I just wish colored hair looked as natural and cool as it does in anime, its artificiality is very apparent when you see it in the flesh zone.
that i don't mind, it's not like it looks right in anime either lol

my biggest issue is that it doesn't last too long and it takes like 2 hours to get done so i never have time to go to the dye place so my hair is looking like bronze right now

What's the goal of playing Terraria? I'm tempted to grab it but if it's like minecraft where I build a house and get bored in an hour, I'd like to avoid it.
it kinda is

i'm playing it with some gaffers right now and it's pretty fun but it kinda is like minecraft in that if you don't enjoy building crap you're not gonna get much out of it

This one is a must have for every steam library.

Don't disappoint me, Gaf !!!

Most of the games I wanted are on Xbox or were for cheaper...

So... Steam sales aren't that great? People were really overblowing it all this time?

They were great, before the refund policy hit and flash/daily deals dead.
Most older AAA games are on their deepest discount, but some newer ones aren't. You can check each games' discount history on steamdb.

So...

You guys are telling me...

That it really WAS amazing.

And after years, when I finally have a PC that can run games, and I wanna do my first Real Steam sale to play games I bought, there is nothing left?

God, I feel like Charlie Brown, good grief...

This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of Teggy, who is running this raffle.

I am giving away a Steam key. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below containing the game you want to enter for. Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (Teggy, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- If you are a lurker you are not eligible for this giveaway. You need five or more posts in either the current Steam thread or the previous one to be eligible
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 3 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

It's not THAT different. There's just less excitement and hype surrounding the new system. For the most part there's still a shitload of games on sale.

If you're a new buyer and are looking at this sale and feeling like there's nothing to buy, you're crazy. If I was new to Steam I'd be buying a ton (I've still spent wayyyy more on this sale than the last 3. But there's diminishing returns with every sale for those of us that have gone through a few now.

It's still a good sale, especially for a new buyer.

it's fine, you're still gonna find lots of great stuff dirt cheap

it's just less exciting

If I absolutely loved Divinity OS and its turn based combat, will I enjoy Pillars of Eternity?
the combat is not as good but it's enjoyable on its own way and the story and the lore of the world are top tier and much better than divinity's

it's an excellent game for sure, some of the best wrpg stuff in years

What? No, it is still incredible value.

Way back when there were some deeper discounts, but its not like you were getting a recently released AAA game for 80% off. No, you were getting Patrician 3 and Hearts of Iron: Finest Hour and Hinterlands for $5 total and then never bothering to even install them. The difference now is that most of us own those heavily discounted games, and there's no more 'daily' system to fuss and fret over.

Yeah, this is wrong.

I've put 450+ hours into Terraria and I'm not a builder by any stretch of the imagination. Terraria has a system of progression that has nothing to do with building.

If you enjoy the feeling of your character getting stronger through boss killing, item crafting, loot drops, etc., you'll like Terraria. The only building you really have to do is housing for your NPCs, and you can just take 20 minutes to build a tower of rectangle rooms for them.

all about dem bosses, bro.

kill the main bosses, kill the big boss, enter hard mode, kill the bigger boses, then kill the god boss

If I was a new Steam user right now, and since there are lots of other sales on, here is what I would do:

1) Go through and put tons of stuff you want on your wish list, ignoring price

2) Go to isthereanydeal.com and import your wishlist (they call it waitlist)

3) order your "waitlist" by price lowest to highest and buy a bunch of cheap stuff. Everything else you will get an email when the price drops across lots of different sites from now on.

It's just that...

Well, I don't know what I want that I don't have. Steam isn't good for game discovery, and just going through a list of 10k games seems overwhelming. I guess the main thing would be non-RPGs and non-shooters and non-rts games that are exclusive to PC that are born to play on a console, with a One controller.

All I want are exclusives for PC that scream console game. Gotta have that delicious 720p with full AA @ 60FPS!

Lately?

Course I have.
But I'm holding back this year.
I'm off halfway around the world to attend
my brother's wedding on January and I may have
bought a business class ticket instead of
economy.
No way I'm flying 14 hours packed
like sardines.

Maybe not the best place to ask, but if you try and activate a key on steam and you already own the game, does it eat your key?

I was trying to activate a Dungeons of Dregmore key from an old humble bundle to get the DLC attached, but it said I already owned it and to proceed to download. Is this key still usable or is it gone? It says on the Humble bundle redeem page that steam "will not provide giftable copies" so it makes me think the key might be gone.

If that's not a thing that happens, then I could delete the game and add the game + DLC back on.

If it helps add me as a friend on steam-

Look at my list of steam games
Make a list of what you like and repeat it by checking other gaffer's game lists :3

Any of you guys remember the title of that indie game that was promoted heavily during PS4 launch?
I think it was some sort of platformer where you make use of shadow or something.

> Wants PC Exclusives
> Requires XBO controller
> 720p

All I could think of is some small Japanese publishers like that Recettear game by Carpe Diem and several H-games that are not on Steam.

I don't have any friends on Steam. I wanna add you but can't figure it out. I only have access to the site and the App. Again, thank you all for the tips. I will try to look through the site, I just wish you could filter exclusives.

Like... I have had a Steam account for like 7 years, and never really used it for good reason; no gaming PC. It feels weird.

When I got a gaming PC all I was planning to play on it was Phantasy Star Online 2.
In a few years I amassed over 1100 games. There's no point in stressing. Just relax and keep an eye out for anything interesting.

I'm not sure what "born to play on a console" even means.
