But seriously, if you guys have not played Ib, Witch's House, and Yume Nikki yet, you really need to ammend that. Those three are must-plays. And all three are free.

I can describe them more or link them if someone asks and is curious.

Tried the first two for just a bit, they were 2spooky. Yume Nikki is pretty rad though.
Seriously, having a tough time getting through The Last Door. I have no stomach for scary/creepy/unsettling games.

we don't play wrpgs for the AMAZING COMBAT, we play wrpgs for story, choice and consequence, atmosphere, character systems, quest design, emergent gameplay mechanics, etc.

there is so much of all of that in bloodlines

Regarding The Deed, it's a VERY short game (around 10 minutes), I really liked it because it is...unusual. Spoiler following:

You need to kill your sister and avoid to be caught with this. I played it two times, I didn't manage to get away, so I don't really know if it's possibile to do, but the game is very interesting and worth a play.

There is a spin-off game that was originally DLC known as DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark. It releases in 2016, features an open world with various objectives to complete. It features expanded versions of all the main locations of DreadOut in open world mannerisms, plus two entirely new locations, all 15-20 ghost of the original game, as well as 13 new ghosts.

Story-wise, it takes place during the period later in the main game

when Linda gets dragged into the mirror world in the mansion towards the end of Act 2.

Very curious to try this. I already wrote it several times, but those guys are talented. I believe with much funds they can do an awesome survival game, they have the right ideas, and even with a few money they managed to release a great, little title.

And yes, Lisa: Beginnings is good, though a bit Yume Nikki-ish like and while some story connections obviously to Painful and Joyful, I also think Painful can be played on its own fine.
