Idle Master portable glitched somehow while I was away, it seemingly it tried to idle in a lot of different games simultaneously without actually triggering drops.

Now I'm over 7 hours into 30 games I never played with no cards dropped in any of them. lol.

My profile now makes it look like I managed to clock almost 8 hours into Go! Go! Nippon and Cherry Tree High I! My! Girls!, and those times will grow even longer since I still need the cards from those games.

:(

Idle master idles all your games with less than 2 hours playtime simultaneously. Also some games require more idle time than others.

I'm thinking of buying Squarecells or Paint It Back. Paint It Back seems to offer a lot more value for the price, but I really really liked the Hexcells games. If you could only pick one, which one would you choose?

Oh and Merry Christmas guys (and girls)!

I bought them both because I love the genre. But for reference I played Squarecells first as a veteran of the Hexcells games and it took me 6 hrs. It's definitely reminiscent of the first Hexcells in that it is short and only gets challenging near the end, but it's still wonderful while it lasts. I'm sure he'll continue to refine.

yeah I've noticed this a lot lately.. sometimes I will have closed idlemaster but if I go to task manager steam-idle.exe is still running..
Guess I won't leave it running while I'm away anymore, I haven't used it in a while but last time it worked flawlessly when it only looked like a CMD window months ago.

Glad I'm not OCD about my profile or game times or I'd be freaking out right now lol.

This was an actual glitch though, when I looked 7 hours later it had a list of games opened simultaneously and wasn't showing any game image, instead of idling one after the other. None of the 30 separate games dropped any cards and they all clocked around 7 hours each.

My kid is having a nap and..yeah, I wanted to browse the sales for a while.. But no..

How is it even possible that high load can take down a major store front like Steam. It shouldn't be possible..

Downwell is so awesome. Considering moving it even higher up on my ballott

If it's stealth you want, play Styx.
I hear ya. Remember your posts when you were playing it. Not only by you but in general I only hear good things about it. It's on the list for future sales/bundles.
I shouldn't have stopped idling when Styx came out.

I was actually a stone's throw from using up my remaining drops at the time, but after completing Styx, I just sort of forgot to get back to it.
When we are generous and say every 10mins a card drops, you'll be idling more than 1050hrs or 43 days. Not included of course the growing number of new games and hence new drops..... I kinda think you won't be finishing idling until next winter sale, haha.

From experience, idling ~1000 cards in a single run took me about 6 weeks, although I didn't idle 24/7 (more like 8/7). So... yes, it's going to take quite a bit.

Sure. Don't all crowd the ball, make yourself open for passes, blame the ref for poor desicions, take back handers from countries to host tournaments in the desert.
Don't forget flipping over the car on your own and blaming the opponent, demanding a penalty.

Just got my gf a laptop for Christmas, so I'm wondering what is the best way to use Steam Sharing?

Any tips and tricks? Obviously it's not a tech beast but I'd like her to be able to share in certain story and indie games. Her Story, Walking Dead maybe, etc.

Just sign into your account on her PC and authorize it and you're good. It's a pretty simple and easy process.

Now all you need is another program to sell all those cards.
