Yeah I don't think that thread reflects well on the community at all. Were it not about Canada but some non-English-speaking country I can't help but feel that some of the statements made there wouldn't have been tolerated.
There's a lot else I could add but it's not really appropriate in polite company, so who's got some deals?

Asterix at the Olympic Games came to Canada but not the US and obviously no one made a fuss about it...
I haven't ordered from them in a while, but generally they've been pretty reliable. Game usually ships quickly but can take a while to arrive. I only had to pay import fees once, but I'm guessing that was because I chose a more expensive shipping method (usually I just go with the cheap bubble mailer).

I wish there was a physical release in canada, I really do and hopefully we can convince Sony still to release the physical copy here in canada but that's not the answer to not support the series at all. Yes don't buy it right now but to say that you won't support the series just shows them that it's not worth them supporting either if the interest isn't there.

They also have Majora's Mask, the Kanji "Ambassador", Mario Maker etc. Some are as high as $21.49 (shipping is $7). Steep, but where else are you going to get em outside of importing, I guess.

It wasn't one tweet, they had been riling up GamerGaters and their ilk, which showed support for a harassment group. I've personally stopped purchasing from them because of it, not to mention I don't buy many Asia/English games anyway. More alternatives for Japanese imports.

Yeah, it wasn't just one tweet. It was a pretty disgusting marketing tactic tbh but worked for them as Gaters are really easy to manipulate. I'd prefer to not give them my business if possible now. Then again, I haven't needed to buy from them in several years anyway. It seems most people have found better sources for stuff but I don't import much anymore.

Figured it was worth mentioning here because I was actually waiting for the Pokemon n3DS but it seems to have come and gone quickly, so the same might happen with this one.
EDIT: Since I see it being mentioned here, I also didn't get a Cyber Sleuth DLC code from Amazon. Someone got a reply from Best Buy in the OT saying the game was selling more copies than the manufacturer gave them codes for, so I'm waiting to hear back from Amazon about that.

Since Shomi finally got their app out on PS4 I'm giving the free trial a shot. A few loading quirks here and there but otherwise it looks nice and slick. I also like the fact for tv shows when it's taking a few seconds to load it has a title screen like "Shomi [episode title]" Don't know if I'll keep it once the trial is over since Netflix has way more content. Just sucks they have a deal with FX for all their shows.
