondering if you could do pseudo local play using such a setting after forgetting to check if it was there the first few times the beta went up. Last night I saw it was there and I was wondering if people were using that much.

Last night was the first time I managed to actually be home when the servers were on and not out of town on business...

Finally got to play some SFV and holy crap, I did not suck this much at SFIV... I'm glad to see a lot of people suggesting Ryu got a nerf, because there was a lot of things I expected to link that just didn't...

Also, I've been playing Killer Instinct too long now, my timing just feels, off?

Had a few matches that were patently awful in the stuttering department... I wish there was a method for the game to detect that and award no one a win, because I didn't deserve the stutterfest wins when I got them... Nor did I deserve the stutterfest losses when those happened.

Also, I have to say, i didn't think I would like R.Mika, but her move set is pretty great and her personality is hilarious... My wife was not on board with her looks at all... But even she snickered at the butt smash super.
My only beef, you'd think you'd be able to do her QCF+K flip into the HCB+K throw really easily but that throw seems to whiff every time I attempt it after the flip... Am I not doing that right or are the devs purposely preventing that from working?

QCF+K is a throw that hits airborne opponents.
