Do they shake the camera back and forth just to make me nauseous? :P

Conserving frames? Frameskipping? Other technical jargon?

It makes you move faster. Wiki's for Quake. I think it works similarly in CS.

Yeah, it's called zig-zagging or strafe jumping. It basically increases the speed and the length of jumps. Pretty handy in competitive as well actually, even if it isn't as effective.

This is a scheduled automated repost on behalf of uncredited male, who is running this raffle.

ModBot said:
I am giving away 9 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- This giveaway has a manual blocklist. The giver has identified members who abuse giveaways and restricted them from participating.
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (uncredited male, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- If you are a lurker you are not eligible for this giveaway. You need five or more posts in either the current Steam thread or the previous one to be eligible
- This is a free for all! You can enter for multiple games on the list below. Send an individual PM for each game you'd like to win.
- If you won a game from ModBot in the last day, you are not eligible for this giveaway.
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 24 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

Based Humble Monthly. I'm able to buy spare keys from awesome GAFers who have already played these excellent games. Sweet.

So I was able to play Watch_Dogs the other night, now it crashes after the splash screen.

I've ran from Uplay and Steam On/Offline and I get the initial splash screen, then a full black screen that quickly stops responding. I've tried to Alt+Tab out and it's locked in place, all I can do is restart.

Any thoughts?

So FF13-2 just kind of starts, right? I feel like after playing FF13 I had a decent grasp of what's happening, but the beginning of 13-2 makes no sense? Do they explain any of that at all or should I have read some manual somewhere?

The universe is punishing you because I didn't get a cheap watchdoges.

I'm really interested in Soma, but I'm also interested in Elite Dangerous too.
Which one do you recommend? I'm kinda leaning toward Soma right now.

Any recommendations for point and click games for someone who has played very little?

Read Only Memories isn't too complicated and quite charming.

Are you interested in a great sci-fi story with great presentation and minimal gameplay that's a quick play?

Or are you interested in a Sci-Fi universe that you can spend scores of hours in with minimal story?

Source Offers Insight Into Potential Sega PC Releases:

http://www.tssznews.com/2016/01/01/source-offers-insight-into-potential-sega-pc-releases/

But other titles are considered high priority for PC as well, according to our source. That includes Vanquish, Resonance of Fate, titles in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA franchise, and Virtua Fighter 5. We noted earlier this week that Sonic Colors is also on that high-priority list.

Miku on Steam is a no brainer.

What does this mean?

So everytime I start the steam client, it shows my installed games instead of my whole game library.

Anyone know of where I could pick up a 360 Wireless Receiver in an actual US store? I don't think many places carry them anymore, outside of a controller bundle, but my Steam Link shows up tomorrow, and my receiver just died. Ordering from Amazon puts it here on Tuesday, but I'd like to use it on the last few days of my break.

Any thoughts?

Also, this is belated, but: lovely work on that banner Salsa.

Our source also indicated Sega wants to being several titles in the Atlus library to PC, but is facing some resistance from the Japan side.

This makes the source sound totally legit. Of course the old businessmen over there would hate the idea of making more money.

Looking forward to Vanquish and Resonance of Fate coming to PC then. And patiently waiting for Bayonetta to finally get the framerates she deserves.

ATLUS pls.

The only company that really seems against the idea of porting to PC.

seriously, don't bother, after you begin trying to find some kind of logic in all of it, it makes even less sense than if you do nothing of the sort, trust me.

They explain quite a few things along the way, only that won't make you grasp anything worth grasping, character stories are kinda OK, any philosophy behind that story, or ties with FF13 better are ignored.

the funny part about it, that I'm still not sure are Japanese devs are really to blame for hating on PC if it is a hentai machine in Japan as Knurek insists on every occasion.

I'm not doubting that that may be part of it, but it is pretty damn insular thinking on their part if it's holding them back from bringing more stuff to PC.

getting back to not making much sense, SE in general is not good at sequels, they had no practice as they never were into sequels to begin with even in their golden days, they preferred new IPs and new ideas, what I liked about them and now... I have no idea what's going on there now.

I played a bit of Tales of Zestiria earlier with the 60fps fix.

Soma it is then! Thanks.

I wonder if danganronpa got updates 3 days ago on steamdb because they are being worked on or if it's the usual thing pushed for all apps.

I don't even need logic, and probably don't expect it,
I'm just wondering if at this juncture I'm supposed to know who or what Etro is, who is Caius and why is Lightning fighting him. And why are they in Valhalla.
If I'm not supposed to know it yet, then that's fine.

It's just a super abrupt beginning, that's all.

I don't think anything has been pushed to all apps in maybe 3 months, unless I'm forgetting something.
Because the app is private, all changes that someone makes to it will show up as a changenumber change, so it could be anything or it could be nothing.
The way it looks like to me is that someone was working on it daily before Christmas, and I'm expecting the work to continue come Monday.

It's coming soon! believe!
Hopefully not in January, but March for example would be nice, I'll drop anything I'm playing then for it.

yeah, they'll explain that in detail even, if it can be called explaining.
I kinda like games that drop me in the middle of things and let me to find out what's going on, only... oh well, no spoiler talk is hard

Where? how? what? I thought it would screwed up the whole animation?

Nope. Just download the patch and extract the few files into your Zestiria directory and enjoy.

I just sold a CS:GO skin on the market and bought The Wolf Among Us, hopefully that was a good decision! I just finished The Walking Dead S1 and really enjoyed it apart from the technical issues.
