Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen Steam pre-order is LIVE

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Having a hard time trying to figure out when this unlocks since I love in Taiwan. Account is states though.

Taiwan is +8

Just look at the store page and do some basic calculations. ;) It unlocks everywhere at the same time.

ENB released the first version if anyone cares.

ENBSeries v0.294 for Dragon's Dogma

Shaders are fully compatible with TES Skyrim, so you may use them from presets (Nexus web site or forum here), default included is not tweaked. When game will be officially released, i'll do the changes accordingly, if required. This version is made from Skyrim mod and have many of it's code existing, which is negatively affect video memory usage, i'll clear up things later. Mod includes ssao, ssil, depth of field, bloom, lens shaders, toggling game hud.

v0.294: First release. I wasn't able to test it much, because don't have saved games yet.

Can't wait for a good ENB.
It saved Dark Souls 2 (visuals) for me.

One of the reasons why I didn't bother with the SotFS version, since it's dx11.

There are a few games I've ever tripled dipped on. Majoras mask, Final fantasy tactics, and this game. I'm so happy people who've never played it can finally enjoy this game. Its so good, masterworks all, you can't go wrong with this one

Huh? Why do I get an email from gmg saying that I still got the chance to pre-purchase the game when I already bought it from there? Strange.

How would you guys think this would run on a Phenom II 955, a GTX 460 and 4 GB of RAM.

I think that is comparable to the minimum reqs. Would like to play it again but I'm not sure I could ever get 1080p and 60 fps (let alone using ENB) with that (despite 360 ports usually works fine with my PC, but this one seems more demanding).

bad taste, bad taste everywhere.

Including in this thread ?

The guy is not wrong on the tech part (modders are already adding AO before the game release, something the devs did not bother to do, you can bet many mods will appear soon).

As for his opinion, the game is late and should have appeared sooner. The game design is good but adapted to the ps3 limits.

By the way, 6/10 on this site is not 6 on IGN, it is not crap as you may think.

How reliable is Greenmangaming for pre-orders. I want to use that their 25% offer but i've never pre-ordered outside of Steam.

are we going to have a dedicated "sliders" thread?

gmg is totally fine. very pro. BUT i dont think you can do refunds on any keys purchased anywhere else. BTW cdkey and etc dont have any issues either.

Very reliable. They've already gotten their keys from the publisher so you'll get the key as soon as you check out which you can instantly register on steam. The only downside about pre-ordering games outside of steam is that you can't get a refund on it.

But DD:DA is shaping up to be a great port and we already know how good the game is.

Sweet, doubt i'd be going for a refund for this. Been hoping to play this for awhile.

EDIT: Pre-order done, now the wait begins.

The free DLC items super break the game. You start with a piece of armor in your storage that has mediocre stats... but you can sell it for 312,000 gold. That'll last you a very long time.

Not a problem to me, the urge to own every piece of armor is stronger than my desire for money.

I can't wait for the pawn shaming to begin.

"Ok. Who rolled the support loli in the bikini?" :p
Had to disable most of the online features in Xenoblade Chronicles, seeing all the real doll lolis in bikinis and bunny suits and realising what kind of people were also playing this game I was enjoying made me sad.

Definitely a bit of a reality check, like enjoying a round of online MP and suddenly realising your opponent all this time had been a 10 year old who just learned some racist words and is eager to test them out.

I'm really excited to be able to share pawns. By the time I played the ps3 version, I didn't have any friends that played the game. Just worked with what was available at the time.

DD is not a 6/10 game.

I wish I could play this game again with stable fps and in 1080p. But I have a Mac, so no chance...

My pawn was a muscular bearded dude wearing fishnet stocking, boxer briefs, a feather cape and a tiara. He got used a lot and always received high ratings and nice gifts xD.

Are there any greatswords (like the GS from DS) in this game? If there are I might have to rethink my class choice.

some of the greatswords that the warrior class uses are similar and evoke that dragonslayer feeling

a lot of the greatswords are more in line with like the lost sinner's sword- more swordlike rather than giant slabs of steel

warriors got kind of an issue of only having 3 skills available to them at once in vanilla rather than the 6 that other folks get though- hopefully that's something that gets fixed with mods but we'll have to see
