DRIVECLUB Feb 2016 Update Details (The City map update)

I got tired of the game
I loved to grind levels but not Elite enough to beat some of the times to level up so gave up

Saw this in the Street Fighter thread. It's going to get more mileage like Smiles and Cries. Pun intended.

I never race a track more than twice in one sitting. I also never do more than an hour per gaming session. I think this is just good racing/gaming advice in general.

We addressed that. Elite levels have been separated from Driver Levels. You can continue to level up without having to beat those elite times :)

Oh, this is great news!

I lover Racers they are my favorite in the Hobby, I'm just not that good, I don't even own a wheel so if I stop having fun. :Cries

I know it's a lot to ask, but please think about adding in rally. I just haven't been impressed with the rally offerings so far this gen and I think evolution with their motorstorm pedigree could do a great job.

Driveclub Season 2: Rally Storm

omg.
I gotta get on this. haven't played since before bikes.

still worth season pass? what's the best way to get up to date?

This is all I need: “No Limits” Expansion Pack featuring 6 events, 5 Trophies and 2 new cars: Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec II & Honda Civic Type-R. » <3

Haven't played in a while, is the 'American Muscle' roster still limited to basically zero? I think there was a Charger and Challenger, but they were both 2010 models.

I wonder if the filters being usable during gameplay falls under the graphical enhancements they were saying would come. While cool, still hoping for something a bit more.

Anyway, this update is killer. Ever since buying the game I've wanted to remove the assists and now finally I can. New track is a huge addition as well. Will buy the R34 too.

These models were added as part of the season pass:

  • Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 CE
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06 CE
  • Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
  • Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
  • Chevrolet Corvette Z06, 2015
  • Dodge SRT Viper GTS
  • Dodge Charger SRT8
  • Dodge Challenger SRT8 392

EVO guys I started playing Driveclub from day one, platinumed it, got all the expansions via season pass, beat all the tours, got the bikes, beat their tour and Ebr, i'm level 85 but i'm far from being fed up.

You made a masterpiece of a game and you are defining new standards of excellence in post game contents quality.

Developer of this gen at the moment.

I like this business model. As long as you have a good base engine then who needs a completely new game? Just keep updating the one you have. I wish sports games would be like this.

You may be a completionist like me. I have a hard time moving on to the next race without mastering it. Sometimes you have to move on and find the next race. Part of the fun is always getting better step by step. You just can't give up, those three seconds you need to shave are hidden on a perfectly turned corner. Good racing...

Right haven't played in ages. Latest trailer has definitely made me wanna play again. Civic Type R fan boy here!

I can't recall a dev supporting their game this good. I mean, I found DC quite disappointing at launch tbh, and I never ever imagined they would go this far to satisfy us customers. Kudos to Evolution.

Incredible, Project Gotham Racing lives on! Love the Edinburgh based track, being a Scot it's nice to see. The rain in the video is very apt!

Will pay for the new cars, need me some Honda love in this game.

Hardcore mode, I really hope it's as good as I'm thinking it could be. Definitely need a new challenge and something that makes this feel like a more realistic take on driving combined with the photo real gaphics is what I've been waiting for. It is truly a testament to these developers that they are giving us ALL the stuff that's been requested by many in the community. I honestly never expected a new more realistic physics model to be brought into the game, I thought that was a pie in the sky ambition. YES!

What amazing support, they've really gone all out, kudos (tick-tick-tick-tick-tick) to them!

City tracks, Skyline and a new hatchback. Nice.

Can the Nissan use liveries this time?

- edit -

Are the tracks in reverse also?
And while you are at it, how about that NSX? *wink wink, nudge nudge*

that video convinces me to buy the Skyline, but doesn't convince me on the city track. Was hoping for a feel of PGR2 but the tracks in the trailer look very open. Will obviously try it out anyway.

The changes to the multiplayer are good - like the ability to choreograph photo ops by turning off ghosting etc.

Would love to know about a season pass, but I think they deserve my money regardless. Love this game and will buy the new cars day one.

They haven't mentioned a new season pass, so I'm going to wait it out on the new DLC for awhile. In my eyes, it's a real possibility there won't be a second season pass because additional content for Driveclub will most likely end after this year. I'm not sure we'll see enough new content this year to justify a new season pass.

Unless this is a smaller season pass, coming in at $15.

Soooo good!

My only dissapointment is that there isn't a new season pass yet.

And the base for your speculation is what?

It's been said numerous times that they want to turn DC into a game as a service type thing (which they have been doing for the last 7-8 months at minimum).

I wish this game had more assists in the handling model for noobs like me, because the post-launch support has been phenomenal and I'd very much like to experience it.

So much this.

I am far from a platinum though. Still have plenty of tour and expansion events to do too. But that hasn't stopped me from reaching 80+ like it was nothing. And the new tracks and hardcore mode are just the things to pull me right back in.

This post is to thank Paul for the great game ,support and awesome driving experience ,we, the PS4 owners were offered with the game Driveclub. Thank you Rushy, keep up the good work in future.

They are still not charging for a new season pass? Pretty insane at this point.

Have you tried the recently added brake assist yet? They also added easy difficulty for the tours a while ago.
