Any better recommendation for This War Of Mine? It's the only game I feel iffy about in the cart.

Am I the only one who has noticed that some games are shifting price or outright being removed from the sale? The two I've noticed are Total Annihilation and South Park: Stick of Truth. I'm fine with there being daily/flash sales where I know the time constraint on the sale, but the lack of transparency of "it's on sale now, but who knows how long" is kind of bullshit.
All the games on their individual store page say 'offer ends xxx" most say offer ends jan. 4th, the stick of truth said 'offer ends December 26'.

If I put several things in the cart at once, then choose "purchase as a gift" to email to myself, will I get them separately or together? Planning to do a giveaway and just want to make sure I can spread the love.

Dragonfall is a new game and recommended to start your experience there since it is a significant improvement over the first game.

Dragonfall is separate and self contained.

It's a standalone, new campaign, that improves on Shadowrun Returns in pretty much every way.

Cheers for that. Just got myself a mechanical keyboard with red switches so thought it was the best time to get on the CRPG train. Might just buy Dragonfall if it's that much better than Returns. It's only £2 :P

Any good games for a MacBook Air on sale?

You know, for an Intel HD 5000 and trackpad (not mouse) and keyboard.

Sunless Sea (GOTY 2015 candidate)
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Don't Starve
Cities: Skylines (GOTY 2015 candidate)
KOTOR II (Recently received an update to run at widescreen resolutions, achievements, and Steam workshop)
KOTOR I
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Invisible, Inc (GOTY 2015 candidate)
Kerbal Space Program (GOTY 2015 candidate)
Transistor

All have Mac versions, all on sale, all extremely good, all will run on your air. All of these games have Linux versions as well except for Sunless Sea and KOTOR I.

Cities: Skylines and Kerbal might not run as well as the other games, I haven't tested them on my Linux laptop yet with integrated GPU.

Literally everything is better once you go mechanical.

So it's some niggling issues rather than anything show stopping.
If you say so.
Soft locks on co-op result screen and inability to swap weapons with AI partner seems like something that should have been fixed in a co-op game. The fact that the latter is fixed by a fan doesn't get Capcom of the hook.

Is Transistor any good?

Loving the art style..

Eh. It's alright, but not excellent. The battle system is cool, but the game is too short to fully experiment with it, and the combat easy enough to never make you truly care about it. I found the story rather dull.

Presentation, from music to graphics, is ace though.

Length of sales are mentioned on game's page:

Hmm, I guess I never looked that closely since I assumed they would all be identical. I've almost exclusively been using the wishlist to monitor what to buy since the storefront is an unfiltered mess. Unfortunately the wishlist doesn't show the sale end time.

I think I'm done with the sale.

Undertale (xmas present)
Why Am I Dead At Sea?
Duck Game
The Last Door Season 2

Outside Steam:
Kentucky Route Zero
Ys 1&2
Ys: Oath in Felghana

It's been a while since I had so many games I'm looking forward to play.

Thanks!

I'll try the first KOTOR.

Total Annihilation was discounted due to it having recently released on Steam and Valve is allowing Ubi to have Dailies on its older games for some reason.

^ Vermintide!

It looks interesting, do the collector edition worth it?

I'm open to anything as long as it is in a good, playable state

Act of War & Aggression
Wargame series
World In Conflict
AOE II HD : The African Kingdoms
Planetary Annihilation: TITANS
Grey Goo
Offworld Trading Company (EA)
Men of War: Assault Squad 2
Angels Fall First (EA)
Ashes of the Singularity (EA)
Call to Arms (EA)
Nightside
Warshift (EA)
Ceres
Beyond Sol

Oh, forgot about Offworld Trading Company. I haven't played it much, but follow the dev blog, and it seems like they have put some real thought into the campaign in that.

Started Lightning Fantasy 2, performance seems to be better than with Lightning Fantasy 1

(well, ought to be, considering I ripped out the framepacer from XIII-2, and I have 4790K+970 now, instead of 3250+750TI)

Still drops here and there, but so far nothing terrible.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to a new tri-Ace game. Will have to buy Lightning Fantasy 3 whenever that goes on sale.

Any kind EU2 citizen willing to help me out with The Talos Prinicple? I got a 50% off coupon which should make it 2,50€. Will Paypal.

Rogue is generally considered better than unity right? I was thinking about getting that or maybe AC Syndicate? Along with Pillars of Eternity.

Man picked Life is Strange and loving it. Play thru chapters 1 and 2 without stoping.
Rest in Pepperonis Kate. Ill answer your call next time

Nope, there's Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City and Street Figter x Tekken too.

Street Fighter x Tekken and RE: Operation Raccoon City, too. SF4 vanilla technically counts, as well.

oh yeah I forgot about those, I kind of want to buy SF x Tekken too

Other than some missing DLC, I would prefer Capcom places LP1 prioritizes something like LP2 if they decide to do another wave of GFWL removal.

yeah, especially since LP2 seems to be a coop focused game

Been playing Mad Max over the weekend as a time waster. The game is kinda... meh? It's not bad, but it isn't impressing me at all either. It leaves me feeling ambivalent but I still play it because it's filling up progress meters and keeping me barely engrossed. It's sort of like how Darksiders is compared to Zelda games.

I also picked up Assassin Creed Unity, well prepared to hit the refund button if it doesn't run acceptably.

Does anyone know? I've still got my cart open here, and need to know if I have to make five transactions in order to have them given away separately.

Afaik, the only site that combines purchases into one key is humble bundle. You should get separate keys for each. But you could always just send them to your inventory first to be certain.

Imagine Just Cause in Mad Max setting.

what why is there a skippable loading screen in alan wake's american nightmare

so it just pretend to be loading if I don't press any buttons

Looks like I managed to pass 3k games with the latest indiegala and humble bundles, since I didn't buy anything on the store this sale (outside of gifts).
I was actually surprised to see I passed the 3k games, since I forgot I bought those bundles, although what surprised me more was the festive look on my profile. I completely missed they added that during the sale.

I'm a little new to this badge making, but I want to upgrade my DX:HR lvl1 badge to a higher level. Do I need to use this "booster pack" or can I just trade cards from other games for the DX:HR ones to make up a new set?

The festive look is from the sale badge :)

You can trade for the cards you need or buy them from the community market.

How meaty is the AsSyndicate season pass?

Has it even started to bring content out? If it's anything like previous Assassin's Creed's, it'll be 1-3 single-player expansions and 3 map-packs for the multiplayer (if it has that). It really depends on how much you enjoy Assassin's Creed and want more/expansion content.

I think all the content for it is out now?
(Jack the Ripper and the Maharaja stuff)

Scratch that, the Maharaja stuff is 2016.
Eh, I'll wait and spend my remaining wallet on something else.
