More than two million donations have been made to Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vermont, the campaign announced Wednesday.

A Twitter account representing campaign volunteers posted the milestone.

Sanders is also expected to receive the endorsement from the Communications Workers of America on Thursday, according to multiple reports. It's the largest communications and media union in the U.S., and represents more than 700,000 workers.

It would mark the third national union to endorse Sanders, who has already been endorsed by the American Postal Workers Union and National Nurses United. Hillary Clinton has secured the support of more union workers, however -- so far, she has 17 national labor endorsements, including the Service Employees International Union, and National Education Association.

We are talking individual contributions, not individuals the actual number of individual contributors Bernie has is close to 1 million according to his campaign.
To put that number in perspective, Barack Obama's historic 2008 campaign managed to break one million contributions in the primary and was well below in terms of individual contributions.

Congrats to Bernie Sanders on this monumental milestone

It's going to be lonely in the OT when he has to concede his campaign in less than 10 weeks. Get the fun in while you can.

He also just got endorsed by the CWA

No it's going to be fun to see you hillary supporters crying your eyes out (like you did in 08) when Bernie gets the nom.

Wow very impressive. Glad to have helped contribute to that number.

I do hope those donors will be as enthusiastic no matter who the democratic nominee is. Some supporters have me worried.

Don't be so pessimistic.

Heck, look at the results of Democracy for America's poll, where he pulled in 87.9% with 271,527 votes cast and earned DFA's endorsement.

The guy has support and momentum, but it's up to us to keep it going so he has a chance.

Hey nice! I voted in that.

Bernie of course. Damn 87.9% is way higher than I was expecting.

Yeah the momentum is great. Killer Mike is a great advocate. Bernie is getting a lot of support by the people, where Hillary is still mostly deep pockets and corporations.

Yup. There's a thread about it too. I watched it several times already. Great interview.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. It has been all over social media for many many days. I'm sick of hearing about it!

and honestly did anybody even know who Killer Mike was before he hopped on the Sanders train?

Why do Sanders and Ron Paul supporters constantly bring up online polls...
If the difference in support wasn't as staggering, I wouldn't have brought it up.

I don't know why it means NOTHING when one candidate is 77.6% above another, regardless of being an online poll.

Many people knew Killer Mike before this election season. He has been in Outkast's extended family for over a decade.

Or he can run in the general and form his own party like Trump and partake in the War of the 5 Kings with Rubio. Hillary, Trump, and Jim Webb. RIP in peace America.

So if you're so adamant, why are is his official polling numbers so much lower when compared to the online polling?

He doesn't have momentum, his numbers haven't budged since the first debate (when Clintons numbers went up).

Condescending, bullshit post.

Sanders relies on educating people and getting the laziest voters to go out and vote/support him. It's a good effort for sure but I really can't see him winning. When congress have an approval rating of 6% and 97% get reelected you realize the people who can make a difference just don't bother.

but has Outkast done anything notable in the last 10 years besides Andre playing Jimi Hendrix in that abysmal movie? haha I digress.

On-topic: it's amazing how interesting this election cycle is at this early stage. I still don't think Sanders or Trump will be the nominees but it has been an unpredictable ride so far, so who knows.

It's kinda true though. Seems like he's getting less relevant by the day.
Killer Mike interviewed him in a barber shop, your argument is invalid.

You're trolling but Killer Mike is in Run The Jewels, one of the best rap duos in music and they had a pretty damn popular album last year.

not to mention the Outkast affiliation.

Can we have any threads without this petty bullshit?

As a Bernie supporter in the primary who's fine with voting Clinton in the general, this shit has been keeping me from reading this forum as much as i used to for politics. I've noticed it's cooled down a bit from the peak venom a few months ago (i think maybe some people got temp bans eventually), but it's still aggravating.

It ain't bullshit when it is a 100% fact. This election is over once we hit Super Tuesday. Hillary gained a foothold after the Benghazi hearings and the first debate. All of Sanders momentum completely froze at that point and he has been completely unable to gain any ground since then back in September in polling.

There is a reason the Hillary campaign is now co-fundraising with the DNC and focused on going at the GOP candidates. The party has already moved on to the general. You Bernie guys are fighting a war that is already over.

Sorry but dehydratedbabies is correct. Hillary supporters have been nothing but condescending on Gaf and it's infuriating.

Yeah but why the gloating? This immature shit makes it looks like you're talking about sports.

I don't think official polling numbers are telling the whole story.

I'll concede that it's the one area that doesn't instill confidence in me, personally.

It's just...something.

Bernie is smart. He acknowledges the mathematical and structural realities of how our electoral system is set-up, which is why he won't be running third-party. For that alone, I think he's aces. He's made a remarkable mark on this cycle. And should he find himself conceding, I hope he reiterates this to his supporters.

Politics, especially elections is pretty comparable to sports. That is what drew Nate Silver to it originally coming from a sports background for example.

Killer Mile had the best rap album last year, he's pretty well known.

Ok, but why don't you think it's telling the entire story?

You know most online polling is garbage, right? The reason we use specific polls to gauge the public is because they have specific requirements and makeups that usually get a decent idea of what the nation (or group you're targeting) think about a subject.

Politics in its most vile form is like sports, good on you if you want to be a part of that.

It will keep on going as long as the idealistic left is frustrated that the mainstream left is holding back their revolution while the mainstream left is afraid that the idealistic left will cost them the election.

Yup just like 08 when HIllary won the nom and became president...oh wait that's right she didn't. Same playbook that was used against Obama back then is being used against Bernie now and the results will end up the same.

Bernie is totes just like Obama. Not any differences in campaign strategy or disposition. Nope.

Nothing Bernie Sanders wants to get done would ever pass the house or senate. Sorry. Sometimes, you have to be pragmatic.

I think Bernie needs to do a much better job of explaining what a socialist is before he could ever win a general (or maybe even primary) election.

Bill Maher tried to press him on this a few weeks ago and he just repeated his standard lines and wasn't able to deliver any soundbites about democratic socialism.
