I've been trying to get back into gaming (Rally Dirt has helped a lot lol), I played the beta on botyh XB1 and PC but at this price sorry XB even buying in $ you can't beat that.

Preordered.

Despite that clearly ugly ass map that made it feel like I'm playing where's waldo with missions, it is awesome to see so many things to do in The Division.

EDIT: Will there be a dev to finally solve the over saturated maps? It's great you have so much to do, but does anyone out there have a concept or idea that would make it better or streamlined or SOMETHING?

Well if you think about it in the beta the way to populate your map with activity/mission icons was either by visiting the Situation Board or speaking to the JTF officer (and I guess stumbling on them yourself). Other than that only story missions (or mission in the beta's case) appeared as and when you progress. Not the best solution admittedly but at least you can update your map from one of those sources, do those mission and then go update it again. Guess we'll see how it all works out in the full game soon enough.

Awesome then I´ll still give it a go tonight:)

And then code you can always redeem through and US PSN acc if it doesnt work.

I've never purchased DLC through my US PSN account before. Can you purchase it on a US account and use it through a UK account on the same console, as you can with games?

edit: no idea why I care so much about outfits :P

Btw. what was this drone thing on the beta map?
Some kind of collectible? I shot it but did not notice any drop/pop-up etc.

It drops an intel type thing when you shoot it. You can pick that item up and get 300xp IIRC.

I need that Hunter skin pack :(

Last night my friends and I were playing some Crucible in Destiny and caught ourselves complaining over and over about lag, wonky hit detection and so on...

Then we remembered how much fun we were having in the Division beta not too long ago ::sigh::

This game can't release soon enough.

I posted 10 articles, some time ago on CI, haven't received any acknowledgement for the Hunter outfit though. Hope I don't miss out, it's the one I really want.

Yes you can, though some addons need the same region as the game to work (i think?).

Am I the only one who wasn't a fan of how it showed exactly where every little collectible was? Kind of took away a sense of exploration, which is key in an RPG game.
Once you find or pass by and area with crafting resources it becomes marked on your map, they regenerate every 2 hours.

Is that why the game felt so heavy for me? I literally couldn't play it like that as it felt like I was covered in sludge.

Yep. I noticed the lag as soon as they gave me control over the character. Before leaving the helicopter I spent a few minutes messing around with settings trying to compensate. Was still noticeable after playing for hours.

This is a bit of a tangent, but this has ruined a lot of games for me in the past.

For some reason, reviewers never mention input lag. Ever. I don't know if professional reviewers in general are just idiots, or if I'm simply excessively sensitive to input lag in a way that most game enthusiasts are not.

The input lag issues always come up later, after end consumers have had some time with the finished product. Which, if you want to buy early, will leave you with a product you can barely play a lot of the time.

I feel like input lag isnt the only technical detail reviewers miss. I dont know if its due to the more visible and established reviewers being much older (regarding eye sight, hand coordination) or just never possessing a level a skill for it to matter. Maybe its too much effort to measure compared to the number of people who would care. You would think outlets like Digital Foundry would already be all over this kind of thing though.

Someone posted this on twitter.

Where is this "exclusive gameplay clip"? like do you need to pre-order via amazon to see it? that's bullshit.

Recap?

No audio at work :)

TL;DR Takes longer to travel the division map than los santos even if los santos is a lot bigger (due to vehicles) but division is also a lot more dense. Division map is the same (~) size as Fallout 4, which have gotten praise for its massive map, while Division is getting slammed for having a small map (lol).

Spot on

Wondering if that new faction at the UN building will be one of the end game bosses maybe? Could be great to face down an exosuit powered PMC inside the great hall of the UN.
