Pretty sure Alpha was always canon. Well everything other than Alpha 1 which 2 retconned out of existance.

Alpha 1 was never canon at all. Alpha 2 was the game that started it all, it didn't retcon anything.

I do wonder if they're planning on bringing back the entire Alpha crew or just the ones that didn't make it in 4.

I know it would never happen, but if they DID bring us a tekken character that isn't Kazuya or Jin... god I would love King.

We have 2 pro wrestlers already, and it'd be sick to get him to play sort of like he did in SFxT with those knee combos.

The only reason I wish SFxT wasn't dead as fuck is because King and Steve Fox in that game were some of THE MOST FUN I've had playing any characters. Their combos were just SO fun to do and watch. Ugh.

Well, Poison appeared in SFxT first. Remember Capcom labels guys like Birdie and Gen as Alpha characters and not SF1. Yun is different, considering he debuted in SF3.

Ah yes. I just looked up the announcement again and they be sure to say "all GAMEPLAY related content can be earned for free". So I have to imagine there may indeed be some non-gameplay related content like costumes or announcers that you can only get with real money.

Oh well. At least the characters are a for sure thing which is the most important. I'm still going to wait on the pass until I see how the game's economy works out. It's not like it's going anywhere.

Just called my Gamestop and they rang it up and the season pass did not discount. So I dunno. Keep each other posted. If I can get the pass for 15$ I'll probably go ahead and buy it too fuck it.

Imo 20-30 hours is nothing. I expect a lot more to be required. I also expect winning to be important to dissuade AFKers.
