Is there a thread for organizing 4-packs? There are a few games I would be interested in if others want in. I don't want to risk being hung with codes. That happened once before/

Actually does DS2 Scholar run well on PC? Or is there little reason to get it over the console versions?

It runs perfectly. Seemed like it ran better than the first release even. Was able to run it at 4k 60 FPS with room to spare on a 970, so should be good for most gaming PCs.

So really, of the games on my wish list I only want to ask GAF's opinion of:
Way of the Samurai 4
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae
and lastly: Snow

They're the cheapest games on my wishlist, but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger without getting some word of mouth

Also, has Toma made his excellent annual Hidden Indie Deals/Gems thread?

My game, Cosmochoria, is 50% off for the duration of the sale, but I like you girls and guys a lot so here are 10 free keys. Sorry for not following protocol / giveaway process for this but its CUZ IM SO FUCKN PUNK ROCK I DON'T EVEN GAF. Merry Xmas pals.

All gone. Ill do another proper one with the modulatory robot in the new year. Hugs yall

I didn't know the dev of Cosmochoria was on GAF! Your game is wonderful and I've been singing it's praises all year. The sound and music design especially stand out to me. Just a great experience.

Everyone should buy Cosmochoria!

I got it as part of a bundle a while back didn't like it. I didn't try it for long so maybe I missed it but it felt very limited. It's partly my expectation of it being more stylish combo focused instead of just a brawler. The immediate comparison I can come up with is Fairy Bloom Freesia and that felt way more rewarding and complex despite also primarily consisting of fighting waves generic enemies in a small featureless arena.

Thanks, may hold off for now, spend some more time perusing the sale before possibly biting on that, even at 2.75

Considering sending my amazon copy back I'm rocking a 980 at 1080 just so should be grand.

Figured I'd ask after the appauling first one.

that's it? it won a poll? I thought it would be something more scandalous..

lmao

finally got home, not very enthusiastic about any of these sales prices

nothing on my wishlist seems to be on the price i want it to be, i think

wish nuuvem had a way of importing your steam wishlist, that would be super useful to have

might just buy the pillars of eternity expansion pass and not much else

Those Nuuvem prices sure are tantalizing in comparison...

(I'd be careful with PoE depending on what region you're in, though, since that seems to be region-locked.)

So far I bought:

  • Undertale + Soundtrack
  • Pinball FX2 Balls of Glory DLC
  • The Pinball Arcade Season Three Pack
  • Bioshock 2 - Minerva's Den
  • Downwell
There's other stuff but to buy at 50% discount...bleh.

BorderLands 2 max settings is glorious, lol @ original ps3 version I played

Also Ori and the Blind forest is great to, if the Witcher 3 or Stick of Truth can drop in price this will be an amazing sale for me

This is a hell of a time to buy Life is Strange, what with the Square-Enix Bundle happening right now.

For WotS4 you're in luck, some GAFfers just answered me about it:

Read this review by fellow gaffer Crazyrabbits: https://steamcommunity.com/id/alexngregory/recommended/312780/

If this won't convince you, nothing will.

Game is fun. Port is good other than the 30 FPS lock. KB&M not suggested, controller works betters.

The branching story based on your choices is amazing.
tl;dr?

I appreciate all the Skyrim mods advice. I hardly make any money right now with my job, so I have to be a lot pickier with my game selection.

I'm looking at picking up Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Transistor. Hopefully Dark Souls 2 SOTFS will be cheaper by the time I complete Dark Souls 1. I have all this time to kill at my job, so it seems like the ideal time to finally conquer that fear.

Side note: How's the steam controller? I may pick one up if I see it during my time in Cape Town.

So Ubisoft kinda pulled their own dailies last sale, I guess it's bound to happen again with them and others?

Very surprised that Resident Evil HD isn't on sale, given that RE0HD releases soon.

If you're wondering, Shadowrun Dragonfall is the very best Shadowrun game on Steam, by a fair margin. Hong Kong would be the runner up, and Returns isn't really worth it.

I hated Transistor so I'm probably not the person to ask about it. I utterly disliked the repetitive combat it had--just never really felt free-form or challenging enough, just a bother. Overall it was really a step down from Bastion in all ways possible, as if the studio just completely lost touch with reality while making it.

... I really hated Transistor.

Not sure what to think about this guy. On the one hand he's a jerk, but on other hand he has a JoJo avatar. Maybe he's actually Dio. :P

Lol. Just noticed his name is Dio. So yeah, it really was him, Dio.

"You thought it was an Undertale hater, but it was me, Dio!"

It will. There's no way they're sitting out games like Far Cry 4 and the Crew, and probably not Asscreed Syndicate when the latter two have recently released DLC they want to push.

I feel at $3, Transistor is worth the risk. I could see myself going either way. I recall seeing a LTTP on Shadowrun Dragonfall, and I was sold by everyone's impressions there.
