I really hope I enjoy the 00:05 showing...

Because I've just bought a ticket to go with a different group at 15:00 that day.

Anyone still not feeling Kylo being Hans-Leia flesh and blood, and then kills his father? Seems like forced family drama and a tragedy not befitting our heroes.

I rather prefer Kylo be Snoke child or adopted son something and in the end he turns good against his father...:(

I can't believe that collider guy doubled down.

I actually think I would really like the Plagueis idea (assuming it was done well of course). But it's absurd how clingy people still are to the idea now that it's been dismissed. Though how visceral and angry some on the other side sound doesn't seem necessary either.

Looking forward to the fallout collider will face, heh. Should be entertaining. Maybe they'll triple down, "Well it's all shrouded in mystery, and in the next two episodes the shit will be revealed," or something, and then just wait for people to forget they ever said anything. (The internet never forgets.)

Things gotta get worse before they get better.

My husband is very interested in seeing the movie. I plan on going with him, problem is I'm deaf.

With that said, I'm sure that's not a problem with a loud crowded audience. But I do wish to be spoiled on the plot points that I may miss due not being able to understand the dialogue in the movie. He could sign for me as he's hearing himself but it'd be too dark in the theater to see his hands clearly.

I've seen the originals and parts of prequels (don't really care for them honestly). Can anyone point me to the direction of a good plot summary of the new movie coming out?

Mustafar should have been that. It should have been on Coruscant, deep in its bowels. Like the original McQuarrie concept art.

Holy shit, just looking at McQuarrie's old art, it's interesting to see how much concepts they are still using:

I kinda like this. McQuarrie did a helluva lot concept art for the SW movies that didn't make the cut, yet still felt genuine to the series's visual continuity. Its cool to see it still being tapped all these years later with TFA and Rebels.

It's in the OP, scene by scene description of the film.

The opposite. If Kylo kills Han in full knowledge that he's murdering his father that makes it really interesting for me. What drove him to hate his father so much? Why did he turn to the dark side? Why has he aligned himself against the rebellion and thus his mother? Those feel far more intriguing to me than Kylo being revealed as Snokes son.

The reused Tatooine concepts are interesting. I have the feeling Jakku was at one point Tatooine and then they decided to not go there again (to prevent making the world even smaller again)
Jakku has the exact same vaporators too.

Uh what? Youtube videos? Sure, if they're even subtitled. :\ They're trailers and teasers Cheebo.

You know that part right under the trailers and teasers? Like, RIGHT under them? Big ol image? Looks like this?

While we wait for the film itself to open, keep yourself busy by paging through a document called

A curated collection of all the leaks, production art, rumors, and bits of interesting speculation accumulated over the film's production. The Spoilerboard is said to contain roughly 90-95% of all the film's story beats and plot points. Should be fun to match what actually happened up with what we thought was going to happen, and to see how true Han's words in this thread's title end up actually being.

That's what Cheebo was talking about.

What country do you live in? Pls say UK

Remember when I told you people here never fully read OPs and wouldn't even notice if you were offering to give away money in it sir?

Remember when Cheebo was being mean to someone? Cause boy I do!

I surf GAF with images off, y'all aren't trustworthy

Kinda hope spoilers don't get leaked for the next Star Wars movie, so we don't have a whole year of Cheebo talking down to people to endure. We already have one BobbyRoberts, fam. Don't need another know-it-all.

He just can't fathom that both his and Campea's sources are wrong. Hell there's still like a .000001% chance he's right. He's holding out hope.

In other news, Manabyte has shut down his new SW site after only a week and is no longer working with MSW. Wonder what happened there.

I don't think just being completely bewildered by getting shit wrong is enough to explain the weird "Disney told us to pull it down you guys" thing they pulled.. Because that doesn't seem probable/possible at all. There's holding out hope and then there's... whatever this weird shit is. But again - it's not like what they do for Collider depends on credibility at all. So they'll likely just ignore this fuckup, wait for it to go away, and hopefully reduce airtime spent on predicting/prognosticating plot points for upcoming movies, because they're not good at the spoiler shit.

There's a fuckin' space in my name, fam. Read.

"know-it-all" as an insult. Comin' from you. Shit is rich.

Well Bobby Robert is quitting this scene. Although I refuse to believe him. He'll be pulled back in. And I am positive there will still be spoilers of plenty to be had, the desire for them is too strong for it not to get out there for this franchise.

And let's not forget we still had muzzlewump or whoever it was before the shot list leak overshadowed him. He got a ton right if I remember yes?

To be honest sometimes I just scan through OPs because I like the topic but don't care what the op has to say (Nothing personal BobbyRoberts!) and it wasn't immediately obvious where the spoilers were until I hovered my mouse over the image.

It's cool! It's not like when I say "it's in the OP" I'm standing there with my arms folded, tapping my foot and chewing on a toothpick or anything. I'm just letting people know it's already been posted up in there, and to go back and check for the answer they're lookin' for.

So much of the bullshit that pops off in threads like these (and threads period) is that people hear a voice in their head when they read shit, and sometimes that voice doesn't line up AT ALL with what's actually being said. Basically - people enter into conversations expecting confrontational horseshit, and tend to see it whether its actually there or not.

This thread can have as much in-fighting as possible as long as we remain above the "Hey guys what if Luke was secretly Kylo/Snoke?!?" nonsense we are winning.

I dont think anyone has attempted that card yet in this thread which is pretty remarkable.

And yeah, if you'd like, you may peruse THE MIZZLEWUMP RUMORS, which was a quick anonymous spoilerdump WAAAAAY back in March of 2014, said to be based on a 2nd draft of the screenplay. At the time, of course, nobody believed shit, and wrote off a fair chunk of it as complete fan-fiction.

And then time went on, and the shotlist leaked, and art leaked, and trailers started coming out, and while those things didn't quite VERIFY the Mizzlewump rumors, they sure as shit seemed to lend legitimacy to the idea that whatever Mizzlewump was sharing, it was, at one time, a snapshot of a plotline in flux on its way through development.

Leia is made leader of the Republic after her predecessor’s death
Han is a retired veteran of the Republic fleet
Luke hasn’t been seen in nearly 30 years
the lead character is Han and Leia’s daughter
the other lead is the child of Lando, and either a male or female depending on who is cast
the other lead is a Stormtrooper, also either a male or female depending on who is cast
dialogue for these two characters is very rough in the second draft
Luke has no known offspring
The Empire still exists in the form of a number of loyal galaxies and are in a state of cold war with the Republic
The Empire is simply referred to as the “Empire,” and the Republic is referred to formally only once, as the “Galactic Republic;” no “New” anywhere
There are no Jedi whatsoever, and people still speak as if they are extinct, with Luke being “the last of his kind”
The main antagonists are an older student of the Emperor, and his apprentice
The apprentice takes control of the power dynamic between the two pretty quickly…
The Republic are excavating ruins on a neutral world for a weapon; the world factors into tense negotiations the Empire have had with the Republic, and is referred to as the “Sith Homeworld”
Loredump: In the script, the Sith are a couple thousand years old, founded by an ancestor of Palpatine called Ruin; the apprentice in this film also goes by that name
the ruins within the Sith Homeworld are a control station; the planet itself is the weapon
Luke saves the day at the end, but in a bad way; he has changed

So again - this isn't the movie, obviously. But you can see that it probably was the general shape of the movie at one point, and knowing that can give a little insight into what got changed along the way and why it might have been changed, and what ideas were in play

Looking at my theater no close captioning on the initial Thursday previews but closed captioning options for the film throughout the weekend.

Any chance that Ruin = Ren?
