Here's an idea: the actual run should do all of the non-DLC bosses, and then let the DLC bosses be a donation incentive, maybe set up on a separate file with a prepared character for marathon safety sake.

the problem is there is no way to make it safe. It's a super difficult run and even the best players die constantly at the harder bosses
Man this sucks. It makes the game look like a joke. Talking about RNG on these bosses that don't have a prayer killing the player in the first playthrough at that level is making me cringe. Nothing against the guy playing either, but the audience clapping after he beats a boss by spamming r1 for 20 seconds is just wrong in comparison to the skill displayed in other runs.

This route is extremely old and the only thing introduced to it since the first few weeks into the game's release, which is when this run was first routed, was the Byrgenwerth/ Rom skip and possibly the Yahar'gul skip... had he actually been able to make it.
That's.... a shame. For him. For the viewers. For the other Bloodborne speedrunners. For everyone all around.

I feel like that's the most disappointing part. My favorite part of the game was finally beating Gerhman only for the god damn moon to come down and beat some sense into me. Not having to do anything of that just feels..... underwhelming as an end to the game.

Contrary to the popular wisdom, estimate is not equal to deadline. Though there are reasons for it to be, it'd be called deadline then, wouldn't it?
Game is great, run is bad.
As others have said, an actual all bosses or any percent run would've been great to watch, despite it being risky.

There is nothing worse than run where they dupe glitch an item and then simply use it over and over for hours and hours.
Can't wait for final fantasy 4.

All bosses category without DLC isn't the most safe category, but there would be a lot that can be done to make it marathon doable (the most punishing thing that can happen would be being brought back to a checkpoint since there are only very minor skips that could be redone).
I really don't like that DLC was used as an excuse not to run a better category.
I believe patches fixed this, but they fixed the exploits in this very run.

Most Bloodborne playthroughs don't last 45 minutes and skip over 10 of the bosses.
We don't have to welcome the good games.
They've already been here the whole time.
The WHOLE time.
Why are you still acting as if this run is in any way representative of the game when basically everyone told you the opposite is the case already?

The fuck? That run was nothing like playing the game normally. The load times were mostly cut in half by a patch, for one thing.
An all bosses, no glitch run would have shown why the game is amazing fwiw.
