tomb raider can look stunning at times. tressfx looks nice and i still get great performance. older games yay \o/ some animations/transitions are jarring though. ui is very nifty. still early in the game, so I'm kind of ok with the very frequent loss of control to little cutscenes. they better not happen this often throughout though.
subtitles so dang ugly, holy smokes how did this get passed? had to disable subs, so bad they were.

(no capitalization because of an app i'm using, sorry)

You made me go back to that thread. Let's not mention this again.

Bunch of people coming in complaining how Transistor was exclusive to PS4, how they didn't want to throw down $400 just for an indie game, Sony's marketing got to them.

I help a few people by pointing them to the PC version's mere existence, this happens.

You know when people are saying how much of a transformative experience Transistor will be through the DS4's speaker you have a problem.

Never again bruhs

LOL they got from you mentioning there is a PC version that you are trying to dissuade people from buying on consoles, holy crap that fanboyism.

At least I know who's posts to skip over from now on.

You can almost be certain they didn't even realize that majority of those posts were in the Steam thread. gg.

£5 left in my budget. Any suggestions or hidden gems?

Do you have Downwell?
What about Hexcells Pack?
Monochroma?
LISA?
Bully: Scholarship Edition is totally my vote even though it's been cheaper by about 50c, I think.

I'd also crawl through Dusk Golem's horror lists. All of those are $2 or less.

So many games I want, ugh. Any opinions on Mad Max or Grim Dawn? Really not sure what I want to play at the moment.
Mad Max looks really nice, but it's also super formulaic and gets old pretty fast. Get it if you have a high tolerance for open world stuff.

Grim Dawn is awesome if you like aRPGs and just reached content-complete state with an expected final release in a few months.

Yeah, I was worried about Mad Max getting repetitive. :\

So... I have 0 games on steam. What are some must plays that I can't get on PS3/PS4 that are on sale now?

edit: So far all the half life, portal, KOTOR and 2, and Titan Quest have found their way into my cart..

Tomb Raider is still just a stunning game, I couldn't stop taking screenshots when I was playing it back at launch.
Prepare to have your mind blown when Rise drops on pc, I played the first 30 minutes on XB1, and somehow they made it look even better, in fact I'm sure it will take the visuals crown from AC:Unity when it drops on pc.

Good choices. I think there was someone giving away a Steam Beginner's pack here in the this thread.

guys is resident evil revelations 2 good??

its on steam for 2 reais, which is about 50 cents

Revelations 2 is good, and gets better with each episode. Episode 3 and 4 had legitimately great moments throughout them, and I even liked episode 1 and liked episode 2 even more.

But that is definitely only the first episode deal.

Found out my Steam account was stolen last month. My computer was out with a processor error and my yahoo account was also broken into.

So, I've got the purchase information, and hopefully the folks at support will figure out that I didn't move to Russia and all my purchases were in the States.

How effective is support usually?

Library transfer question:

I recently changed living situations and internet providers. Because of the horrendous bandwidth caps, I really can't download very much where I now live.

Here's what I did.

I've been staying at my old place during the holidays and downloading games using my laptop. I've downloaded them to an external hard drive attached to the laptop.

My main gaming PC is where I currently live.

If I take the current steam install as well as the Steamlibrary folder with me when I detach the hard drive, will I be able to reinstall Steam on the other computer and play the games that are installed?

I know you can change folder locations, but I'm changing PCs and download locations at the same time.

Play the first two... before #3!!

Uhhh... they'll probably respond in like a week or two. That sucks, though, sorry to hear. Did you not have any Steam Guard stuff? Not even the emails?

They got into that, too. The email account. Found the emails about fifteen minutes ago. Like I said, I've got the financials, and while it isn't helpful, I have the emails still though, so lazy hacker (that's what this is right?), but yeah, my last email from Steam was in Russian. But yeah, when I forgot my password option, it showed an email I didn't recognize.

Reasonable time for an FML?
