They still keep showing it. So it must be in the base game.
That theory that the start of the game starts there seems more and more realistic. Maybe its where you Agent lives and then gets message to activate. Some battle and really goes to shit there. You get move out with the chopper you see at the start of the alpha etc.

While there IS a Washington St in Brooklyn near where we've seen the bridges in previous demos and such, there's also one in Manhattan (on the west side, extending from 14th St all the way down to Battery Park in a few chunks).

However, I'd take the screen with a grain of salt, because the picture appears to be the corner of "Washington" and "Washington", going by the two "Washington" street signs you can see (far left of the pic about 2/3 of the way up, and the one further down, sticking out from behind the white box truck), which isn't a real intersection.

Edit: also, and admittedly hardly conclusive, but poking around in street view on Google Maps, I can't find an intersection with Washinton St that portrays a bridge/overpass that looks like that.

Even though graphics wont look like E3 I am still excited to play this with my friends. Sold a few csgo items and bought it on steam.

Little worried when people start cheating with pc version.
 
I don't trust those screens. I want to see HUD. I want to see what it looks like in the thick of things. Like what it will look like maxed on my PC.

We need a real leak.

Doubt it. There's a Washington St. in Manhattan, that runs one street east of the West Side Highway. The fact that there's so many signs in that image for the "New York Harbor" leads me to believe it's actually in Manhattan considering its proximity to the Hudson.

Yep, pretty much what the game looks like. It may be a tiny bit sharper looking than the Alpha on XBO, but honestly the resolution difference between 900p and 1080p (if the PS4 version reaches that) is going to be fairly hard to see with all of the post process effects in place that give the image a very soft look.

It greatly amuses me and saddens me at the same time that so much of the narrative around this game revolves around downgrade bullshit and nitpicking over the graphics when no matter what platform you play it on it is one of the most technically impressive games ever made. It is one of the most gorgeous and detailed games I have ever played. It is right up there with AC Unity in visuals, but runs much better.

The seamless nature of the matchmaking within the game world is exactly what I wanted from Destiny, instead of the very segmented experience we got. My hype for this game has been doing nothing but growing since all this new footage came out. Very impressed with what I've seen so far, couldn't care less about how the visuals look now compared to its reveal 3 years ago.

I can step out of the Base of Operations without a loading screen, walk up to my friend, walk through the entire Manhattan map, enter sewers and buildings and end up on the other side, without a loading screen and at the crazy detail they have in this.

The game is absolutely fine on the visuals front for what it does.
 
Anyone else really struggling with the choice between PC and PS4? Think I might have to try get the beta for both so I can try both out and decide.

Speaking of. I am thinking of doing the amazon beta trick for at least one code. Where does it say that Amazon don't charge until the shipping date; I can't see it on the product page anywhere? Not sure if it makes a difference that I am in Australia.

Amazon only charges when shipping on any purchase, at least here in the US.
