Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

Same, I'm on that season pass. Fuck that shit.

Also, I almost preordered from Amazon but I decided not to because shipping to my work for some reason takes forever. So I'm going to pick it up at Target on the way to work.
 
People should really not get their hopes up about characters appearing in the story line as signs of DLC. Capcom said they want to tie up the story, so it only makes sense you'll see a bunch of characters to help loop things together. Whether they are cameos or not remains to be seen until next year.

Edit: I'm upset that they did Charlie wrong and basically ruined the ending of SFA3. That's such a huge retcon and makes my boy look even more worthless.

They also have voice actors tho and those arent cheap, you would assume it wouldn't be just for a couple of story screens.

Udon comics are like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms of Street Fighter lore - fun to read, but most of it is fluff and obscures the events. There's a plot guide if you really, really want to get into the story.

Depends on the voice actors. It's a better indication than usual, but I still don't think it's the most telling sign.
 
Not like ing having to pick a predetermined character before a match. Having to switch out my favorite character is a pain. I'd rather just choose my character pre match.

You'd be surprise how cheap they can be. Part of the reason why The Voice Actor's Guild is threatening to strike.

I believe her original model in 4 had a bigger breast size than the final version. So I guess they're going back to their original vision :P

I got the season pass for steam as well since gmg had a 20% discount, I'll just bank my FM for season 2, with the amount of costumes coming it won't go to waste. Plus who else knows what's going to be in the store?

Since I'm seeing some Viper love, I'll drop a story tidbits to help ease the passing hours as we wait for SFV. Well, some of us.

Viper tried to recruit Hakan since most of her C.I.A. friends got merked. She probably beat his ass and didn't recruit him, but still remains curious as to how he can fight like that effectively.

They need to finish the SNK ripoff job & give her Vice's short hair. Anything would be better than that birds nest she's got. No idea how they'd be able to make her fit in SFV though. Mechanically she was already too complicated.

Cody isn't THAT strong. I think he's higher than most of the people in his tier, if not all of them, but he's a step below the big leagues. Oni's quote is what people go off of, but he gives compliments to Gief as well, so I don't take that for much face value. I do think Guy is stronger than him, if only by a little.

So far, Gill is the strongest. Maybe not in raw power, but he came back from the SnH shit, so even if he's not outright stronger than Akuma, he can outlast him if he chooses. Otherwise, it's Akuma SF3 version. Unless Gouken is still kicking.

Udon Comics aren't really canon. They do a decent job in some cases, but Chun Li being able to hang with Nash? Nah.
