How well does Phantom Pain run on GTX950 and I5 rig? I want to pull the trigger but worried it won't run well...

LMAO. Are you serious? This isn't a joke post????

I run the Phantom Pain on a GTX 760 and an i5 at 1080p with everything on High at 60FPS. Ground Zeroes was the same.

The Fox Engine (RIP) was amazingly optimized on PC.

buy Overlord or were not friends anymore

How do I know if I'd like Shadowrun Dragonfall?

- Turn based combat
- Fun, light, not too "crunchy" RPG systems (not a lot of numbers and complexity)
- GREAT cast and pacing, almost like an 16 bit JRPG or KOTOR
- Rainy, neon-lit cyberpunk world
- Satisfying story with comic book-y writing

That's the deal basically. It's a fantastic game.

The problem with the system is that it only works when they have enough data on you, the games you look at / buy / have no interest in, price ranges, genres, tags and people you associate with.

For all that to happen, you have to actually use it, which I suspect is the purpose of adding cards to it.
that's not true cos they already have tons of metrics on you because they know what you play and what you want to buy

pull the most recurrent tags out of the games with highest hour counts on your profile and grab the highest rated games out of those + the ones in discount

pull the most recurrent tags out of your wishlist and find good games with those tags

pull the most played and highest rated games from your friends lists. give priority to the ones that have the most shared playtime with you (say find people for me that play lots of new vegas and dark souls, ignore the people that have a billion hours in dota or whatever)

finally give some popular/good rating/best selling options but only as one or two every bunch of real suggestions, this way you're still peeking into unfamiliar genres and games

with your hourcount and wishlist you can offer much better suggestions than the garbage we're getting now

for the eleventh time i give no fucking shit about online shooters, stop suggesting that

I'm only using it for the cards and that's it. Once the sale is over it's back to being ignored.

Ever since they changed the store-front, I've found myself caring less and less about checking the storefront and only waiting for people to say "yeah this is on Steam now" to wishlist/buy the stuff I'm interested in off GAF. That's a total redesign failure.

£2.19 for Shadowrun: Dragonfall is literal robbery. Buy it, feel ashamed of yourself for a moment, then play a truly incredible RPG.

On another cyberpunk note, Satellite Reign is 67% off, down to £7.58. A real gem that.

Damn :/

I remember really liking the Cold War Crisis campaign, but of course OFP was something completely new then, so it was easy to overlook its problems. (And weren't there many... Commanding a tank was such a chore as the AI was incredible accurate with bazookas.)

Yeah, OFP is still the best single player campaign they've done. I would still look at ARMA 3 for it's mods, especially Pilgrimage. You can check out a video playthrough from the author here. But if the price isn't right for you fair enough. The lowest it's ever been is 60% off though.

How do I know if I'd like Shadowrun Dragonfall?

As someone who played CRPGs from the late 80s/early 90s, the words "isometric, turn based cyberpunk RPG with branching dialog paths" was all I needed to hear. If this game came out in 1996 it would have been declared the greatest game of all time.

So if you like that era of PC gaming, then you'll like Dragonfall.

Sitting here in hospital waiting on a procedure tomorrow. Thought I'd check out the sale for (fingers crossed) getting out before Xmas and some games to play to cheer me up.

Bit disappointed to say the least lol!

That said I want wasteland 2 and Divinity OS enhanced which are £15 and £20 respectively. Worth just taking the plunge at those prices?

Think I might get Metal Slug 3, meat boy and Ryse as they are all discounted fairly well.

Have £8ish credit so those 5 games for £40 ish seems OK.

Sort of tempted by Dying Light and Elite Dangerous too (though I do have Star Citizen I barely touched before coming in here)

On a side note I've been sucked into Hearthstone during my stay, already bought the 3 adventures and 100 cards, Eek!

It's clever having to go through the Discovery Queue in order to get free cards. It gives exposure to up to 36 games per day, which means a potential of a whoppin' 504 games throughout the whole sale.

Exactly as I'd like it, as the lack of exposure is starting to hurt the storefront.

Aww, why have a 12 day sale if nothing changes :(

So that we can buy stuff with all the Steam cards we'll be getting from friends and family for Christmas clearly.

Also I get paid in a week, and GabeN did me a good one and made sure the sale would be on when I have cash.

For GermanGAF: Amazon launched a sale today too and some prices are better. Korra for 3€, South Park for 5€ and so on. Just give it a try before you pull the trigger on steam.

I've finally bought Snakebird after hearing only good things about it for months and that's a really good game. I'm stuck on level 4 right now and I'm looking forward to getting stuck on more levels.

We went from one of the best sales this summer to one of the worst.
GG.

Far Cry 4 Uplay key is 14,99€. Still too much after missing the Origin price error though.
