While I want it to secretly be Xenoblade Chronicles HD, that would defeat the point of the existence of the eShop version.

Also since Pikmin 4 has been basically announced by Miyamoto, that can be ruled out as well.

A console Animal Crossing or New Leaf HD would be kind of nice I guess.

In my dream it would be one of the franchises Nintendo has neglected. Punch-Out, F-Zero, Metroid, Warioware.

On the subject of what it could be, I'm not sure. Maybe Animal Crossing? I do think that their Animal Crossing assets used for amiibo Festival could be intended for more use as well, which would be fantastic.

It's almost certainly Pikmin 4. That's no secret, despite not having been announced. It makes the most sense for a Wii U title. Development probably continued right from Pikmin 3 to capitalize on the long investment.

I'd believe it if we were talking about Nintendo PR teasing a game, but I don't see why Emily Rodgers and co. would act like Pikmin 4 is a surprise to anybody.

Seems too late to be Animal Crossing. That's a game people will want to play for years. Unless it's cross-gen that is...

Just because it's not an eShop exclusive doesn't mean it's not a smaller title though, like New Super Luigi U or Captain Toad.

I'll take it, whatever it is. Wii U could do with another title this year.
