Nope. I was really hoping that stretch goal was reached.
face button master race ftw.
damn feels fucking amazing once you get your groove back.
Besides the lack of licensed remixes, the only problem I have is that the PS4 R2 trigger isn't well situated for Amplitude as the PS2 R2 was.
Tapezilla: L1 + triangle + circle
Tapezilla: with my right index and middle on triangle and circle
Tapezilla: Left index on L1
Change to right/left dominant, rather than right/left seek under options/controls. It moves seek over to the right stick and leaves move without seek on the dpad/L stick. The only thing I don't "like" is track seek--it makes keeping your streak less impressive, when you instantly jump three lanes over to the next track, rather than arrowing over with milliseconds to spare.
I'd also like to disable R2.

Lights by Wolfgun is a ton of fun, has a FreQuency vibe. Tracklist is growing on me.
Anyone know what difficulty "S" is? Some crazy unlockable level?

I dropped down to Intermediate and it just feels so much better right now. FCing songs now, or at least getting close, but it's giving me the chance to experiment with the different control schemes.
I may end up buying all the DLC for this when more comes out.
Yeah, but I thought I'd test my skills for a few songs. Hitting the notes didn't seem to be am issue, more keeping the note streak up when switching tracks, too used to the looseness of Rock Band Blitz.I always start on Normal no matter how good I think I am. I have fun before I go to suffer.
You'll be able to play Amplitude using the FreQuency-style tunnel tracks!

Yo. Late campaign.. I'll use spoilers to be safe. (Don't spoil it for yourself if you plan to play!)
Last track in Limbic System, Dalatecht, on higher difficulties? Needing to maintain 4x with no power ups and then the game decides to throw a fucking acid trip on you in the last third? Good fucking luck, friends!
Good. Fucking. Luck.

If you unlock the bonus song for that region, you have to play THE WHOLE DAMN THING in that messed up view mode. I think I've finally developed an immunity/learned the parts to a degree where I can get through it, but it's absolutely horrible. For the three 4x gates, just start from left, then right, then left. Seems to be the best way to keep a beat going with only (I think) one tricky jump.
That was cool, but Fear Factory in Frequency was amazing and super-formative for me. I'm sad that this one seems to be missing something similar (but not that sad).Did anyone else go into Amplitude blind and have their jaw hit the floor when Slipknot appeared as a boss song?
How is the game visually? I was largely interested in the reboot because of the visuals. I liked the original games, but the concept art looked bonkers.
It's all pretty much original tracks and electronica... I didn't know I wanted this and now I need it more than oxygen. Are classic songs in? Dope nose?

I never had any complaints about the OST, it all sounds great. Just wished it had some of the Frequency/Amplitude composers back or more EDM. There's a ton of amazing artists who I'm sure would've happily given a song or two to be in Amplitude, like Carpenter Brut and such.
The best part about Freq/Amp games was the gameplay and how, on higher difficulties, it made you feel like you're actually playing the song on some instrument, instead of just doing the simon says routine. I could enjoy that with any song on those games, even if I didn't like it. In fact, I can safely say that some of the songs I liked the least in those games, actually gave me the most satisfaction due to this experience being the most pronounced on them. I feel that the people who knock this game down so much just because of the soundtrack, never 'got' this in the first place, which is a shame. Comparsions to Audiosurf just make me shake my head in disbelief.I agree about CB! I flagged this internally. I had the hook up and probably could have made it happen, but either no one was interested in following up or (more likely) were too busy wrapping other parts of the game. I was part of the team that helped get folks like Danny B, Jim Guthrie, C418, etc on board and I think those tracks play great. That said, the stuff the team wrote for the game is rad and was written to be fun to play, a luxury you don't get with licensed music ("The bass part sucks and is boring? Oh well!"!).
Oh my god, I had never seen this before and it's godly. Now I'm sad it's not in the game. Loved Bloody Tears before, and now I will forever hear it as Barkerville. So did Barkerville not make it into the final product?
