Can I reserve the free tickets right now or wait for the timer to finish? Not sure if the timer is for people to be able to purchase tickets.

I don't get the hype behind Greg Miller. Is there anything particularly funny he's done? He's always seemed really forced and corporatey to me.

What else is at the event? More FFXV footage? Seems absurd to host a big event if all you're going to show is footage and a release date announcement for a single game.

The announcement of a date for the announcement of a release date ... FFS SquareEnix. Announcing the day you will tell is the release date is not an event.

They said they were going to go all out in showcasing the final FFXV. Something along the lines of "everything up until this point has been for FF Versus 13 fans that have been waiting for years, but we'll shift gears and show alot of final stuff for the general audience starting at the march event".

So I expect a big gameplay demo, a trailer, maybe a Q&A, and a big info drop in general.

I'm guessing the first proper trailer since the Dawn trailer at Gamescom, release date, collector's edition details, an interview with Tabata and other developers.

Oh wow I thought it was a concept art but it looks like it's a screenshot. All these jaggies. Maybe part of a cutscene.

I mean, they're going to talk about more than just the release date. It's most definitely locked for Q3/Q4 anyway, so don't get your hopes up.

They've said it's going to be a huge event.
- New trailer (showcasing a fuck ton of content, story details etc, that haven't been revealed yet)
- Release date
- Pricing
- CE details
- Details of the free demo
- Gameplay demonstrations onstage

Should be enough to warrant a big event :)

Possible stuff at the event?

- "Trailer One" with the theme song of FFXV.
- If "Trailer One" doesn't have the theme song in it, then announcing the theme song.
- Real-time gameplay trailer of a "set-piece" moment ala Leviathan/Titan
- Gameplay live demo
- Release date
- Typical developer interview/with host, etc.
- SKU versions of FFXV. (Standard, Limited, Collector's)
- Maybe a limited edition console?

If I had to predict the events line up:

1. Epic story driven trailer with release date
2. CE/LE contents/preorder bonus
3. Interview with Tabata/English voice cast
4. Demo reveal, maybe with some live gameplay
5. Kings Glaive movie reveal.
lol

For Japan.
I doubt that it would release extremely earlier in Japan, considering this event is being hosted in the US (which tells us pretty much everything about the most important market to Square Enix for this game). It will probably be a near simultaneous launch.

Indeed, Tabata has said multiple times they're aiming for simultaneous launch worldwide.

In this ATR I believe Tabata said that they are planning for a simultaneous release.

They will announce some event or quest for FFXIV where you can get a mount based on the car from the game. Also costumes for your characters.

That's my guess for some surprise announcment.

They said months ago that the release date would be announced in a big FFXV event in March. It'll be a big event, so of course they are going to hype it beforehand. It's like your kind of silly people are looking for dumb things to be annoyed about.

The game will most likely have a simultaneous release worldwide (at most there's a few day difference between regions). That's been their aim for a long time now and they haven't shown any indication they've changed those plans.

Edit: oops, double post.

So, we now have a release date release date!?

I have a terrible feeling this game will disappoint everyone.

I always love that when Square-Enix announces a month for something, they try to put it at the very last day of the month.

Just once I'd like something to be at the beginning of the month.

I do hope you people are right in the simultaneous world wide release. But saying it's part of Square Enixs plan doesn't really give me much confidence when it comes to this title or them as a company. Lets just say my expectations are low and I'm welcome to being surprised.

I have to echo this sentiment.

The slow burn has soured me so much. For a game that arguably has been in development in some fashion for nearly a decade (even if they tossed out most of it), I think it was a mistake to rereveal it so far away from release.

I dont. I think people are genuinely feeling hype and the interaction they have continued to make with the community is welcome. This game is gonna be huge when it eventually releases. Cant fkn wait.
