What if... Rey is Kylos daughter? But everyone is afraid to tell her. Thats why Han is so nice to her.
They were like the same age lol

I really did think I'd hate BB-8 because of how hard they were pushing him. He turned out to be one of my favorite characters.
Think of the children.

I was thinking that too. Dont you have to be born a Jedi from a Jedi?
Would it be a possibility that Rey is a granddaughter perhaps?
Luke is nearing 70 by now after all.

It's not about being angry. Don't know why you would think I am. It's about the fact that Kennedy understands that creative comes first so she stays involved to keep it on track. It was Kennedy that jettisoned Lucas's ideas for Ep 7.
Pearl utter just cares about money and could care less about creative integrity.

Luke is approximately 55, not 70. Just FYI.

yeah rey is in her teens, and apparently finn is 4 years older than her.Well, Kylo can't be any older than 31, and Rey is 19, so...
I thought Han was nice to her because he felt shitty for leaving his daughter on that planet for her own safety and wanted to be a better father by offering her a job on the Falcon so they could be closer. We never found out what he and the bar owner said when they talked about Rey.
I thought Han might be her dad for part of the film but overall i think there is a lot more clues she is Luke's
Yeah but I could see them doing it as a promotion. Battle of Jakku is in there.
What trailers did you guys get?
I got Warcraft, Civil War, Apocalypse, and something called The 5th Wave that I initially mistook for a District 9 sequel.
That scene is so disturbing. I kinda wish George didn't feel the need to go there, or at least imply it in some dialogue later instead of showing it. Yes, I understand we need to know that every Jedi is being hunted down, but this is just crazy.
Yeah. It wouldn't make sense for Leia to tell Han to bring their son back, but not reveal to Rey they are her parents also and bring her back into family as well.I thought Han might be her dad for part of the film but overall i think there is a lot more clues she is Luke's
What if... Rey and Kylo are twins? Luke bet on the wrong horse.

that is what I am saying! A mother knows her child, and no way am I to believe the dense Han spotted his daughter before LeiaYeah. It wouldn't make sense for Leia to tell Han to bring their son back, but not reveal to Rey they are her parents also and bring her back into family as well.
Been hearing this from more than a few fans. I think it might be that Poe, Finn & Rey had a chance to bounce off each other on basically the same level in a way Luke, Han & Leia really didn't get to until much later in the movie. Luke spends a lot of his intro being yelled at or slightly condescended to by much older dudes, until he meets Han, who more or less disregards him entirely, and only after springing the Princess does their interplay really start to take off. That's like 90 minutes into the film.
With the Force Awakens, Poe flicks Kylo shit, bumps into Finn, and they hit it off great, until he bumps into Rey, which has them sparking, chemistry-wise... They basically don't meet any grumpy old fuckers looking to teach these whippersnappers a thing or two until about the 45 mark when Han Solo shows up.
Kennedy knows that she is a facilitator and her job (as any good boss) is to give the people she hires the best chance to succeed. She keeps the suits out of the way and lets the creative people do their thing. Feige appears to be much more hands on when it comes to the actual movie making; and Perlmutter is an asshole who I hope gets shitcanned by Disney before he fucks Marvel up irrevocably.
wait for real? I was basing off Hamill's age
He was that young in the original trilogy?
The more I think about the movie the angrier I get that it was not 20-30 minutes longer. I know this is the second time I say this in this thread but damn it needs those 20-30 minutes with longer scenes that are not cut as fast.
I really want an extended edition.

Doesn't feel forced to me. They're both characters that have never had a friend. The spark was there, makes sense they would be loyal to each other very quickly. It's hard for me to believe that anyone would think the forced chemistry of Finn and Rey is better than the real on-screen chemistry of Han, Leia, and Luke. Han and Leia had serious sparks, and Han and Luke had a snarky rivalry that naturally turned into a good friendship. Finn and Poe's overdone bromance starts almost immediately after they meet because Poe is an obnoxiously upbeat Disney cartoon character. Rey is great as a character, Finn is great as a character, but together there's not much chemistry aside from Finn acting thirsty the whole movie. Their good acting skills make me believe they care about each other as friends, even though there's no reason for them to act that way since they just met. So it feels artificial.
TL;DR ANH's character interplay works because they develop friendships/feelings for each other naturally as the audience watches. In TFA, Abrams forces emotional arcs to be compacted into unrealistic timeframes because he's got a lot of shit to stuff into the movie.
Kylo also killed kids, we see him and hia buddies over the corpses.
Being dark and fucked up is necessary sometimes.
pretty muchLeia believed in him and asked him emphatically to do it, multiple times. Han didn't think he would succeed and plainly knew what the likely outcome would be when he yelled out his crazy-ass son's name at the bridge. Han isn't naive in the slightest. He steeled himself for what was to follow in that moment and walked forward.
He was taking responsibility as a parent and facing the personal demon of his own creation, after running away from the issue for years in the wake of Ben's turn, and also making a final gesture of his love for Leia by taking on her request.
This is what I'm cautiously looking forward to. A bluray extended edition release in 2016 which includes a bunch of new stuff. That'd be amazing.
Which would be useless to me. I want a longer movie not bonus stuff >.<Going by Star Trek '09's Blu-ray release, I feel there's gonna be a nice deal of deleted scenes.
I said it before, I blame Leia for Hans death. She probably knew exactly what would happen. Still sour about their separation. Shes been seduced by the dark side for years.Leia believed in him and asked him emphatically to do it, multiple times. Crazier when you realize Vader is on cereal boxes.

So I guess going forward Rey is gonna fit both the lightsaber-wielding jedi and starship-pilot-with-alien-second-mate roles. Rey is literally Lonestar.
what the hell? lol. That math is waaaaay off. He is 24 in ROTJ. And TFA is 32 years later. Luke is 56.Would it be a possibility that Rey is a granddaughter perhaps?
