Jack the Ripper DLC is about 6-10 hours long, depending on how fast you want to blow through it. The other "side missions" that are included in the season pass are about 15-20 minutes each or so. The 500 Helix credits is kind of a joke, but it's a nice bonus I guess. The outfits are okay but didn't really add much in my opinion. Overall it's a pretty solid package for $18.
 
What is even the point of the discovery qeue if it completely ignores your preferences and shows you one early access sandbox surival game after another? Valve pls

Hm, so let's say 8 hours, and maybe another 8 for the next story DLC.
Of course, the point is moot, since the store is deader than an ex-parrot.

I've apparently leveled up from survival games and MMOs to nothing but anime games in my queue. I want the unity asset survival games back, please.

Steam's getting really weird now. Tried to buy something, got a card declined header but then going back to the checkout it's listed as purchased. Go to my library and try to install and I get another notice saying transaction is being processed and unable to install.

What the fuck happened to Steam? I thought they fixed their security issue? Why's it still a shit show?

Similar thing happening to me. I just want to install Axiom Verge and I'm getting a big pile of nothing over here.
 
The game you guys are linking above with the picture, the static speaks my name, is rather short, free, and not actually bad I will mention. A little weird, though. For some reason it got a lot of attention with press around Halloween. It's not spectacular in my opinion, but not bad.

Also, man was trading cards on steam and its kinda screwed up for me. Some of my card are missing but I never got the other card...then I checked later and it said they were on "Hold"....wtf?

The no-budget visuals and nebulous description doesn't do much to help it, in my defense.

It's their new "use our 2factor authentication or suffer" scheme.
If both parties aren't using it, trades have a 24-72 hour hold.

i'm on normal and had trouble in different areas (the fire dragon, fighting the first lord dude) but been managing pretty well

but this combination of druid ogres and dryad-looking naked ladies with stone beetles is destroying me lol

It seems we're stuck in some dumb limbo here. I just called my bank to make sure it didn't block my card and they've got no record of the attempted transaction at all over there so I'm stuck with a dead Steam account at the moment. Can't buy any of the other games I was thinking of grabbing either since there's a pending transaction and it stops you in your tracks.

Even more worryingly it never got round to asking for my security code at all so I'm guessing it's stuck in limbo until I manage to get hold of CS, which just isn't gonna happen fast.

Edit: Support is down for maintenance. This is really starting to take the piss now.

I was doing good until I went into the indie thread and ended up buying a bunch of stuff. I think squarelogic may keep me occupied until the sale ends.
 
Finally got my GOTY list finalized, played enough Rocket League to know that it's a damn good video game that deserves a spot on my list, it's addicting as hell.
 
Anyone having purchase troubles beware. I cancelled a transaction that got stuck in limbo and just as I was about to try again I got an email saying the transaction was completed despite cancelling it 20 minutes earlier.
 
Thought it was just me. Steam purchasing is totally borked for me. Called my cc company, and they have multiple records of approved charges, but Steam keeps spitting back failed charges to me on their end. Bummer. Was totally looking forward to spending the day with some good new games.

I'm guessing that since Steam has been so screwy over the past couple of days, maybe they just pulled the plug entirely until they get it all sorted out?

Yeah, wish Discovery Queue had some settings where could mark what genres you want to see, singleplayer/multiplayer etc.

I had 5 SHMUPs shown in a row. Oddly enough, most of them were released December this year...

I mean the F2P's that generally have cards have microtransactions ($10 to get ONE card a pop). I haven't heard of Steam allowing totally free games to drop cards?

Nah, not as I can recall. There are lots of expansions though, but you don't need any of them to join mp games as long as host owns them, which I do.

I wonder if the poster linked a wrong game. Store page doesn't seem say it has support for cards, their trading forum also has no posts... or maybe I'm just misunderstanding something.

The only free game I know has a card support without microtransactions is Heroine's Quest. They're only available by crafting booster packs from gems, making them rare.
