Closing in on Trails FC, which has had one year more of sales.
See XSEED? JRPGs sell well on Steam, if you put an ounce of thought into promoting your product.
Finding a Canadian is apparently the hardest thing. RIP

I've heard the praise for the latter games as well, but I still loved the first. You need to be in a reading mood, but it's very well told. Makes me very excited to get into Dragonfall soon.Any thoughts on the Shadowrun games? All 3 look interesting but I've heard people say that Dragonfall and especially Hong Kong are far superior to Returns.

Good to see Witcher 3 topping the list of best selling RPGs.
Even taking into account the deep discounts on older games, it's pretty amazing that IFI sold almost 500k units on Steam in 2015.
Also, SR:HK deserves 3 times its current sales at the very least.
In a market filled with many games focused in loot and quests it may be hard for some games to get the recognition they deserve and with The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing I can honestly say that it was such a pleasant surprise that I hope its not something to go under your radar. As you can expect, you plan as Van Helsing while also having with your ghost friend and companion Lady Katarina. The world from the game is a mix of wilderness in forests, swamps and secret lairs with a combination of cities inspired by the gothic architecture that blends perfectly with the theme of Van Helsing.
The Story is easy to follow and it is told in a very casual manner without taking itself too seriously by adding one little joke here and there. As you advance in your main story you will be asked to do another tasks, which, while entirely optional they are highly recommended to do since it will show you different enemies and different worlds. The best part of doing these side quests was that, not once I felt overwhelmed with a ridiculous amount of tasks to do, its just about the right amount of content if you just want to play a 20 hour long game without the need to grind by keep killing the same old monsters or soldiers over and over again.
With the option to choose between a more ranged or melee approach to kill your enemies, the variety in the customization is also a pleasant surprise. Depending on the style you choose how you want to engage your enemies you can engage them from far or close and personal so its really up to you how to tackle them. Theres also a decent selection of Auras, Skills and other powers and abilities for you to explore and learn as you level up. Lady Katarina, your companion, is also customizable and you can even order her on how to approach your enemies as well what to you want her to do. She can attack from close or long range, focus on the weakest enemies or on those harming you not to mention you can ask her to go sell your unwanted loot or even to buy some health and mana potions, saving plenty of time to explore a bit while shes shopping for you.
Its a very easy-to-follow game and fairly enjoyable. I never felt frustrated or bored and the game did not felt repetitive, something that may be common in these types of games. I had an enjoyable experience from start to finish while listening the pleasant soundtrack and the funny sayings from lady Katarina from time to time.
How did Sword Coast legends outsell Underrail and The Age of Decadence...
Seeing Idea Factory games on any notable list makes my heart cry from ouch.
I'm not quite done yet, but at this rate I'm looking at yet another sale without a foil. It's a cruel joke at this point.
I bought that one as well today, but after roughly 1 hour I am not feeling the hype about this game. But then I felt the same about Earthbound which I never finished. So I've made my first purchase this sale and year.
It was Undertale.
One hour in and I can already say this year is off to a great start.

Grandia 2 did pretty decently.
Funny, it makes me happy insteadSeeing Idea Factory games on any notable list makes my heart cry from ouch.

Dragonfall and Hong Kong are far superior to Returns. If you really want to play all three, play Returns first so you don't hate it for being a huge downgrade on Dragonfall.
it converts to like 4.3bucks here in my region
i'd even gift it to you but I can't, cuz steam has to make it so complicated
The whole thing is riggedI'm not quite done yet, but at this rate I'm looking at yet another sale without a foil. It's a cruel joke at this point. That #6 foil I have doesn't count as it was a mystery card I earned as a result of levelling up prior to the sale starting.
The whole thing is rigged

So you like 2D stealth puzzlers like Gunpoint and Mark of the Ninja, and you're looking for more? May I suggest Master Spy [$4.99 on Steam during the sale, OST for $2.49], which is like this retro 80s computer punk themed 2d stealth puzzle platformer.
