ORAS is one of the best games out right now

ORAS is the best for competitive training, and has a much beefier postgame than XY. The only knock I have against it is the lacklustre Pokemon selection until you beat the E4, but that's more of an indictment against Gen III than anything. Unless you pick Blaziken there are no worthwhile Fire Pokemon.

There was a Rainbow Six: Siege Digital Plus Edition on PS4 that was $59.99 that came out a month or so back, but unless I'm mistaken it's completely gone now out of nowhere. Which seems a little shady.

Ah, problem solved!

There was also an $89.99 AC Syndicate + Rainbow Six Siege bundle on PSN the other day, but they changed the price to $119.99.

ORAS is legendary heaven, so many to catch. Add on top of that all the distributions that are happening this year and I'm like

Didn't finish yet but what's wrong with oras

A step in the wrong direction is a bit of stretch on my end admittedly. For me X and Y were the better experience, partly because of nostalgia and mostly because I enjoyed the overall gameplay, even at the competitive level. For me the games did well in having a very diverse pokemon selection, actual character customization, fairly painless way to hatch eggs for breeding, and being very friendly to new comers and players of the gen 1. All that was missing were patches for future updates to make the games an even more polished experience. Instead we got ORAS, which in their right are the more polished games, but introducing remakes felt like a cheap cop out for not to support the relatively new games that came out a few months prior.

This is just my two cents though. ORAS is still fun but I got a fresher more enjoyable experience out of X and Y. Still holding out hope for a game based in the Orange Islands area.

I knew a complete Heart Gold and Soul Silver went for some money, but over $100 easy? So glad I held onto my copies then. Still have my Gold, Silver and Crystal boxes too. They might be a bit banged up though. Not sure. Does a complete Platinum go for more than any of the games in that gen?

Bought Vizio E-48 450$+tx at Local Costco yesterday...might be YMMV

Was looking at a 50-55' as 48 look smallish @ Costco...

but 48 is actually a big difference from 37' and fit perfectly for my appartment.

Don't think so. Damn, what I'd give to go and re-experience Crystal for the first time (not much but you get it). Good times.

I think those games are on sale for the equivalent in CAD on PSN right now... I recently picked up Uncharted for $35, and I know there's a Bandai and EA sale on as well.

To cancel the Fire Emblem limited edition 3DS XL or not....

already own a black new 3ds xl and the limited one doesnt even look that good

So my friend just sent me this link for an Amazon (US) sale for digital games: http://allforgamenews.com/2016/02/06/amazon-february-weekend-digital-sales-75-ps4-ps3

Is there any way for Canadians to take advantage of this?

With how shitty the Canadian dollar is and the weakness of the conversion, most (if not all) of the sale value is lost anyway.

And this just mirrors the sale on PSN. You're paying way more getting these games here and then converting to CAD than just buying it on the Canadian PSN.

PS4 Dirt Rally is finally available on Amazon on pre-order. Last year Amazon hat pre-order deals during e3, black Friday and Boxing day (and maybe more?) I think. Any chance there will be a a deal like that before April 5th, when it releases?

Some of us get free Amazon.com credit from various sites/apps on our phones.

Will it be the same on console?

http://blog.camposanto.com/

What you may not know is everything else about the launch. Here we go…

  • Firewatch is priced at US$19.99 on Steam and the PlayStation Store.
  • On Steam, you can preorder the game now at a 10% discount—and it can be bought bundled with the original soundtrack, which is also 10% off!
  • On PlayStation Network, you can buy the game on release day, and PlayStation Plus members will get 10% off! We’ve developed a super-snazzy PS4 theme, and that will be available separately or in a discounted bundle with the game.

Does this only work with XB1 or can it be dual modded?

If you buy a controller for another console you can strip it and solder it in to dual mod it. It would require a switching board though I believe (which you can buy from various sites dedicated to selling this sort of thing.)

Whew, got the last 32GB Vita memory card at Walmart. An impulse $56 purchase kind of stung, but far less than a planned $90 one would have.

Anyone see any deals recently for a 5.1 A/V receiver? Seems like my current one has crapped out on me as it keeps flashing on/off randomly while watching stuff. Not really looking for a high end receiver - just the bare minimum for 5.1 channels.

I'm like really late to the party on this, but I'm guessing the PS TV is a dodo in Canada now eh?

Did they ever remove the lock on the Japanese one?

I thought if there was a cheap Canadian one, I could get a friend or family member to send it to me.

i still see the bundles at bestbuy, even royal canadian super store has them

Me: I have the Fire Emblem SE on two day shipping, but the delivery estimate is 11 months later.

Amazon: Sorry.

Me: So... when is it going to arrive?

Amazon: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

cool

What lock? I use an Asian white Vita TV and have no problems

I think lupinko is referring to the PS Store lock, which IIRC was lifted once PSTV launched throughout the rest of the world. (Mainly that accounts outside of regions Vita TV had launched in were unusable initially)

Same, except I pre-ordered Birthright and not the SE. It clearly says the game will be in stock on the 19th, but my order will be shipped in 2017.

Does the VitaTV play PS1 Classics? I can't remember if PS4 can, but now that I'm getting back into PS1 games on my VITA I'd like to play them on a bigger screen sometimes.
