Wat, really? I mean, I'm not saying shipping didn't increase FE's popularity - I've seen in firsthand with people who weren't into the series before. I just don't think I know (IRL) one single FE fan who is also a Persona fan :0
you can't have your cake and eat it too, people. you can't simultaneously advocate for games being an art form and then laud and champion the Money People for interfering with the creative process for money's sake. the few times that their infringements do things you like-- like taking weird face rubbing minigames out of games that don't really need them-- do not make up for how ready willing and able marketing departments are to totally fuck up a creator's work for the sake of marketability.
How is expressing my interpretation "using" you? I haven't played the game, but I've watched a lot of the translated stuff involving Soleil and came to my own conclusions divorced from any kind of controversy.
Please don't try to twist this so I'm the homophobic one. I made a thread about how happy I was at how progressive Tales of Zestiria was for having a gay protagonist. I was a massive supporter of Tyeforce's #miiquality campaign. I went off on my future brother-in-law when he said homosexuality is a choice. I'd rather not be lumped in with that last one.
Wasn't what I was suggesting. They can make it look cool, sexy or otherwise.Let's never design cool armors, then. Everyone should wear underwear, since it's a video game.
No, it has nothing to do with our exchange which was me asking for actual facts to back up these features were added due to middlemen requesting them after you asserted them to do so in response to Zebetite's post.
This minigame doesn't read as something someone thought was crucial to the artistic integrity of the game. Instead it seems like a marketing tool, added in to win over some of a niche group sitting on the fence.
Iwata - It has enough content to be a game? Maeda-san, you had so much work making three games, why did you add in My Castle?
Maeda - My Castle lets players experience living with the characters. We made it because we wanted players to really fall in love with all the characters.
Higuchi - And Maeda will do anything to make the characters more likable. He always tries to put in everything that will make players love the characters even more.
We do, though. Read the OP.But Zebetite is also assuming this change came from middlemen as well, which we have no facts for either.
One day I hope to see a slightly more muscular Marth.
I dunno who the artist of this card is unfortunately but I really dig it.

You're seriously calling these hideous?

If someone is cancelling his/her Special Edition over this let me know.
Absolutely, I just did. I've always had the option of importing it but didn't because games are significantly more expensive in Japan and I get nothing for it other than playing it earlier. If the content were at parity, I have no problem waiting half a year to a year. But it's not, and I don't have any interest in being on the front line of support for NoA's localization efforts.
If you're not going to listen to what LGBT people are telling you by defending a creepy magical gay conversion drugging then I don't think we need you as an advocate. You may not be a homophobe but you've chosen a homophobic trope as your cross to die on.
Do links regarding gay/trans conversion therapy and "reparative" rape of lesbians really need to be rolled out for you to get the picture?
So, instead of having an actual discussion you are just going to assume I'm wrong because I don't have a statement and you do, even if that assumption is dubious at best? How is that productive here at all?
We do, though. Read the OP.
Can I have a summary on how does this get to 49 pages in abt a day?

Removing advertised content from a game is a big deal.
schadenfreude basicallyCan I have a summary on how does this get to 49 pages in abt a day?
"aw yeah, thank god they got rid of it"
"why the heck did they get rid of it?? it was an optional thing"
"hopefully this means intelligent systems isn't gonna have any more pandering crap"
"I'm indifferent but it was optional so I guess it would've been fine to keep in"
that's probably 90% of the posts right there

It was never advertised for the west though.Removing advertised content from a game is a big deal.
You forgot about the anime avatars bit.
It doesn't sound like the cynical marketing decision you claim it is in the Iwata Asks about the game.
They recognized how important the new features of Awakening were to the success and popularity of that game and were expanding on those concepts.
I understand, but still I try, haha. Thanks for the advice though.Like I said, it's not worth it to try and deal with this dude.
Yet whenever you are asked for proof, the only thing you respond with is "Read the OP" and no elaboration. That is no better in itself. Yet I don't just immediately assume you are wrong and discount all of your opinions, instead I try to have a discussion based on them.I'm assuming you're wrong because you asserted something you've yet to provide proof for upon multiple requests.

Kozaki.
i dunno if someone answered you but that was also done by kozaki
As I've said I don't dislike Radiant Dawn's art but for fire emblem 7, I wouldn't say hideous but it's not that great.
Those are the protagonists of the game and they already look kind of generic, that says a lot of the other characters designs.
I'm trying to forget that mess ever happened. You forgot about the anime avatars bit.
...so are the Live2D models outside of the confession scenes gone? :<You forgot "Does this mean the Character interactions and Live2D are gone as well"
Hey now, only the ones before 6 were ugly.
Cool cool! I want to search up more of their art cause I really like it.
it was never advertised to NA players right? obviously marketing is international these days of course but still
I'll give you the official art for 1-4 but FE5's is pretty decent IMO.

Super generic (like ridiculously generic) but I like the watercolor/marker look at least![]()

You do realize you don't need to look far since he's the artist for Awakening and Fates, right?![]()
Only minigame is confirmed out. Live2D would remain and be used for the conversations even without the minigame.
Those posts were a bit strange but yeah. Its their choice.Don't forget "Preorder cancelled, I hope NoA burns in hell"
Go look up Lily Bergamo. Then be eternally sad that the game became Let it Die.Cool cool! I want to search up more of their art cause I really like it.
To be fair, that's generally what they go for. They go for the style that's in for the time, genericness may be one word to describe it but that's also what's popular. 80's, 90's, 00's, all the art styles follow the popular anime art trend of their era.
They better still be in in some way.I have no idea. Some evidence seems to indicate they are still in but who knows.
I've seen the support conversation. If it truly WAS gay conversion therapy, I'd be right there with you and call it out for being the deplorable thing it is. But it isn't, it's someone taking a drug that shifts the genders of everyone said person sees, with Soleil falling in love with the avatar because he was "nice enough" (in a twisted kind of way) to do something like that for her in an effort to get over her issues with being distracted by women on the battlefield. She didn't take the drug and was then suddenly attracted to men.
I'd probably call it misogynistic before I call it homophobic.

How would that work exactly? You just look at them and talk basically?
You should thank NoA for making the choice for you!I'm pretty disappointed that something optional got cut though. It sucks not having a choice at all.
