The red hair and the purple, living witch hat reminds me of Tessa from Red Earth/Warzard
I remember posting about this game months ago and people didn't really care. I really hope this game gets off the ground

Maybe it's because it was in the STEAM thread.
It doesn't seem like they've gotten too far with things though. Kind of worrying.

Ah, I searched very hard for any previous threads on GAF - but I guess my searches didn't scour the Steam thread. It may appear that they haven't gotten a lot done - but I have been a regular viewer of their Twitch streams which are scheduled every Wednesday (and some other day that I just became aware of) and they are definitely fastidiously working and committed to the project.
January 3rd Twitter Post: "Cerebrawl version 0.1c next week! Gameplay video with special announcement, and more! "
I'll try to add to the thread if anything compelling is released.
Also, for what it's worth - I get a strong indication that these guys know what they're doing. Although the team is tiny, each individual brings enough experience to the table that would indicate that they know how to see a project through - and on Twitch, the few team members that are available are knowledgeable and definitely guided by a realistic game development perspective. They're not dreamers - in fact, the artist was talking about Chainsaw Incident and they seem to have some practical insight on what kind of lessons there are to be learned in the 2d indie fighter space. They are aware of the difficult road that indie fighters have faced and they seem to be committed despite the challenges. I know it's all hearsay, but I get a good feeling from these guys and I see the work they put in on streams. I'm keeping my optimism in check, though - I love this genre but I understand that the road ahead is incredibly difficult. Yatagarasu made it through development and then fizzled out immediately - I'll keep my eyes open if anything important is worth posting.
but this game has a new gimmick: it's ugly as fuckIs this the new indie fighter that wants to be MvC2 since Skullgirls dudes are focusing on Indivisible?
this is a nonsense sentenceIt's a 2v2, 4-player game in the style of MvC2 and 3S

An objectively bad opinion.
idk, it looks pretty shitty so far. I'll wait to see more but as it sits the character designs look really terrible.
List of western fighting games that don't have horror elements:
- Rising Thunder
Will buy.
Huh? KI has many horror elements...KI tho
There's a Youtube Channel with some videos up
Here's a video showing off some gameplay/combo juggles (still really rough looking though)
Also seems they've started streaming recently.

You know, if 2D art for fighting games is so much more expensive than 3D models, how come all indie fighters are strictly 2D?
